We are pleased to share our very positive experience with Yong Cheng, Joyce, and the exceptional Providend team, whom we engaged for our family’s financial planning. In our initial online research across various personal finance forums and message groups, Providend’s name frequently came up (especially when people asked for advisory firms with trustworthy and reliable reputations). This led us to reach out, and we quickly began early discussions with Bryan, whose professionalism left a strong and positive first impression of the firm. My advisor is Eleanor. She had, a few years ago, meticulously provided me with a comprehensive, well-thought-out retirement plan for my wife and I using Providence's proprietary RetireWell methodology. This plan has given us peace of mind as we weren't very sure whether we have sufficient resources to meet our retirement prior to meeting Eleanor. In addition, Eleanor also reviewed our insurance plans and gave suggestions how best to streamline our existing plans. After onboarding, Eleanor reviewed our portfolio annually, and most importantly, we were educated regularly by the firm whenever any global or Asian catastrophic events occur which may impact our portfolio negatively and what cause of action we should take. Providend cares for their clients and it is their passion to ensure we retire well. My only regret is that I should have started this journey in my 40s and not when I turn 50!

Providend is THE financial advisory with not just the brains, but the heart. Before I had the net worth and privilege to be their client, I knew of them through their many engagements with the media on TV and radio to educate the general public on financial matters like insurance, CPF and investments. Went for "second opinion" financial planning instead of the usual advisory you get from traditional insurance agent. The key take away from this is the 10-20years mapping of your major financial goals and also clarity on all your policies which you have accumulated over the years. I was looking for independent financial advice when I came across their CEO Christopher Tan's podcast (Providend's Money Wisdom) and decided to engage Providend's financial planning service. Yong Cheng (supported by Joyce Chng) were the advisors assigned to me. From the get go, they were different from other advisors I had experience with previously.
