Brought my boys here for the first time. A small space but barber seems quite skilled. He even advised on what kind of haircuts the boys can go for. My younger one ended up looking very cute like a Thai boy. For my elder one, I expected the line to be more precise but still it was ok. Both came up to $24. If you happen to be in Hougang area, worth a visit to this shop.

Came here on 8/2/24 (Thurs) around 5pm, wasnt packed. Found this place and had to resort as my last option after finding out Trinity Barber nearby was closed. Pros: Cheap price, decent cut and decent guy. Cons: Small space, squeezy and no aircon available. Don't expect a $25 haircut here, requested a skin fade but got a zero fade instead. Barber also doesn't do lineups on your hairline which I expected. Overall good place for anyone looking for quick cuts. Service was done in less than 15mins but judging from the barber, he was on the phone while cutting my hair so I assumed he was rushing the cut.

~Personally, hair is very important to me. It serve as a image of how you are like as a person, also, trusting the hands of your barber with the least effort it takes~ So I shall not gatekeep this place for all the gentlemen out there. I was quite shocked how lowkey/underrated this shop was when I chanced upon it. Like for real. These ratings here don’t serve enough justice for Mr Murugan. In such enclosed space, you won’t believe Mr Murugan’s one man show with precise skills and experience was clearly enough to top every other barbers in Hougang but it does! First of all, Murugan was able to listen attentively to your request and give you a haircut closest to your wants or even do it in better style. For me, I usually just trim my hair as I wanted to grow mullet. Murugan will give timely heads-up whether you want him to continue with his service or you done it just right there, unlike other barbers. which is truly impressive how such micro details Murugan does pay attention to. I’ve been there twice, first experience; he was on a phonecall, so I am quite skeptical whether he will put in proper effort but guess what, he gave me a sexy haircut that was dripping like hell. I even gave him tips for it. ~My first haircut duration is less than 10mins so I gave my man credit for his skills~ Secondly, I’II will give it to the wallet friendly price it is offering. As you know nowadays haircut isn’t that affordable either. But for $10-$12 you get a relatively “professional” haircut service done there. I definitely recommend 684 Barber Shop to everyone, you will not be disappointed. As I will say we’re clearly lacking these kind of professional barber in market. So do not judge book by its cover. After the visits, I wont fall for any cheapass membership scheme whom only does to covet profits, I fallen for Murugan, the drip god lolol Nonetheless, Murugan is a humble and friendly dude who doesn’t hardsell and waste your time. Always wearing a smile and does his job properly. Please do support 684 Barber Shop so that my favourite go to won’t close down🙏

Its by chance that I found this place.I never changed my barber in hougang for 20 years but decided to try my luck for a haircut.This dude did a awesome job on my hair plus on my beard. Murugan is a humble and cool chap and very skilled too.I Will confidently recommend to the young and young at heart to give him the opportunity to give you the hairstyle of your choice and at a very affordable price.Kudos murugan... looks like i will seeing you often.👍
