ec has been my go-to salon for more than 5 years now! been doing my 90.10 treatment without fail and it always uplifts my confidence to have smooth and healthy hair. have tried root revival, colour and perm and they’ve always delivered. i always look for Carey and Grace, very professional and lovely ladies who will take good care of ur hairs 🫶🏼💯 they’re very gentle with your hair and give lots of tips and ideas on styles that suit you. Ava is also really friendly with her chats and efficient appointment setting & payments. i always feel comfortable here. highly recommended ❤️‍🔥

From the cozy atmosphere with refreshments to the actual hair dye and treatment, the team made sure that we were comfortable. There was no hard selling and hairstylists - Ze and Gavin were detailed and took great care of us. I’ve been going to Empire Charme for years, and Ze is absolutely amazing! From haircuts and color to scalp treatments and texture control, Ze has handled it all with skill and care. Avagail and the team are always so accommodating and friendly, creating such positive vibes with their chit-chat. I even brought my friend along, and we both had a fantastic experience! I struggled to find the perfect salon, but this one has truly made a great impression. Highly recommend! :)

Went for a hair treatment session and they said beforehand that I could bring my baby, so I did :) 
I’ve been experiencing post-partum hair loss, so the treatment was meant to target that issue. Here’s what I liked about the season: ✅ Parent-friendly: The fact that they were ok with me bringing my baby for the session ✅ Great treatment: Apart from having to keep baby entertained, the treatment was pretty relaxing and cooling. I left the salon feeling great about my nice and smooth hair! ✅ Friendly attitude: The staff members were mostly friendly to me and my baby. ✅ Amenities provided: They lent me a phone charger and also gave me a drink and snacks. ✅ Privacy: When I was nursing my baby, although I told them I didn’t need the curtains drawn, they had the curtains available for anyone who would like more privacy and would like them to be drawn. (They also had them drawn for me even though I said “no need” so I’m not sure why they asked in the first place 🤡 ) However, here’s what I feel could be improved: ❌ Damp clothes: The back of my top was wet after the hair wash and they helped to dry it with the hairdryer, but it would be great if it didn’t get wet in the first place 😅 ❌ Narrow-minded view point: Staff member assumed my baby’s gender just because she was wearing a blue top. Could be more progressive. ❌ Lack of consent: Baby fell asleep right before I had to leave. I had to unlatch her and put my carrier on before wearing her back to sleep again, so I knew she would be cranky about that, but it was only gonna be for a short while. I placed my baby on the seat where she started crying, but I only needed a few seconds to put my carrier on and I wanted her to be left on the chair for the few seconds. The staff member tried to grab her by the arms while asking if I needed any help, and I told her multiple times “no need”, “please leave her on the seat”, “I don’t need any help”, “I can handle this myself”, but she ignored me and proceeded to carry my baby into her arms instead. I was very uncomfortable with this because not only did my baby continue crying since it was someone unfamiliar holding her, I also have no idea whether this staff member is well or vaccinated or has any unsafe chemicals on her hands from another client that she didn’t wash off yet. You may disagree with me about some points being pros or cons depending on your lifestyle and how you interact with people, but this is how I felt about it. Update: They followed up to apologise for the lack of consent from the staff member, so it’s nice to know that they’re willing to listen to feedback!

I've been using their services since November. And I've been attended by all their stylists; Carey, Gavin & Ze. Trust me all of them are GREAT! If you're looking to have a new hairstyle pls approach either of them and they'll offer the best advice and service, no regrets. I really appreciate how they don't push to sell their products or services. Also they have 2 other staffs who always does the hairwash for me ; Grace and Vung who are also super friendly. Always greet with a smile and have great conversations with them. I have visited their other outlet too. But hands down Kovan is the best. The warmth and friendless is just amazing. To top it all, Ava who always advises what's best for the hair health instead of just the outlook of the hair is simply a gem. In other salons, they try to push more services like hair dye, highlights etc, but here when I asked she advised me not to as it'll further damage my hair. This is why you guys should go to them. No hard selling, truly customer centric. Love and kudos to team Kovan!

I am a regular and stick with Empire Charme Kovan almost a year. I am super pleased with the hair colour and treatments recommended by Carrie from her professional advice. My hair texture changes drastically due to my medical condition and side effects that medications impacting my hair and scalp. My stylist, Carrie together with her team are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is always welcoming. Carrie and team will do their best to provide their top notch services no matter how busy it gets even at the peak times during weekends. Carrie managed to save my hair...since my first visit...leaving my hay that used to be dry and brittle...now healthier and more manageable. Highly recommended!

Have been going to Empire Charme for well over 7 years since Jack joined them, can always trust Jack for the best advise for hair care & hairstyle that is most suitable for me. Their products & treatement recommendations are great too, not those hard sell kind who just wants you to buy their product or do their treatment. They actually worked for your specific hair type. I used to have very oily scalp but after using their products and treatments, my hair is now very healthy and no longer have oily scalp. Friendly & accomodating staff and always happy & smiling. Both my son and myself will visit this saloon monthly. Somehow I like their warm & charm welcome service when stepping in. AVA and GRACE always put on smiles. CAREY the hair stylist which I have been with her 20 over years. They are professional, patient and well manners. JACK also another friendly guy in this saloon.
