Reviews of Aliwal Park Hotel
I booked 1 room for 3 person and the room was quite small and for the bathroom was dimly lit. There was no devider between shower and wastafel. Then they only provided a cup of mineral water for 1 night.
Location is located in the middle of public transport however quite far from MRT station.
We stayed in this Hotel for a 3days-2nights economically visit to Singapore. We cannot complain about the friendliness and hospitality of their front desk agents. Though we were welcomed by some buggy company in the bathroom on our check-in day, the bed and linens were clean so we settled right then. The proximity to the city tourist spots and restaurants was what made us like the place. We will book this hotel if we get to visit Singapore again on a tighter budget.
First time I stay in hotel with towel badly torn. I call up hotel reception, they don't believe about towel was torn. Staff ask me come to reception change. I told reception she make be joking. 5mins later, she came up. She was very rude with saying sorry about this incident just ask me show her the torn towel. She pass me a new towel, and she just walk away....
This hotel is kinda ok. The facilities equal the price. It doesn't have a breakfast service. The location is little bit far from MRT station but near many halal food providers. If you are a moslem and you need a hotel with decent price, i recommend you to stay here. The front officer is friendly and helpful.
The room is extremely tiny. It was not very clean. Plus can’t have visitors after 10pm so my friend couldn’t come in hotel.
The room is small, but they provide the most item we need such as free coffee, hot water and fast connection to internet. Located in the middle of tourism destination, I think it could be one of consideration hotel accomodation in Singapore.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Simple hotel but ticks all the boxes for the budget traveller: Clean, safe, everything works, and very convenient location for shopping, sightseeing and experiencing the old and new Singapore.
The staff is amazing and very helpful. Room is very comfortable and clean. Clean pillows and bedsheets.
Coffee offered for free and hotel is very close to centre
for the price I thought this was a good hotel the rooms are a little on the small side but the staff is friendly the rooms are clean and the they do have quite a few amenities there for guests if you are looking for a simple No Frills room to stay and then I would recommend going here
The hotel itself is fine, but the room had a smell, there was a roach running around, the toilet also was smelly but for the price you paid it make sense to get all of these stuff.
good service & good location. Just a few minutes walk to bus stop & mrt station.
Strategic place cause it's near Sultan mosque, so it's easy to get halal food. The facilities was so so. Suitable for moeslim backpacker.
Not so much a good hotel. But if you're on budget and looking for a tight family room, this place can definitely offer this to you. Location wise wpuld be the highlight of this hotel
fantastic location. Strikingly beautiful receptionist. Great friendly staff. Room was adequate. Great to get a room all to yourself, for the price.
Nice hotel near bars with great value. A big mosque is also nearby. Not so far from Bugis area, makes it a nice place to stay with a fair budget.
Good location of the hotel. Easy access to bus and MRT.
It is located in the middle of MRT stations. Take about 10 min walk
Rooms are small and the ensuite is a toilet shower but you get unlimited WiFi
It is an old-world charm hotel, room is quite comfortable and clean.
Value for money. Hotel staff very accomodating and place is near shops and restaurants.
Nothing special, but the room is okay for single traveler.
Food price but the single room is too small, no cup board and almost no room for luggage.
Not satisfied much.no towel provided inside the room.look alike old things..pls upgrade the room things.thanks
Good hotel, nice serve, strategic location for Muslim traveller
Near masjid Sultan and culiner, small room with no window. Suitable for backpackers
stay is average, due to old building structure etc, bugs are normal
I see lots of cockroach and also in the toilets and insects and smells funny
not sure is a quarantine hotel but you pay with the amount and you get what you get .
a budget hotel near to sultan mosque, so so hotel you can stay for short holiday.
not bad
The location is good but the service was not too good enough.
always the most affordable.. but need some improvement for cleanliness
Nice hotel clean and family friendly
Ok...good
Small Rooms! Value for Money
Near for shopping and not expensive
My guest use to stay at this hotel
not bad
Great hotel in Singapore👍
Cheap and nearest mosque
No tea
Best value hotel
Not so clean
Good
Nice stay ;)
Two night stay here. The hotel is comfortable, safe and not noisy even though the rooms are close to each other. The staff is also quite friendly, can speak Malay.
Although the lobby space is small, it is quite comfortable. The hotel is clean.
I booked via Agoda, with the option of a room for 2 adults, but was reminded by the staff that if you add one person you have to be charged. Luckily I was alone.
I also extended my room via Agoda, but the room was not cleaned and mineral water was not added.
Apart from that, this hotel is quite recommended. Located in an area with many Arabs. Restaurants and food stalls are very diverse. Close to several popular places in Singapore. The hotel is only a few tens of meters from the Sultan Mosque.
First time staying here. For the holidays, I took 2 children. With affordable prices. It is decent and the condition of the room is sufficient for the four of us. The distance to Arab Street and the Sultan Mosque is very close. And it's close to the Bef Sultan Mosque bus stop so it's very close to take the bus. Recommend a hotel with a low budget when you go to Spore again.
The only interest of this hotel is its location in the heart of the Arab quarter and very close to Little India...I was lucky enough to have a room with a window onto the street otherwise I would not have stayed in this establishment, it It's just a good base when arriving in Singapore. The hotel staff are very nice young people and always ready to help. As usual I advise you to always bring your sheets or meat bag with you...
Very conveniently located, next to Arab Street with the mosque. You can walk to Marina Bay Sands (20 minutes). Friendly staff. The rooms are old, cramped, with a small window. The rooms have an electric kettle, cups, coffee, cosmetics (shower gel, set of toothbrush and toothpaste), towels. The main disadvantages are related to cleanliness: damp, dirty walls in the bathroom with mold, a dirty window, dust everywhere.
Friendly hotel staff, free coffee every day. That's all the TV channels. Hot water is available, balcony is okay, toilet is narrow. One downside, can't smoke.
Yes, it's not bad for a hotel and if you go with friends, rather than sleeping in a hostel with a dormitory and an outside bathroom and mixing with other people, the price is just right because it's for 2 people, hihihi... Oh, the cheapest mineral water in Aliwal is only 1 SGD :)
Good hotel facilities at affordable prices... The location is in the city center, close to many restaurants and cafes. It's quite far to the MRT but it's worth it because while walking to the MRT you can enjoy the cityscape of Singapore...
The hotel is a bit far from the MRT
But close to various Indonesian culinary delights, there is Nasi Padang nearby too
The rooms are small and you can only drink glass mineral water
Had a chance to see a small cockroach in the room
The building is a bit old
Got it cheap yesterday, if you buy it there it's 90 Singapore dollars (900 thousand rupiah). Near the Sultan Mosque and Malabar Mosque, both are close and can be walked. Halal food places near everything. MRT E11 is quite a walk, slept there for 2 nights, no complaints. Some of the receptionists can speak Indonesian sometimes
If it's just for sleeping, it's not bad, it's just that the room is narrow, it's difficult to pray, the wifi is fast, but it's far from the MRT, tired of walking, but there's lots of food around the hotel, the mosque is also very close, the higher up the room the narrower it is, overall Good.
I spent a few nights in this hotel, interesting for its proximity but the room was damp and not very well maintained. I have average memories of it, given the price I expected worse!
The hotel is quite comfortable, only the elevator is surprising when you go up. Prices are quite competitive for the size of the place in Bugis with offers close to Sevel, near the Sultan Mosque, Bugis Street Haji Lane, and 500m to the MRT, both Lavender and Bugis, just choose.
The hotel is very well located in the Arab Quarter with its bars, restaurants and shops, close to the Masjid Sultan Mosque and the entire Buggis shopping center area is a 10m walk away.
Book this room only for transit. the room is narrow... but what can you expect with a price this cheap. On the positive side, the receptionist is very friendly and the hotel area is surrounded by lots of halal food. not bad
The hotel is small. But there are lots of halal food places around it. Very close to the Sultan Mosque, Haji Lane. You can walk to Bugis in about 5 minutes.
The hotel is ok for just one night. It's worth the price. Next to the hotel there is a halal stall. Near the Sultan's Mosque and other Islamic buildings in Singapore.
The rooms are very small, but for those who book this hotel just to sleep and rest, it's okay, low budget hotel, near the Sultan Mosque Kampung Glam
