S. M.Pretty cheap @30 SGD a night. Problem is if you're a tourist, reception BARELY speaks English. Also expect to provide a 10 SGD security deposit cash only. It's safe, clean, and cool though, no doubts about that! Reception is at the desk 24 hours, didn't see a single bug, and AC is great even makes the room slightly chilly. One annoying thing is getting assigned the upper bed, because it's a pain to climb, the steps are small, and the bed shakes. I asked to switch to a lower bed seeing as it was empty and I booked an extended stay (10 nights) so was hoping they could be courteous... nope they said what the system assigns is what you get. Wonder what they'd do if someone actually had an injury from climbing like that. Proceeded to see the lower beds empty for half my stay but if I used them I'd get fined like 100 SGD. Another annoying thing is it's a "15 min walk" to the MRT but it feels like forever, you're crossing like 11 streets and couple intersections. I tried to use the two bus stops (1 min and 5 min walks) whenever I could. You get a towel, they provide body wash/shampoo/hair dryer and there's an iron next to the elevator. Overall would stay again cuz it's the best hostel combining cheap/clean/safe and just hope I get the lower bed
A. 2.Erstwhile Hotel Ascendre, One of the most comfortable rooms, spic and span + well equipped toilets, plus good service right in the heart of Geylang.
The rooms have been renovated in a cost effective manner from the previous ownership. But overall the services and attentiveness of the staff members, like Amit or Hao, was exceptional. Had a great time, as I stayed there for 3 nights. The common space was fairly equipped, so even if you have food leftovers you can put it in. The location is very easy to find and near around one of the best eateries Singapore has to offer. For the cost it comes at, it is very cheap and affordable as per SG standard. No hidden charges, no frills and jargon, so the check-in and check out was equally fast and efficient. Kudos to the staff members for being really chilled, yet on toes to help the guests.

M.The Room Was Good and Looks Nice.The Bunk Bed at the Upstairse have problem when we need to go up or climb all is noisy and dancing so will disturb people at the below.Locker Sometimes can open sometimes cannot open and make noisy until other person angry because of the noisy.Thank You and I will thing twice to come back.

Sheets were moist, there is mould in the bathroom, the Lights are to dimm (Not Like the pictures) and there is water coming threw the ceiling.

정.There is a bus stop nearby, so it's easy to travel around. Although it's a share house, it's clean and the staff are friendly. It was convenient as restaurants and convenience stores were nearby.

T. M.Although the space between the beds is small, it is very convenient for a temporary stay for one night. The bed is very comfortable although there will be some noise when turning over. The bathroom is also very clean, which is great!
