I had an excellent stay at Hotel 81! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and a variety of dining options nearby. I was especially impressed with the level of service and attention to detail. The value for the price is unbeatable. I highly recommend Hotel 81 for anyone looking for a great stay in the area!

Receptionist Service: 1 chinese looking female receptionist wasn’t customer friendly. Coming from a 2 star family business, I wasn’t satisfied. Understanding how the business goes, she was rude and not helping to my issues at all. Cold end answers for my simple questions and requests. She did not resolve anything at all. SEND HER TO TRAINING PLEASE, OR JUST DON’T RUIN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY. However the other chinese looking male receptionist, he actually helped me with my issues although he’s firm and professional. That’s how it should be, super customer friendly yet standing on hotel’s principles. Everyone can come on a common ground. Rooms quality: It’s small with room & toilet yet I’m quite happy about it. Clean and hygienic. The house keeping staff are super friendly as well. Location: It’s pretty great. In Geylang, restaurants around, near the stadium, great for concert-goers.

Small room with built in glass window which is making the room pretty dusty with fluffy dust from clothes and new towel floating all over. And very tiny little toilet. However,The location is good, some restaurants and convenient stores nearby. To get around by a bus only 5 minutes walk to the bus stop, depends on where you go. Overall, it's worth to stay, if you don't mind small space.

I was surprised to find that the hotel was further away from the tourist area even though it displayed pictures of touristy places as if it were closer those places. However, it is a good budget hotel for those who don’t mind being immersed in the simple neighborhood. Upon my arrival, checking in was smooth and hassle free. The hotel guys were kind enough to engage with me in a small talk. They were helpful enough to give me the ins and outs of the city and the best ways to tour.

Stayed here for a night. Easy access to public transport i.e. bus and MRT Kallang Station (nearest) walking distance of about 10-15 minutes. Room and toilet is rather small with limited movements nonetheless, we had a good sleep. Overall okay

This is a gem in the red light area of town. The place is a good location, close to amenities and restaurants. The customer service is wonderful. We just arrived in Singapore and I called to request for 3 rooms next to each other. When we got to the hotel only 1 room was ready, thus we were able to put our luggage there. But in a matter of 15 mins, we got the 2 other rooms. This was before noon time. So I want to commend the wonderful folks of this hotel who accommodated my family and gave us a wonderful experience in this lovely place.

Our room was clean and modern with a big window. However, the staff was unfriendly during the check-in, the room too small for two people (we booked a room with twin beds). Furthermore, the door was not insulated from the noise, so we could hear everything that was happening outside of the door, especially the noisy cleaning staff around 8-9 a.m. every morning. + : near a bus station, cleaniness, good wifi, air-conditioning, comfortable bed, big window. - : small room, bad noise insulation (room door), some staffs were unfriendly.

Very friendly staff, always wanting to help great management team. Rooms keept clean regularly and topped up with complimentary water, coffee and tea. Close to city your only a taxi ride away from all attractions. Enjoyed our stay came back a second time.

Rooms are small for the price but enough. Not amazing cleanliness as there is quite a lot of dust. Some sheets are also stained. It was quiet on the 6th floor. The location is good, and is relatively close to sight seeing spots (~10 to city via mrt) There is also a bus stop near by Hotel that takes you to the MRT. An honourable mention to the male hotel manager Fabian - he was caring and provided amazing, quick and in depth service. However, the night time female receptionist was terribly rude and had lots of attitude. We had to wait one hour to receive a quick house hold amenity.

As a budget hotel, this location has all basic needs. Bed, shower, wifi, air conditioning, and near public transit. Unfortunately, the main lobby area smelled like cigarettes and the neighborhood seemed to have a drum circle that practiced every night.

This Hotel is one of the bestest hotels in this area. Booked a double bed room with window view and stayed for 5 days. The front desk (Fabien , Vanitha) was very helpful in assisting us with the MRT and the bus routes. You get 2 water bottles, coffee , tea mixes as complimentary everyday and there are many restaurants nearby. Found 2 restaurants ( ABC Bistro , Mufiz Prata corner ) where you can get Indian food. Rooms are cleaned everyday and bedsheets are changed once every two days. Opp Mohammed salleh Bus stop is at a walkable distance ( less than 50 foot) and the nearest MRT is kallang ( you can take buses to kallang MRT). Hotel lies on one way road. So to get back to the hotel you have to alight at Aljunied MRT and take the bus to Opp Mohammed salleh Bus stop. Only cons is - you get to hear the walking noise clearly from the hallway and bathrooms are small (but okayish). I felt I got whatever I paid for.

This is a very good place to stay. During my Singapore visit, I stayed 4 nights in Hotel 81 Orchid. Very flexible staff. 24 hours reception service. They clean the room daily. Rooms are quite small but very clean. They will charge SGD 15 per hour for late check out. Check in and Check out very fast. Parking is also available. The hotel is close to the bus stop.

Good for a single tourist. The hotel is in a bustling neighborhood. There are lots of shopping and low-cost good options at walking distance. Halal food outlets are also nearby, and so are Chinese. The hotel room was very small. Washroom was clean but small as well, but it was manageable. That's all fine, if you are a lone traveller. But the thing that I didn't like was low air conditioning. It was a little less than comfortable, so I felt a little hot and uncomfortable the whole night.

Clean and comfortable tiny rooms. The smaller room has the snakes bathrooms I’ve ever seen but it is clean and functional. Big luggage storage section and had tags to avoid confusion. Good reception.

Went to Singapore last June to watch SUGA of BTS concert. Stayed here for 2 nights. The staffs are accommodating. They allowed me to check in early (arrived 3 hrs before check in time). Located nearby the Singapore Stadium (1 bus away; Number 11 bus). Accessible to stores and restaurants. Small room but clean. The location is safe. They provided bottled water and clean my room everyday.

See info about the very small rooms - an ok place to sleep and go to the bathroom, but not shower, and if u need to be somewhere fast, you will have to use a taxi or Grab, IF u can get one there. Public transit is good, but takes an hour to 2 hours to get most places unless it is real close, cuz of all the stops it makes.

The Manager Leon was really kind and willing to attend to any request, such as lending an umbrella and assisting with booking of taxis. Alongside general comfortable rooms, a pleasant stay was made all the more enjoyable with Leon's service form the heart actions. A true gem in the hospitality industry. Clean place with super friendly staff. We had a double bed room, which was very small eg impossible to place two persons’ luggage conveniently in the room. Also not all rooms have a window. We had problems with the air conditioning and there was cigarette smoke coming to the room every morning. 10-15 minute walk to Kallang MRT station.

We stayed here for three weeks and it was very close to the East/West line and Circular line and also the Sheng Siong Supermarket and many cheap places to eat. We were given complimentary early check in and use of a shower room before a late flight. The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice and clean with free WiFi and daily linen change. We would definitely stay here again.

Hi! We stayed there last Feb. 18-22, 2020 ;) We loved the location of the hotel as it was very near (1 min. Walk) to a 24 hr. Restaurant called the Mongkok Dimsum (we ate there almost everyday) :) A 1- minute walk to a bus stop and about 10-15 minutes walk to a train station ( Kallang Station) ;) About our stay, the front desk staff were friendly, very helpful and answers our inquiries, shout out to Yi Song, the staff who accommodated us during our arrival and check in :) The room, it was quite small, we were 3 adults and 1 baby, with 3 luggages and hand carry, so imagine the space, and when we asked Yi Song and the other staff they said that in Singapore, the spaces are quite limited because of the prices of the properties (it’s quite expensive) nevertheless we still managed to have a good and pleasant sleep for 4 nights amidst the space :) Water and towels were replenished daily and we always ask the housekeeping agent to sweep out floor and fix the bed, because in our 1st day, upon arriving back in the hotel, we asked for a “make up a room,” only towels and water were replenished but the floor was dirty and beddings were still in a mess ;) If given the chance to go back & visit Singapore, I would still stay here! Very accessible kudos to the staff! 👍🏽✨♥️😀

Good location and I got the triple room for a decent price. But I think they have just converted the double bedroom to a triple so it's extremely small. Hence, I would recommend this place if you are travelling as a couple but not when you are with family.

A great affordable place and very clean. One thing to keep in mind is that they kee changing your wifi password so be prepared to get a bit confused. Also, you get limited space to move if you bring a big suitcase. Other than that this is a really good place and easy to get food around!

The hotel is equiped with modern rooms. Clean and tidy. Perfect for people on a short city break. The rooms have suffiecnt space. Bathrooms with open shower. The hotel doesn't offer any foods, but in the Gaylang area there are enough bars and restaurants offering local dishes.Good price as for Singapore. It's a less than ten minutes walk to the next MRT station, Kallang. You can also take a bus.

Overall it is considered good. Suitable for the price, there is wifi available from the lobby. In the room, the code in the room will be on the TV screen. In front of the alley there is a bus stop. When you come to check in, take the MRT to Kallang Station, then take a bus and get off at the Aft Geylang Rd sign, then walk back to the entrance of the alley. You won't be able to walk far. There is a 7-eleven and a grocery store at the entrance of the alley. The items in the grocery store are cheaper than in 7-eleven. The frog porridge shop is also in the area, but we didn't go to eat there. Came to see the shop last night before leaving😅 PS.1 Singapore instant cup noodles They don't give you a fork like in Thailand. I can only use a coffee spoon in the room to eat, haha. PS. 2 The rooms are quite new. The size of our room is adequate, not so cramped that we can't live in it. But the walls are a bit thin. Hear sounds from other rooms too late at night and early in the morning. But we were able to sleep soundly😁 In the bathroom there is shampoo/soap/mini tube of toothpaste/toothbrush (a little hard). There is a safe and a hair dryer in the drawer. P.S. 3 The air conditioner in the room can't be adjusted like it's locked. But late at night the temperature gets colder until it's cold.

The customer service is not friendly, not all of them. It just reduces customer satisfaction, especially if most of the tourists stay overnight. The rooms are standard airport rooms, minimalist in size.

The hotel rooms are very compact, nice and minimalist. The bathroom has hot water. Android TV and YouTube. AC cold. Calm atmosphere. There is parking for cars and motorbikes on the floor. base. Strategic location, close to cheap Klontong stalls, close to cheap t-shirt souvenir shops, close to the mosque. If you want to go anywhere, it's easy because you just have to walk to the bus stop 100m away. The nearest MRT stations are Kallang and Aljunied which can be accessed by bus. Staff is ordinary. You can leave your suitcase.

Very very small rooms, the rooms smell of mold. The bathroom is only 2x2m so the bathroom floods when you shower. It is also very loud when people walk and talk on the same floor. Definitely too bad for the price of around $100 per night. The environment is dirty and right in the red light district. However, the employees are very helpful and committed
