Reviews of ibis budget Singapore Clarke Quay
It was neat & small.
Exactly what I needed for my stay. 5 nights. Single bloke. Didn't need any frills.
Daily breakfast menu. Great 👍 aircon 👍
Good location to China town & Clarke Quey.
It's not budget.
It is what it offers.
I recommend it for lone traveller or couples passing through. 5 nights stay.
Has everything you need.
Stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. Rooms are small but clean and nice. Rooftop pool was also enjoyable. Location is very walkable
This place was wonderful. Really accomodating staff, wonderful rooms and a SWIMMING POOL!
Everyone at reception made us feel incredibly safe and welcome and the location is rgeat too. RIght above a 7/11, and just a small walk from a big shopping centre and train hub. Would recommend.
Our stay at Ibis Budget hotel was fun and exciting. The place is good for families and kids friendly too. Food is excellent snd the staff are polite and helpful. The rooms are bugger than expected and the ambiance is cozy. Would definitely come back for another stay if we are coming to Singapore soon. The place is very near to convenient establishments as they are located in the heart of metro.
We had a great stay. The room was not only clean but also boasted an excellent location. Close to metro stations, museums, and attractions made exploring the city a breeze. The value for money was outstanding, offering a comfortable stay with convenience. Highly recommended for those seeking both quality and affordability.
This place was so clean and beautiful the hotel was perfect seeting for relaxing getway The interior decor was luxurious yet warm and inviting. The family room that we booked was spacious and clean with comfortable double beds and linens. Everyone was caring about our needs to ensure that we were enjoying our stay.
Nice location, small room but functional and value for money
Singapore is a small densely populated country so don’t expect spacious hotels unless you’re rich. If you’re a backpacker, consider spending a little more and stay at a hotel over a hostel in SG it’s worth it in my opinion. The hotel is conveniently located near 2 MRT lines. The free breakfast at the cafe next door is really nice. Next time I’m in Singapore I’ll stay here.
After staying couple of days in Hokiday Inn orchard road..I had to shift here due non availability for two nights. I was little skeptical about this property as the name suggests BUDGET. To my surprise, this was a very net and clean property. Rooms are small, storage space under the bed and a locker too. House keeping was quick. Buffet is complimentary with a nice menu.
Overall I will recommend this property as it's value for money owing to it's location as well. Go for it folks. Keep in mind rooms are small but manageable.
Considering the budget, I would be more appreciate the service and also the check-in and check-out process is pretty fast. The family room is cool. The location is super amazing. Its pretty silent around the area so many restaurant and bar that open till late night.
Stayed here for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. The room is extremely small (we had the upgraded one but it is only marginally bigger than the standard so I would skip the upgrade) and was quite expensive (roughly £113 a night) for such a basic room. There was one very nice receptionist and a couple of moodier ones. The breakfast included was next door in a cafe and it was a refreshing change to not see the usual ibis buffet. My favourite was the room cleaner; he was so friendly, warm and welcoming and was truly very sweet; the epitome of excellent customer service. There was a swimming pool on the roof and though we didn’t have time to use it, it looked very clean and nice. The location is great; you can walk to Chinatown very easily and as Singapore has so many malls, you are never far from any food outlets. I’d recommend this place if it was a bit cheaper and if you don’t mind a small compact space (you shower right next to the toilet with no screen in between!).
The place is not bad location wise, close to the center and China town is on walking distance. There is a rooftop pool which is small, but clean and it has nice view of the city. We were staying in a room without a window and there was musty and stale smell constantly, so we couldn’t sleep at all during our whole stay. Also if you don’t have the AC turned on, there will be huge condensation in the room (once we woke up with water running on the walls), while in the same time if it is on it is so strong and it blows directly over the bed. We asked for a paid upgrade, but there were no free rooms available. I am not sure how the rest of the rooms are but never choose a room without a window.
The only reason for an extra star is Nadilah who was working there was so helpful and nice!
Given the size of the room (12 m2) they probably did their best. But make sure You book superior (the kind with a window). Otherwise the contrast between the elegant city of Singapore and Your own accommodation may be too frustrating.
Suprisingly poor choice of tv chanels. Yes, they are many but very local; no CNN, no BBC...
Perfect location and available staff.
Perfectly adequate for a few days. It is a "budget" hotel. The girls at reception are both friendly & helpful. My room is clean & comfortable but lacks storage space for clothes & the shower is badly designed. There really is a swimming pool!
We stayed for 4 days and our experience was great. Check in was fast and the front desk staff Thivyna was very helpful . Location is great. We had a room with a window. Though the room was small, it was clean. Breakfast was at Fangko and they had a variety of food to choose from. Our overall experience was great.
The rooms are tiny and the bathroom was a wet room, but the pool on the rooftop was terrific, the beds were so hard I ended up with sciatica. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Great location to get around to all the tourist attractions.
Excellent location close to hawker markets and good cheap local restaurants and nearby to most major attractions via walk (30 mins) or grab (7-15 mins).
Pool on floor 6 is great bonus & 7/11 attached to the hotel is very convenient and has many essentials.
Rooms comfortable and clean. small size for a couple, but adequate for a couple days stay and given the price, this is a good spot to stay in.
The bathroom is a wet room rather than separate shower and toilet, so please be aware of this. AC is powerful and plenty of power outlets as well as storage wardrobe which was fine for us with two backpacks
We enjoyed our stay and it is a good place to explore Singapore from on a budget
Nice and cosy hotel for budget travellers.
Rooms are not very big but sufficient with all necessary amenities.
Rooms are clean.
Location is the major advantage. Near to many restaurants and bars where Clarke Quay and Boat Quay areas are within walking distance. MRT is also within short walking distance.
Overall, highly recommended for the budget conscious and wont break the wallet.
The hotel is conveniently located and clean. The pool is nice, beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean when we stayed. Also the breakfast was good, served in a cosy adjacent cafè.
As budget hotel, it has acceptable level of size and cleanness, friendly stuff and smooth check in process. Deducted 2 stars for a noisy air-condition, that did not get fixed after i told them, water heater was not powerful and after few min water gets cold. If you get room with back street view be aware of noises at morning. The location is perfect for night walk or using public transportation. In compare to other IBIS in other countries, this one has lower service( for example Ibis Cambodia was perfect and super good). If you have quick trip and looking for low fare option, this one can be good choose 😊.
I guess for the price you pay, it's not too bad. But it is a tiny room. The toilet gets wet when you are having a shower, that's how close they are to each other. There's a switch for the hot water where the lights are. If you don't switch that on, you'll have a cold shower. They don't tell you about the switch when you check in. We just wanted a place to sleep as we would leave early in the morning and come back late at night (as we were exploring Singapore) it worked for us as a family.
The rooms are small with a very small bathroom. You shower right in the toilet. But the price is very reasonable and the location is great, so can't really complain. It had everything I needed for a short stay in Singapore. They also managed to check me in 5 hours early, which was very much appreciated.
The room was small but being Singapore I didn't expect much, adequate at best, the bed was the main complaint, not only was it small it was short, my feet hung over the edge and I checked my foot for a toe tag when the sun came up, A moutuary slab is more forgiving. The staff were great and lovely, and not in fact embalmers
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, small rooms but great location and helpful staff. Yes the entire bathroom gets wet when having a shower but that wasn't a big deal for me. Small closet space but you can make it work with the draws and bench top. The gym consists of one elliptical trainer machine so it's barley a gym and the pool is nice enough.
Excellent location, very convenient. Rooms and bathroom are on the small side but not unrealistically so. Only main complaint is that the air con is quite loud and can make it hard to sleep.
The service at Ibis was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing just next door to the hotel. Employees were polite, friendly so welcoming. They made our stay memorable. So convenient and close to all the attractions .
Key word is budget. Reasonable price with a good location. Room and bathroom were small, good for a single. Appeared clean. As any large city, lower priced hotels have small rooms. Staff was friendly. A good value.
Good location Close to Clarke Quay and the River. Small rooms but clean, with attentive staff. Swimming pool on the roof with small air conditioned gym. From here you are close to China Town and Little India. You can walk down the river to The Marina Bay complex and Gardens by the Bay.
Nice hotel with fascinating rooftop view and swimming pool. Good value for money but sadly they don't provide slippers. The location is a plus because it is very close to bars situated on riverside. MRT station is walking distance.
Cheap decent hotel. The bathroom is really really tiny though, there isn't even a division between the shower and the toilet, so when your taking a shower the toilet gets wet and its hard to move around especially if you're not asian size. Its okay but don't expect much though in the way of amenities.
Simple and clean rooms with excellent mattrasses! Well located hotel.
As a one night place and you are in a budget, this is a good hotel and location right next to Clark Quay. Save money on the hotel to pay for the expensive food and drinks. :) Rooms are small of course and an open shower so everything is wet after you shower. Staff were super friendly and gave me an upgraded room with a window. :) Overall this is ideal for 1 or 2 nights cheap lodging.
Great location 👍 Amazing staff, clean hotel and small outdoor pool on the rooftop. However, if you want to workout during your stay book elsewhere. They only have two cardio machines. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
We stayed here just one night. The room was small but i didn't see it as a problem since we were out all day and head back only to sleep. Location is good. Nearest mall and MRT are just 5 minutes walk. Overall, i am satisfied with my stay here.
Rooms are snug! Great central place, rooms are cleaned every day, decent coffee shop next door
It's not very expensive and you get what you pay for. Tiny box rooms, toilet shower combo bathroom and a TV that's aimed towards a standing audience. We were upgraded to a room with a window but it was basically the wall of the building next door.
I think this hotel is amazing to stay in singapore, if we want to find middle prices to stay in the hotel, this is it for holiday! 200meters only to walk to the clarke quay mrt. Which is the centro mall almost have everything in there! Nice chesse cake, beer, pizza, icecream, chicken curry..and many more to eat 😊 live music and a lot of good restaurants in clarke quay of course in the night.
The hotel is very clean!
Coffee&tea availabe in the room, towels, shoap&shampoo, hairdryer and cute desk to make up before we go!
The window room is quite cool, and the pool and the gym is also cool for the same prices with all hotels that they don’t even have pool sometimes :)
I definitely want to comeback and stay here again!!
Thankyou for the nice service 🙏🏾
The room is nice, clean.
Breakfast is delicous and staffs are friendly.
It’s closed to shopping malls, MRT, China town.
It’s good to stay here
Looks good in the lobby and the fact it has a rooftop pool (which is quite small) and not much of a view....
Idk who designed the toilets for the twin rooms as literally everytime you take a shower it pours water all over the toilet.
Quite humerous tbh... However very close to Clarke Quay and bus/mrt systems
Perfectly adequate accommodation. You're just sleeping there, so no need for lots of facilities. Wish it was closer to the MRT, but it's not too far to Clarke Quay Central with it's entrances to the MRT and really great food options.
Great service, very close to Clarke Quay MRT & bus station, all basic amenities are available (hair dryer, towels, drinks, etc)
Also gym and swimming pool are available at the rooftop.
It's clean & tidy. A little small but manageable. Roof top swimming pool is surrounded by nice landmark buildings
Great hotel. Staff are friendly and approachable. There is a gym and a pool available. Very close to the river and clarke guy and the central clarke quay mall. A short walk away from the MRT. Very cheap, and although small the rooms are clean and well maintained.
Good hotel and location for the price compared to other hotels in the city. Complimentary breakfast was lovely in neighbouring coffee shop, excellent coffee and great staff ☺️
Rooms are small but it's what you paid for. The staff is friendly we encountered were friendly and was very helpful. Definitely recommended if you are on a tight budget
There are not so many tv channels in the room, the hotel is clean.. staff is average, the hotel price is a lil bit high though.. i like the breakfast, you can choose about 5 kinds of bfast you want..
Location was good but the room had lot of dust dropped from the wall, and feedback to them, the hotel then changed a room for us.
Ok for the money, the rooms are small, though they have a nice rooftop pool, and friendly staff.
Nice hotel: Very friendly staff und rooms are clean. (Daily cleaning) Will come back! :-)
Great budget hotel very clean has a pool
Budget and nice location. Worth to stay. Have small gym room and even have pool for this kind of budget hotel. Worth spend
Room is clean, staffs are friendly but the room is a bit compact for family of 3.
Decent budget hotel in prime location. Clean compact rooms.
Hotel doesn't have mobile phone charging cable for guest to loan, otherwise would be perfect
Room a bit old, near MRT station and tourist spots, good for short stay.
The swimming pool is nice, price is okay but the room is not that good...
My daughter and I stayed here from 1 to 4 July 2024.. the room was small, but enough for the two of us.. the toilet was of course even smaller.. our room was ordered by my mother, apparently there wasn't a bidet... but there was a shower. took a shower directly in front of it..so we had a bath with a shower 😁 We ordered a room with breakfast, we were surprised that the breakfast was all delicious...from toast, nasi lemak, everything was delicious...next to the right there is also a 711 which is open 24 hours...very helpful there is 711..In the lobby there are umbrellas that we can borrow if it rains..even though the mini hotel has a swimming pool, you know..but towels are not available..you can just bring them from your room..At Fangko there are Indonesian employees who are super friendly..there are The male customer service guy wearing glasses is also cute and kind 😁
The staff is terrible, they didn't even respond to greetings. Wifi terrible, slow and often not working. The room is really very small, only one can stand at a time if you have suitcases in the room. The shower is practically above the toilet. There isn't even a hand towel, just one large shower towel per person. The gym consists of 1 treadmill and 1 exercise bike in a tiny room. The pool is nice, but there are no deckchairs but only a few chairs. Convenient location for visiting the city
I stayed 3 nights in a standard room on the top floor. The room is small, but well organized and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small and the entire bathroom is used for showering, but with a little organization you can do everything. I recommend it for the central location and the value for money, considering Singapore standards, is excellent. It has a small gym (1 room with two treadmills) and a very nice rooftop pool available to hotel guests. Cleaning ok.
Everything is expensive in Singapore, including this hotel. Very small room but well maintained and in a prime location. Actually a good choice for Singapore
Cozy, small hotel. The location is good. The breakfasts were very good.
Small room with shower and WC 20 cm apart. The cleaning lady forgot to clean the room once. The building next to the hotel is under construction and the noise starts around 8:30 a.m. and ends around 6 p.m. The 3 positive points: top location, swimming pool, and fair price
Nice location, very friendly and helpful staff. Room doesn't have a purpose built shower or other mod cons you might expect, however for its price, it serves are a perfect location if you want a no thrills room just to rest for the night so you can go explore the wonders of Singapore. It's also about 5 mins walk from Clark Quay mrt station, so provides quick and easy access to the rest of Singapore.
Excellent location, close to the Quays, a stone's throw from the main evening attractions. Small hotel but has a rooftop pool. The only negative note is the bathroom, like the one on a boat: without a tray or shower cabin, basically everything is always wet. There are no hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom or bedroom.
efficient hotel, clean, room not huge but enough, functional bathroom. the welcome is perfect, swimming pool on the roof is magical at night. breakfast in a small adjacent restaurant. if we return to Singapore, we will choose this hotel | the location is ideal for visiting the city, close to metro, china town, clark quay, shopping center...
