Reviews of New Cape Inn
Don't go to this place and expect luxury. The report between quality and price is really good compared to other hotels in SG. So if you're on a budget and don't want to share your room with strangers this is the place to go.
Good place to stay with family, room is very spacious and comfortable with price they are offered. But shall consider to change seat cushion it seem old. Probably some interior decoration for room can make more comfy.
Thanks for helpful staff we are get a free upgrade for our rooms.
Really old, tired building. Carpets worn down to the underlay and covered in stains. Just grubby. The day time and evening reception staff were nice and helpful but the night time receptionist clearly thinks his job is to sit and do nothing, maybe play on his mobile phone. His attitude stank. There are electrical problems here so the fire alarms kept going off in the small hours of the day.
On the plus side...
Excellent free wi-fi, comfy beds, great bathroom/showers with good water pressure and the air con was spot on. It was very reasonably priced and close to a good hawker (food stall) centre and lots of restaurants and small boutique shops. I'd actually stay there again quite happily.
superb.. great hotel at reasonable price.. rooms are clean, tidy, and.. spacious 👍👍👍
warm and kind staffs..
easy to reach from MRT, bus station..
foods and market only 3 minutes walk..
Had a great experience here. Seamless checking in and out. Only a step away from bus shelters, MRT station (Havelock), and food. Typical nuances around the hotel were not so busy and crowded. A very convenient place for my 3-night stay.
On our first day here, we were pretty horrified by the amount of dirt/hairs on the pillows, beds, toilet and carpet. There were stains on the drawers and the both the locks for the main door and toilet did not work. The do not disturb button was also not followed by the staffers as they rang every morning despite it. The plus point was that it felt old-fashioned homely and some receptionist were nice. The furnitures were all very worn. Our main concern was the cleanliness was way below standard and definitely not SG clean. Other than the very unclean place, there's also a very smelly odor and we were all bitten by bed bugs and felt itchy. The location was great, close to tiong bahru market filled with delicious food especially the lor mee!
An okay place to stay. Nothing fancy by any means, but served myself and my friends nicely. Walking distance to Havelock MRT stop as well as walking distance to numerous cafes, restaurants and a food center. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions.
The elderly with me said the female receptionist didn't like us, that's why she gave us a lousy room, furthest away from the lift, didn't have any bedside tables at all and it looks smaller than other rooms. Very different from what's shown in the pics and from others" reviews! Mayb u can get betta service if u're young handsome guys, LOL. Poor elderly had a hard time walking all the way to the lift and nopes, no late check out for us at all. Poor us! The lack of bedside tables was really troublesome. I dont need to go into detail abt the cleanliness of the carpet and the chair and the non working bidet. We're not fussy by any means, tats why we know what we paid for and we didn't bother to ask for a change of room, in case she gives us a worse one, LOL 😆 Just make sure the receptionist likes u if u want a good room, gd luck staying there!
Good & comfortable hotel for short stay.. Lots of food & shopping amenities within 1km radius. For locals with car will be a problem, carpark charge rate is extremely high & no free parking. Even for guest staying, there are no subsidised parking rate.
Not expensive normal hotel, the room is ok
The bed, the room and the bathroom are very clean. The reception is helpful. This hotel is little bit far from MRT station (about 1km) but so near with bus stop (about 3 bus stop). This hotel also very near with Tiong Bahru Market, the market where you can find cheaper food in Singapore
Check in at 7pm. Interior is quite old. Went with a girl. Not very impressive by the design. Carpet is very dirty with no slippers. Overall stay is ok. Will not be booking again.
Fantastic team as always. Fond memories of the team members who are always greeting us with a smile and are happy to accommodate to our requests. We will miss you all
The hotel is old and my room happened to be kinda dirty (toilet and glasses was not clean) and the cleaning service is just anyhow clean up the room. The trash wasn't take out and didn't even wipe the table. Nonetheless location is great.
Me and my family are here for a vacation it's honestly a good hotel/inn it has good service + near a bus stop and MRT but I got my toe cut a bit on a chair but still a good hotel/inn!
It was last min i chose this hotel. The indian guy who was at the reception was friendly. The room was big and i loved it. But if the room was cleaner, it would be definitely a hidden gem in tiong bahru.
Nice to stay here convenient buy food at hawker centre.
Wasn’t expecting too much, just wanted a comfortable place to stay for my family. Was convenient for transportation and food. Will I stay here again? I might consider.
Near Tiong Bahru market which sell quality and affordable food.Hotel price is good and room is quite big compare to other hotel in Singapore. However cleanliness need improvement as you can find some of dirt or crumb around the edges of your room
Place bit far from normal crowded place. So quite. But for that quite far from public transportation.
Near tiong bahru market. So easy place to find value food
Old but spacsious hotel but aomehow my aircon not cold at all.
A good budget hotel. Convenient location with lots of food houses nearby. Price reasonable for its value. And bed was comfy!
dull and dark room tv is small toiletries are few
Small rooms. Walls it stained and damp. Very good linen and upholstery. Professional staff. Very good furniture toilet etc. Worth revisiting.
A very nice decent hotel, near by a lot of eateries.
Convenient stay! Close to amenities!
Stayed in room for 3 (double bed + single bed), pretty big room, cleanliness is fair, not far from bus stop, pretty cheap, have windows in my room.
An "Ok" place to stay with its space & closeness to Tiong Bahru Market however service & cleanliness needs improvement.
Nice little inn close to Tiong Baru market. It is old building but rooms are spacious and clean and value for the money.
the hotel is clean with sufficient facilities. Recommend for long term stay
Location is good and clean
Very nice hotel not so strict it comes to guest and clean room
Clean rooms, good view from the window, place is located near the chinatown 15 minutes , 10-15 minutes walk to metro

Value for money ❣️ near by China town ❣️ a lot of good restaurants nearby
Room size is spacious, surrounded lots nice local food.
Basic hotel. Near to tiong bahru market. Can walk there for local food
spacious room . good AC and TV channels . the short hair tiny receptionist very friendly
Cheap and affordable basic budget hotel with walking distance to tiong bahru food court
Nice spacious hotel rooms, centrally located, nearby food.
A little ex but definitely worth it. Very well maintained and spacious.
Location is not near mall/mrt, but have a nice room and lobby
It is budget hotel and we are satisfied
Great budget hotel but cleanliness and maintenance need to be addressed.

Good hotel
Honest review, a bit surprised when I arrived at the room, the condition of the room was a bit dirty, messy, and the pillows were yellow, the shower didn't work
The three of us, already paid for 3 nights, in the end you only sleep one night, the next day we check out
Yes, for applications that work together, please see whether the hotel is suitable for that price or not, whether it is worth collaborating with, etc
It's near Tiong Bahru, so it's not a bad place to go to restaurants or the center, but it's not far enough to walk, so you have to use public transportation or Grab. If you are going to use public transportation anyway, it is better to stay somewhere neater, even if it is far away. It's not bad for the price, but if you're a traveler who cares a lot about cleanliness, you need to think about it.
New Cape Inn is actually a nice hotel. It's just that maybe because it's old it gives a bad impression... the service is ok... the rooms are big too. Commitment to also clean the room every 2 days. The atmosphere is quiet because it's on the edge of China Town...
The room I stayed in was clean, there were no animals.
OK, if you're staying on a low budget
Suitable for beginner tourists visiting Singapore like me, close and affordable bus stop access to various places, close to the canteen, easy dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, receptionist who can speak various languages
From traveling to Singapore for the second time The first time, staying in Chinatown was not very satisfying. There are a lot of people, crowded, chaotic, not okay, but I really like this hotel.|| Even though the hotel is not next to the BTS, it is next to the bus stop. Seriously, taking the bus is more convenient than the electric train. No need to walk up and down underground. Tired and tired? Want to go somewhere? Just find the bus line from the map. When you get on, tap the EZlink card on the front of the bus once and tap it once when you get off. || The hotel room is clean, very new. The bathroom has a shower. The water is strong and satisfying, but the only disadvantage is that there is no breakfast. But you can go eat at the food center nearby. Walk for a minute and you'll arrive. Very convenient||Recommend this hotel If the price is not expensive compared to other places, reserve now.
In Japan, it's a normal business hotel. However, the quality of service is minimal. Even if there are places that aren't kept well-cleaned or machines that are out of order, you'll be treated with kindness. It's about a 15 minute walk from the station, but there are bus stops nearby so I don't think there will be any problems with access.
I got it because it was Tiong Bahru, but the bakery was so-so, and the hawker center was good. I recommend searching more for accommodations. I stayed for 2 nights for 3 adults and 1 child, and all I got was 2 shower towels, and when I asked for more, the keeper said he could give it to me the next morning; Hair dryer broken, safety door handle broken, sheet blanket cover, etc. Wow, it was in the cabinet. Looking at the pillow cotton...ah...really...ha...if you look at the carpet on the room floor, you'll never be able to walk on it barefoot.
I stayed last May. I reserved a triple room. The room was clean, the staff were good, I could leave things here. If I have a chance to go here, definitely go on a bus or MRT train. Convenient, close to Outram Park. Traveling to the USS to China Town is convenient. a lot
Room ok and wifi working well enough in the room, in the hall perfect.||The location is quiet and safe but without public transport it's difficult to get around!||Small flaw, even though I asked them to redo the room for us, they didn't provide the service.||Overall it was pleasant.
Clean and convenient accommodation. There is a market nearby where you can eat, 7-11, and the bus station. It’s a good place to stay.
I stayed for a few hours in a hotel not clean, quite dirty, really not great, this could be considered a transit but not for a long stay and quite expensive, room with 3 beds at 85 euros too expensive around 100 euros you could get a 4 star
