Reviews of Oxford Hotel
the singaporean lady receptionist is not nice at all, she works for customer service but offers no help at all for the hotel guests. All the other receptionist are very helpful n welcoming except for her.
Staff was fast and friendly, I simply showed them my ID and I had my room within 5mins.
A tiny room with really standard basic hotel set up. But this hotel being one of my favorite hotel in Singapore since my firs time staying there. We just walking 2 minutes to bus stopped or MRT station, 2 minutes to any church’s. Only 10 minutes walking to Bugis tourist shopping and food area. There’re some Hindu temples,Buddha temples, Tao Temples, and even mosque’s. A central delicious food area, food streets. Really so interesting and highly recommended. All of staffs i had meet really so nice.
Very bad experience... Room wasnt clean, scared by cockroach, no fridge, no toothbrush. Tho staffs there were quite friendly but not a comfortable stay
Apart from being close to the metro station for some easy commute to the nearby touristy spots. This place lacks the cleanliness and proper ventilation.
The room I received was similar to a matchbox. Within 4 steps the entire room is done. Not enough room to wander or let loose.
Lovely value for money hotel, located in the Center of the city with friendly staff.
Keep expectation based on the money paid as Singapore is expensive city, I can imagine to stay again
Reception staff are ok. Good location. I did not stay here so i can't comment about the rooms. I was here at the lobby to meet a visitor from Australia.
Room rate seems ok. Reception and parking area are well maintained and neat. The hotel surroundings are neat and clean
We opt for a small room for 3 persons. The room was clean but not its carpet (the whole room was carpeted), but the location of the hotel was really good. We went to Singapore for Eason's concert so a hotel near MRT to the stadium is the best choice
My partner and I had an amazing experience in this budget-friendly hotel.
We really loved that the hotel is located midpoint of Chinatown and Little India, and just a few minutes walk to the nearest MRT station (Bras Basah), Catholic Churches, Bugis+ Mall, 7eleven, and McDonald's.
Despite being not as prestigious as that of a five-star hotel, our room is still homey with enough space for moving and putting our things, with lots of available storage. We also have our own mini fridge, hair dryer at the bathroom, and TV.
The hotel also has its own restaurant and vending machine which is so cool and convenient.
Reminder for those interested to check-in that the hotel does not provide toothbrushes and toothpastes so you may bring your own or buy outside.
I also recommend bringing of a Singapore outlet-compatible adaptor and at least one electrical extension. Outlets for our room (standard double) are only enough for the appliances (not sure for other rooms though).
Thank you to the hotel staff for their service! 🙂
A price-reasonable hotel. However, the room space is relatively small and the facilities are downgrade somehow.
Location: easy to move to public transport system, especially bus
in Jan, 2023, I stayed for 2 nights @ Budget Oxford because it was very convenient location.||After changing rooms twice because the Aircon was making a lot of noise, the Receptionist disregarded my request to send in a mechanic to repair & solve the problem. I tried to explain that if the problem of one sleepless night was not solved, the next guest will also suffer the same problem. But my complaint fell on deaf ears.||Another second sleepless night . ||Unless you are immune to sleepless night dont stay @ this hotel !!!!!
The location is great but the room is just ok.
They have weaknesses in Wi-Fi, cold showers, and noisy equipment.
good & convenient location to use MRT. I'm there just to sleep after my seminar on others place.
A bit worn out, but cheaper than better options and in good position
It's an old vintage room style , shower water has some weird and not nice smell and like everyone said there's you can find insect in your room. Otherwise it's fine it's near bras basa mrt. And you can go bugis if you go North from hotel. Otherwise it's an ok hotel
always booked this hotel for my colleagues when we have an exhibition in SG.clean and great location
went there and was unaware there was an ongoing reno, phone line to the room was affected and had someone knocking at 10am asking loudly "your phone not working ah?" so we took that as a sign for our check out and checked out an hour earlier. also we realised that no toothbrushes were provided. my partner and i went across to check in, unshowered with stinky teeth haha.
it's not all bad, my previous stays there was great. just do be more aware of ongoing renos when booking.
Had leak in the bathroom ceiling. Location is great
No food option in the hotel. Rooms are just fine for a single person
Rooms was small for two adults and one kid. If you plan for sightseein but no shopping is ok room or else you need to stack up your shooping stuff. Location just nice

Location super check or perhaps all locations is within reach when in SG. Thanks to its network of trains and buses all you need is a brisk walk to take you to your next destination.
Nice hotel location, surround by Sin young comunities center. Near to MRT Bras basah and Bencoolen. Near to food court, near to Bugis area
Affordable. Located just a few minutes walk to 7 eleven, bugis, and Bras Basah station. The downside with this hotel is that they offer the same breakfast everyday and a bit smelly carpet
Nice place to stay in central area of the Singapore where you have easy access to the transportation services and most of the popular attractions. You can find cheep rooms from here and you will not get disappointing to the service you get for the money you pay.
Well.. Room's were a little congested...but overall..I liked the hotel because of their fast and courteous service...along with well maintanence of the Room's...if on a budget...I would recommend this place...
The smell of the lobby and room is quite unbearable. Very near to Bras Basah Mrt around 200m and Bencoolen Mrt around 7 min walk.
Hotel staff is very good and kind but the hotel wifi is so poor. u can't get it in u r room. It takes so much time for me just to upload my insta feed!..........
No necessary equipment and no convenience store at all. There are no restaurant around. Come here just to sleep and don't go anywhere
Room was so small n expensive.old furniture, and there is cockroaches.the only good is, this hotel is 5min walk to bras basah MRT station..
Soso, good location. Just the matter that the room is not properly clean. Can stay
Convenient residence in central part of Singapore, closed to MRT station(3 minutes walk).
Room looks old but the hotel has good location
Old But Quite Comfy and Somehow Feel Hommie.
Just here for dinner.
Unfortunately no coffe and no tissue
Over all is good
Receptionists are so humble. Worth it.
Cool
Nice
The location is quiet, but convenient as there are 2 subway stations available. This hotel has a nostalgic feel. It's not glittering, but you can stay there normally. I get the impression that the cleaning is done properly. The air conditioner works well too. The rooms are sufficient for overnight stay. The room I stayed in did not have a refrigerator, the shower was small, there was no hose shower in the toilet, there was no toothbrush, the safety box was not working properly, the TV was small, the Wifi sometimes cut out, and there were no outlets by the bed. There are some small improvements that could be made.
Stayed here for 5 nights. One of the most budget hotels in Bugis with slightly spacious rooms, unfortunately it smells stuffy and sometimes encounters cockroaches. This is quite remedied by the receptionist and management who are friendly and responsive in moving rooms when they encounter cockroaches
The room does not have a refrigerator or drinking water.
First of all, the advantage is that it's in an area that's convenient to go anywhere, and it's reasonably priced. I stayed for three consecutive nights, and the cleaning was very thorough.
The disadvantages are that it is an old building so there are insects, and there is no air conditioner. I was a little concerned that the operating sound was making a "buzzing" sound throughout the day. Not having a refrigerator in the room might be a bit of a pain 😂
It is recommended if you are mainly sightseeing and want to keep your budget low, but only go back to the hotel to sleep.
This is not recommended for those who want to relax in a hotel or those who are sensitive to the environment.
By the way, there was a bug in the room I was originally assigned, so I called the front desk and was able to change the room. There are many reviews that say there are insects, but the owner is kind and gives me the impression that if I express my opinion properly, they will take care of it.
The hotel is in a top location and everything is close by. Because of the low price, you will definitely have to make compromises. The hotel is very old. Carpet stains and mold in the bathroom etc. Due to the tropical weather, moisture is definitely a problem. But the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Very polite and well-groomed. Therefore only 4 stars unfortunately.
It is very close to the MRT. There are 3 MRT stations nearby. It is very close to Bugis and Albert Food Center. It is convenient for shopping, eating and going to the airport. The house price is cheap. The sockets are universal sockets. The room is large and clean, and can be spread out for 5 people. suitcase. However, the internal facilities are a little lacking. The toilet door cannot be locked. There is only one room card. There is no refrigerator, no drinking water or water dispenser. The bathroom drainage is not good.
The room is not very spacious. However, the facilities are quite complete. There is hot water, toiletries, towels, mineral water, tea coffee sugar. Clean rooms, clean toilets too. The lobby is not spacious but is quite comfortable & clean. There is a beautiful vintage corner for a photo spot.
Not congratulating me because I paid for it myself.
The water is strong, there are no towels to prevent feet from getting wet.
There is no drinking water provided. There are no windows. Bed 203.
There's no refrigerator, so there's a home-style thermos that you can use to find ice yourself.
There is soap and shampoo provided, no toothbrushes.
Please check in early. Uncle will do it for you.
For 1 night, over two thousand.
cc2 station
Where to eat under the Lazada building
The 24” TV is not clear, or there are a lot of lines.
There's free wifi. You'll have to write it down yourself.
Good staff, good service
(((And if people like it, come try it, but only one time)))
Bencoolen was full so I moved here instead. Ah Song ☺️
