Reviews of Rendezvous Hotel Singapore
Checked-in to this hotel for a 3-day 2 nights stay.
It had been a very comfortable stay! Room is big, with all the necessary amenities. Love the shower. Only thing is the TV is not functioning, but we had no time for that.
Location wise is excellent! Walking distance to the famous Fort Canning Tunnel, and also to Plaza Singapura. Easily accessible by Bus and MRT station.
In fact, there’s a nearby bus stop direct to Vivocity / Harbour Front.
Kudos to the management for the well-maintained room! Will definitely recommend to friends for their stay in Singapore!
Nice location, less than 5 min walk to public transportation, food court in front of it. Great pool & hot tub. Spacious room, delicious breakfast & dinner.
Great hotel. Stayed here for 6 days for work and the hotel’s staff is great! Everyone is helpful and friendly. Big shout out to all the lounge staff and also Sofi for making me feel so welcomed at all times. Thank you!
Easy to get to on a stop over. Friendly and helpful staff. The room has everything you need for a stopover. The room was clean. 7-Eleven is conveniently located next to the entrance for supplies.
Very good location for the bus, close to attractions but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Rooms need updating, bathrooms very good, great shower. Very handy having 7/11 shop right next door plus some good food restaurants. Would stay again.
This hidden gem is located in the heart of Singapore, hidden between the splendid architectures of orchard. It is located near SIM and SOTA, also being a stones throw away from GRID. The tranquillity of the hotel is the complete opposite of the hustling and bustling orchard road. The picture-perfect landscape of the hotel's lobby resembles an eye looking into the sky, like the visionary sight into the future. The smart and delicate glass work allows maximum natural sunlight to illuminate the lobby, casting a sense of warm ambience.
The hotel staffs are polite and friendly and the hotel has clean and spacious rooms. It is very convenient as it is a stones throw away from many mrt lines and malls
Situated centrally, the hotel offers a comfortable stay. Very close to a lot of restaurants, you can explore many food joints. There is a next door Seven Eleven store which makes availability of other utility items easy. Also, there is an MRT station next door making it connected to most places. You can easily use Visa card tap and go for buses and metro to reach tourist spots like Singapore Merlion, Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay etc. The hotel is well designed and located making it one of the best options if you are visiting Singapore for the first time.
Located in the middle of dhoby ghaut and bugis. Surrounding has lots of night life and variety of food available. Walking distance to both shopping areas and mrt station, 5 to 10 min walk. Room itself is pretty spacious. Thou has some sign of aging but so far so good. Nice room and layout. New account manager Desmond is professional and nice too. Breakfast area and spread not very wide but good enough for a decent breakfast.
Visited bar only. Received top-notch, super professional service by staff who take pride in the execution of their work. Truly, this is THE bar if you want to quietly relax in a classy/modern atmosphere. Again, this is a first-class lounge to enjoy your favorite cocktail.
Rooms at the hotel are the same as mentioned on any booking platform. The only thing missing is the bidet in the toilets of the normal rooms, like deluxe and twin rooms. Perhaps that’s just how most of the Singapore hotels are. Just one other thing is that this hotel does not have mineral water in the rooms. Other than those two issues, the hotel is superb.
My family had a great stay at Rendezvous.
The staffs are very friendly. When we first arrived they support in carrying the luggages and also guided me and my little baby to go seat at the bar while my husband could process with check-in. They also have little gift for baby, including crayons and some coloring pictures, stickers, it is very cute and my baby loved it.
Lobby and ground floor bar look like an art gallery with some beautiful pictures displayed and beautiful statues made from ceramic bowls.
The room is very cosy and spacious, in comparison with some hotels at the same price range that we have stayed in previous trip. It is also fully equipped with wardrobe, working table, etc.
The location is very convenient, it takes around 2 minutes to arrives at Bencoolen MRT, 10 minutes walk to orchard road, and you can easily access to the local area at bugis market, shopping center at bugis easily. Next to the hotel is convenient store 711 and some food stalls, perfect for a quick energy charging if you just arrive.
Next time, Rendezvous will be my choice if I come back to Singapore again
The hotel staff is nice, polite and helpful. The location of this hotel is really good, where is next to two different lines MRT stations. There are different restaurants and convenience store next to the hotel. There is a bar next to the hotel with live band. However, the hotel is a little bit old, the cleanness can also be improved. No bottle water will be provided. Only one distilled water machine is located on 3/F. The check-in and check-out process is fast. The restaurant is under maintenance at this moment. I will recommend this hotel for a business trip with limited budget.
It was a long tiring few months and we were looking forward to our staycay...!! Were pleasantly surprised by the reception extended - the warm greetings from Front Desk (esp their Duty Manager - Mr Manu) and their long serving Concierge, as they were quick to remember us as returning guests, despite our last stay being a few years back before the hotel underwent renovations! The room - following the reno - was fabulous and comfortable !! The fridge (gratis) and room amenities were well stocked and they were replenished daily. Hotel staff were helpful, pleasant and generally approachable and keen. Our stay was restful and we took the opportunity of the hotel discreet, high privacy to recharge.Above all the entire hotel setting was quiet, peaceful and calm despite its busy central city location and the hotel high occupancy. We came to relax, have our space and enjoy ourselves - the hotel and its staff delivered !!Breakfast at the new REVERIE cafe was most delightful with a nice spread of typical western & eastern breakfast. A good range of cold cuts and salads, western and local hot foods, nice variety of bread/pastries and free flow of juices, yoghurt and hot beverages...was one we enjoyed every morning. The restaurant staff were attentive and quick to clear our used cutleries & used plates - every time !!We will be back 😄😄😄
Singaporean service at its best! The staff were generous with their time, knowledgable and extremely helpful. My room was sparkling clean and very comfortable. The pool provided a delightful escape from the heat of the day. The location was an easy walk to Raffles and loads of other great places to eat and drink. All in all, a great experience!
This is a historical building and needs updating in some respects (musty carpet smell in hallway) but it is in a great location for public transport and the staff is always helpful, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance workers.
Nice hotel, big room & big shower, clean, quite, great location with metro station right the corner (2min) and 7eleven in the building. We spent there 5 beautiful days. Recommended!Would be even better to have bathrobes ;)
2nd time staying here again and the service and room is still as good as before. Club lounge offers decent selection of food and drinks. Will definitely return again.
Room wasn't as great as the previous stay. No more Nespresso Coffee Machine, TWG teabags and complimentary drinks. However, I still enjoyed the stay.
I came to Singapore to attend the Coldplay concert. The hotel is situated right on top of the Bencoolen downtown MRT line and less than a minute away from the Bras Basah circle line. Took only 4 stops to get to National Stadium and it was godsend to be able to get back to the hotel directly after the concert. Being on top of the MRT line was great as I was able to avoid the downpour /storm as well as i hopped between Singapura Plaza and China Town Pointe to meet friends, both malls connected to the MRT subway and only about 2 stops away. Theres a food court across the road, and 3 bus stops down is Bugis Junction. Rooms are larger than the average hotels in the same area. Would absolutely stay here again
Was a great Stay, Maybelle at reception was very helpful and made our stay comfortable.
This was the final hotel (out of 3) that I stayed at during my visit in Singapore.
As with the other 2 Singapore hotels, I spent hours researching hotels in this area and recruited my father to help me. I was trying to stay close to City Centre as well as the airport...but it was close to the airport.
I selected this hotel for the gorgeous pool and the view. I already spent a good 4-5 days hard-core touring, so I wanted to mostly just stay local. There was a food court near by as well. The lobby was just breathtaking with the unique lighting and decor. There is a bar/lounge area called The Library, but I didn't hang out there. There is a small gym that overlooks the pool with basic equipment, so I was able to get a quick workout in before going to the pool.
The plan was to walk to the nearest metro and ride to the airport... but unfortunately, I had such a great time and came back exhausted and I overslept and missed my flight, OOPS. The front desk staff let me use their phone to call home and they called a taxi for me to get to the airport. The hotel is close to Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios Singapore, Raffles City and many other landmarks (these are just the ones I visited).
I spent 2 nights here...and decided to go all out for my last 2 nights. I booked a Superior Room, with a King bed, $148.14/night. It was absolutely worth the price. There was plenty of space in this room to store my large suit case and carry on (I mostly live out of my suitcase and keep everything packed when I left the room). The bathroom was small but clean. There was a shower door, but water still leaked outside the shower, so be careful not to slip...or bring slippers.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to splurge on a spacious hotel stay...definitely plan on hanging out at the pool!!!
Great place to visit. Ideally situated at the bottom of orchard Road, where all the shopping malls are located. Also next to the entrance of a MRT station, so no getting wet in the rainy season.
Warmly welcome by hotel manager douglas & senior guest service executive andrew, whom were quick and efficient in fulfilling my needs for the stay. All of the staff were very friendly and extending that extra mile in helping guest with their needs. Douglas was very friendly and sincere in giving his fullest in helping me throughout my stay. He is indeed a role model to his fellow junior members and can lead by example.
A good hotel in a very central location. Just 2 mins walk from one MRT station and about 15 mins walk from a second (on a different line). Good breakfast selection as well..
Room is very cleaned. Air conditioner is very cold. Location is easy to access and nearly MRT , Bus stop. In front hotel have 7-11 open 24 hr.
Brilliant hotel good sized room, very helpful staff ,really went out of there way to help.
Good location on the downtown MRT with connections to airport ..great pick
Would like to highlight the reception guy by the name Ethan, provided very good service during check in.👍 Overall, it's a pleasant stay, except the super smelly toilet bowl even after the housekeeping clean again.🤢🤢
Fantastic hotel.Rooms are huge. Toilets spacious.Train station are stone throw away.Singapura Plaza nearby. You won't get hungry for sure.Rooms are clean too.
One of the best value for money hotel in prime location. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended.
This is a great hotel with great location. Just outside the hotel you can go everywhere by trian Bencoolen and bus station. Other this you can see 24 hr. 7-11 shop. Really convenien.
My booking is without breakfast but was being upgraded by giving me complimentary breakfast for 2 days, which is awesome.
Even though breakfast choice is not much but they are more than enough for me and my daughter.
The room is cozy and considered very spacious in Singapore, the bed is very comfortable. Only 1 thing which is the aircon is too cold no matter how we adjust the temperature, even I had turned off the aircon for the whole night, is still very cool in the room and I wonder why?
The location is very convenient with Beecoolen mrt station just next to the hotel only.
7-11, cafes and restaurants within the building's ground floor and also within walking distance to many shops or shopping malls.
All staffs are very friendly and polite, this is exactly how it should be in the service sector. Keep it up and I will be back again next time when I'm in Singapore.
The location of the hotel is best , easy to access to delicious local food, attractions and the mrt station to airport is just few minutes walk!
My family and I were there on a staycation and we booked a junior suite for a night. We were offered a premium suite for $30 more than we paid for and late check-out at 6pm. We loved that we can have free access to the club lounge all day and complimentary breakfast and of course a huge space for my boys and my hubby and I to enjoy in the hotel room. The service from the staff was fantastic and prompt. For the price that we paid, we couldn't ask for more. We wished that we could extend our stay.
Centrally located. Lots of food outlets with wide variety near the hotel. The hotel is little old but well maintained . Very clean rooms, bathrooms and the breakfast buffet is fantastic with a wide variety of western and oriental food including fruits served every morning. Stayed 3 days and enjoyed it . The boogi market for fancy shopping is just 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Nice room, huge and spacious.Perfect for stay. Hotel staff were attentive.Location was near MRT and shopping malls
Very comfortable hotel. It has the type of rooms that support a good night's sleep. Some facilities a little tired looking. Pool area etc.
The location is central which makes visiting easy. The ballroom is a little small with over 20 tables with a small stage. Service do not expect typical hotel service as I felt that the waiter do not pay much attention to raising of hands and are stingy on wines pouring..
Overall good service, friendly and helpful staff and generally clean. Bathroom could be cleaned better also in the little corners. Some plates in bathroom were slightly broken. Towels obviously not the newest ones. Rooms rather older. Room charge could be questionable for what you get. Breakfast rather Asian style. Little difficult dir European guests.
Very good location. Subway line goes through same block. Good WiFi. Looking the size of hotel I thought the breakfast area would be spacious, but it is this mid-sized cafeteria.
Brilliant hotel, was given an upgrade by Logeswary Jaganathan which was very welcome after a 12 hr flight and arriving quite late.
Fairly good location, the rooms are somewhat small, but well appointed and modern. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed. The staff are friendly. The Rendezvous club is ok, but the breakfast food is often left to go cold.
This is a decent hotel in a strategic corner of Bencolen Rd. Close to the metro and most of all, right next to a Food Republic where you can basically choose what you feel like eating. The National Museum is walking distance and within a few minutes of walk, you’ll hit the very famous Orchard Road shopping district. The hotel is a little bit old but is definitely clean and welcoming.
The reception staff and concierges were helpful and kind. They managed to find me a room even though I was very early, so I had time for extra sightseeing on a very short trip. The room was spacious and clean with a good shower.
The hotel is a lovely building in an interesting area and just a short stroll away from the Singapore National Museum. There is easy access to the subway system and lots of buses stop right outside the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was small but the food I tried was good.
I spent the last afternoon having coffee in the bar and a swim in a well shaded pool before getting an evening flight. This is a place I would happily book in the future.
The service staff was very efficient, i would say too efficient, that my just made tea was cleared away and i have to make a new one, when the old one is wasted away. The service staffs in function rooms are not friendly either. The function room cleanliness are excellent. The buffett was okay, it's not bad but it is not excellent either. Overall experience was okay for me. Location is quite close and central from dhoby gaut MRT. I love that the reception are use piano instrumental music.
Decor starting to look a bit worn and dated. Rooms are good but the walls are thin so you can hear the TV next door. Great breakfast buffet selection.
Conveniently located outside Bencoolen station, the club lounge came with great food and a variety of beverages. The room may be small, but cozy. The makeshift bed added fitted well into the room with space to move around. There are a variety of TV channels available on their HD TV. The mini bar in the room came free. Lots of activities available in the vicinity, like karaoke and movies. Supper spots also available nearby. Service from the club floors were magnificent, however the service in the straits Cafe was terrible. 80% of the food from the breakfast at the straits Cafe tasted like horrible leftovers and stale.
Memories of my bygone pre covid era of this place brings back nostalgia.
The foyer and the bar are very appealing with the modern design. The hotel rooms look great and there's easy access to bars and restaurants around too, but me and my friend got a serious allergy in here.
Location was great. Love teo heng there, always got an available room to sing your lungs out. But the toilets were gross and dirty. Someone puked all over and nobody bothered to clean up.
Nice room and nice services, perfect location, wish had more choices in breakfast selection
It's a nice place to stay for both business purpose or even short staycation. Especially if you can stay in a club room, where you have additional benefit such as free mini bar and complimentary refreshment in the lounge throughout the day.
Attended a wedding banquet. Service was average, just kind of disappointed that they did not refill our drinks before a yamseng, which made me needed to use my relatives extra drink instead. Upon having my dinner, something crawled up to my leg which to my surprise, a cockroach. I shooked it off my leg and crushed it. A hotel should be clean and such dirty insect shouldn't be inside the ballroom at any reason. Would love if the banquet team would make the ballroom a cleaner environment for other future diners and banquet attendees to enjoy, not to have insects crawling up people's legs and giving a bad impression to the customers.
Perfect choice for who need full time services. Facilities and amenities are excellent. The hotel near Bencoolen MRT Station, Bus Station, and food corner as well. Strategic location if you like Singapore downtown feeling. The staff also nice and professional.
Early check in available for premium book. Very good reception at the hotel during check in. Very good room with all facilities. Mobile handset (Handy) provided in room to know about the tourist spots in Singapore. Very good location. Hotel is near to Merlion and little India.
Visited this area not for a stay here but went to one of its facilities. The lobby area is restricted mostly to hotel guests and it's significantly posher than its public area. Public area is filled with restaurants and bars on the first two storeys. There's also a cheap karaoke joint on the second floor if you're in the singing mood.
Very nice design hotel and very good location easy connect to mrt and distance walk to attractions
Big room, easy access, next to MRT, many food options nearby.
Location is convenient, short distance from Dhoby Ghaut station and with a bus stop serving it. Many F&B and entertainment establishments within at reasonable pricing
Although the hotel has a sense of history, the overall cleanliness is pretty good.
There is a convenience store downstairs of the hotel, and there are many shopping malls nearby. The most important thing is that the Dhoby Ghaut subway station is nearby. There are blue line and bus stops just outside the hotel. Convenient transportation is a major advantage of this hotel!
I think the room equipment is relatively average. All the necessary equipment is available. The hair dryer is an older style and requires a long press, which is inconvenient to use. In fact, the socket can be updated to USB which will be more convenient.
There is just enough space for two suitcases, which is a bit cramped for a King size bed.
Breakfast is on the first floor. There are not many varieties but it is quite complete, including meat/salad/starch and coffee/juice.
Overall, I think it is worth recommending. In terms of CP value and convenience, this will be one of the hotels on my pocket list next time I come to Singapore!
...possible.|It is well located for visiting Little India. The subway exit is 30 seconds from the hotel and is accessible.|The reception is welcoming. The room, for 2 adults and a child, clean. The pool is the right size but the stairs make swimming difficult. Real gym.|The breakfast content is okay, but the breakfast room could be more inviting
The hotel was right above the station, so it was easy to go anywhere.
As soon as I entered the hotel, I was touched by the congratulatory cake and message.
Breakfast was a delicious buffet.
I was able to go almost anywhere I wanted to go within 30 minutes.
Elegant, welcoming, recommended, trained staff, super clean
Lack of bottled water for tourists
Super location. You can get anywhere in Singapore by public transport
For 3 days they did not bring tea/coffee, which are disposable. I just didn't like it very much. Cleaning too. The bed was made and that was it. No more cleaning
The facilities are at the level of a Korean motel.
Good service
Location is good
The room is very big. Good service staff Reserve a special room Breakfast is served and there is an early evening lounge with alcoholic beverages. The staff tried to understand our English communication even though we weren't very good at it. There are many views, including gardens and city views. Next to the MRT, walk 1 minute. Plus, on the opposite side is the Lazada building. As a result, there are a lot of restaurants nearby.
