My wife and I were really fortunate to know their ID and Project Manager Avion. He really has an eye for detail, he also emphasizes on quality and does not compromise the workmanship of the contractors. He worked according to our budget and it was really reasonable in comparison to some other companies we went to. We got the design we really wanted, that suited both our personalities. We were blessed with a wonderful experience. Will definitely find them again!

I appreciated that both Jeremy and Princeley from Fineline Design worked closely with me to achieve a reduced budget. They were very honest in their dealings from the start to completion and I found that it was very assuring. Also, they helped gave helpful pointers in terms of colour coordination for sofa/dining table to achieve the Japandi/Muji design theme and helped provide precise measurements for the items I purchased for good space planning. I also learnt from them that the lighting of a home is crucial and they recommended a very good lighting supplier. After completion, there were minor defects and both of them were very reliable, as they quickly arranged for the respective vendors to fix the vinyl flooring and linings in my carpentry. As a first time home owner, it can be quite puzzling and scary to embark on home decor/choosing the right fixtures according to one's own budget, so I am truly grateful that I met the both of them as they patiently guided me through the decision making process without being pushy. The end design product was exactly what I had in mind, and the result is a cozy and beautiful home that will last me for years to come. I would highly recommend both Jeremy and Princeley from Fineline Design! Five stars out of five from me!

Our ID, Jeremy, was fantastic from start to end. He was extremely proactive, providing great design suggestions and allowed us to build our dream home. His attention to detail and professionalism were outstanding. As with every ID journey, there were some hiccups along the way. But they were handled very professionally by him. Fineline is probably not on the cheaper side of options available in the market, but Jeremy’s quality service as an ID made the process significantly hassle free (especially with the amount of work we did for our resale flat). For Fineline’s services, the most outstanding service in my opinion was their carpentry (they have an in-house carpentry team). Their ability to deliver on time while not compromising on quality (in general), allowed us to move in within 4 months with no hiccups - as per our original renovation timeline. One area that is definitely an area for improvement was the quality of the paint job (but seems like this is a common issue amongst all IDs from speaking with friends). To those that need an ID, I would definitely recommend Jeremy and Fineline.

We had a positive experience with Min Yi who had the tough task of helping us with our renovation in the midst of COVID and CNY period. There were numerous sessions between us and Min Yi and through these sessions we were able to turn what we have in our heads into something real which we can see. Min Yi was extremely professional in helping us realise our ideas as much as possible and at the same time provide us with sound alternatives as and when required without compromising our expectations for our house. Her technical knowledge and her creativity has helped us find the best solutions for any problems we encounter along the way. After our initial consultation with Qi Zhe and a few other IDs, we decided to go ahead with Fineline given Qi Zhe's elaborate quotation and informative exchanges prior to signing with them. As it was our first home purchase, we were apprehensive about contracting with an ID firm however Qi Zhe never pressured us into signing and even encouraged us to explore our options, which provided alot of reassurance when making our final decisions. Throughout the renovation journey, Qi Zhe's meticulous attention to the details and thoughtful consideration of our requirements aligned with our expectations as we came to find ourselves thankful for following through with some of his advice and guidance. His creativity is evident in the way he works around our ideas and bridging the gap to solidify the concept or look we were going for. Despite our tight time crunch, he never requested for us to defer our timeline and provided alternative solutions that accommodated our routines. There was no cutting of corners and we absolutely love our first home! Thank you Qi Zhe for sparing the long hours to go through with us the fine details and clarifying our concerns. Engaged Russell from Fineline Design, and not only did we get an interior designer, but we also gained a friend! He played a crucial role in striking a fine balance between practicality and aesthetics while discussing the design for our home. Russell was always open to our ideas and changes, actively trying to incorporate them into the final design. Moreover, Russell demonstrated consciousness and awareness of our budget, providing advice on the feasibility of some of external third-party vendors me and my wife had in mind to save some costs for the renovation works. This flexibility is a significant advantage for an interior design firm, as being too rigid raises red flags about prioritizing money over the client – a common issue with many firms. The renovation process has been remarkably smooth, with Russell providing constant updates on the progress. He even expedited the process so we could move in before the hungry ghost festival, resuming work on minor renovations afterward. While the workmanship is generally excellent, there are some minor defects that Russell diligently helps minimize. Although we do understand perfection is challenging. He reassured us, saying, "If you encounter issues or have any problems during the renovation, don't worry. I'll get that resolved by any means." This commitment proved true. In conclusion, a big thanks to Russell for turning our dream home into a reality!

We engaged Fineline Design towards the end of 2021, and appointed Minyi as our Interior Designer. Over the course of the half a year or so, she had done her utmost best to work within our budgets to renovate our home. The designs are clean and uncluttered with attention being paid to functional use. Throughout the process there will no doubt be concerns and disagreements like all things in life, but Minyi had been professional to our requirements. It's been 1/2 a year after moving back home, and we are pleased with the end result of this renovation process. Thank you v much!

We first came across Fineline Design (ID: Chris) during a Qanvast Roadshow in Q4 2021. Out of the 4 IDs we met, Fineline Design proven themselves worthy on the basis that they: - understand our requirements - provided a reasonablely affordable quote - has prompt responses to our clarifications We were glad that we made this choice as even after mandating Fineline Design as our ID, their good service continue. As we are 1st time home owners, there were alot of decisions which we had to made which we were clueless about. Thankfully, Chris was able to provide us practical tips / guidance on our house design. He was also not pushy and gave us good alternatives to manage our budget constraints. Due to covid-19, there were delays in renovation completion but this was made up by Chris doing his best to schedule the respective contractors to their best availability. We didnt also have to take much time off to monitor/supervise the renovation as Chris was able to do so and he did a great job. Even after the renovation completion, when we encounter some minor issues, Chris remain as helpful as always We are thankful to have such a beautiful transformation thanks to Chris and Fineline Design. We will recommend them to all future homeowners who are looking for an honest, reliable and experienced ID!

My partner and I were renovating our first apartment, a small two-storey penthouse with some specific ideas about the layout of the bar and outdoors patio. My previous ID had abruptly quit at the conceptualisation stage without giving us any notice, and without handing us over to anyone else. I found Jeremy through a recommendation from a mutual friend who was extremely satisfied with his own project. On short notice, Jeremy patiently and informatively walked us through the steps required to get this done, and proposed a shorter timeline than I had initially expected. He helped us refine our design ideas for renovations and furnishing, and even managed to source quality products at a lower cost with an eye to our under-estimated budget. Throughout the renovation, Jeremy also went above and beyond to provide suggestions on furnishing, managed contractors, and made sure the required follow-up works (e.g. painting over spots, installation hiccups) post-inspection were carried out promptly. The only area for improvement I would suggest is to maintain a very keen eye for the inevitable painting imperfections that occur, prior to the homeowner's inspection. Overall, I am satisfied with Jeremy and Fineline's service and would recommend to my friends. I would note that the workmanship of the internal contractors are decent but the carpentry is quite limited in its ability to customise furniture and shelving, if you have specific requests that extend beyond the typical straight-line boxy look.

t was our 1st renovation experience with an ID and we were excited to transform our newly purchased 5room Hdb flat into our dream home. With our family of 5 and a furry little cat, we had to make sure we chose the right one. After running through and meeting up with several IDs we decided to choose Russell and Elaine from Fineline Design. Russell has a good listening ear and works towards what we want and needs as we shared our ideas and individual needs through the early stage. An eager individual which also helps us in deciding what would be more practical or do we prefer the asthetics of the ideas we had and its costings. Which we thought was his strength. His experience and knowledge had guided us well into the decisions we made. Elaine's fresh ideas and understanding of our mood board was one that we knew that we had put good trust in this duo team to build our dream home. As with all projects, little hiccups was bound to happen. There were few changes on our vision and needs, also small hiccups on our aircon installation services which we had engaged. But Russell ensured the project went well and delivered our unit on time even with quite a tight schedule (oct/nov 2022-before cny 2023). I must mention that i was very impressed that he even worked his way out from the planned schedule to help us save some costs from us putting our current house items in a storage warehouse. The in-house team of contractors were a professional and prompt bunch that worked real hard to achieve the dateline not leaving out quality finishes. Handing over and inspection was a breeze. Russell made sure any unsatisfactory requests from us was rectified almost immediately. Budgetwise, we did went slightly over our initial budget but that's mainly due to the changes that me and the wife wanted to add on along the way. Overall, Job well done and a Very big thank you to Russell and Elaine for transforming this project into our dream home. Turning ideas into reality. Keep up the good hustle Fineline Design :)

Thoughtful and non-judgmental. We met Russell at one of the Qanvast Hangouts last year. We met three IDs and Russell was the only one who made sure we are valued. It was a small home project but he was enthusiastic and ensured he got all the information required from us so that he could start planning it. Russell's professional opinion was very useful to us. As new homeowners, we weren't sure what we really wanted and how it will affect the small space we were going to live in. He knew our low budget and constantly finds the best for us. What we really appreciated was that we received our keys to our space very late and we were going to get married soon. We really wanted our space to be ready as soon as we are married. We are really grateful to Russell in ensuring the project ran smoothly and we have our new home the first moment we are done with our wedding. This requires a lot of adjustments on his end. He needed to liaise with a few vendors and finally, ensuring quality in this tight timeline. Also, this meant that he needed to do frequent visits to the site to ensure everything is done up well. After the renovation, if we needed his help, he obliged positively. He knows how important a first place is for a newly-wed couple and he will do his best to ensure that we are comfortable in our new space. Highly recommend Russell from Fineline Design!

He is not pushy and will try his best to churn things to our liking, making it better. Like any other home renovation, the journey isn’t always smooth. We renovated our bathrooms with Fineline and they were professional and patient and took all our inputs on both the design and execution. There were a couple of points we needed to rework after the work was done and they managed to also fix that up for us. Overall they did a good job, would be good for them to have more recommendations on the items we have to purchase ourselves (fitting etc), their partners in balestier had a limited suggestion and we had to research on our own.

We shortlisted a few IDs to renovate our new home. We were given an extension after selling our old place so time wasn't really on our side. Many IDs we saw were not confident of working in the desired timeline. We decided to go with Fineline Design after seeing how determined Xuan and Fevien worked on the proposed designs. Coupled with restrictions, the two of them worked tirelessly with us in the designing of our new home, especially the kitchen - which we totally revamped. All our queries were handled promptly. The workmanship of the tiling and carpentry is generally pretty good and we are pleased with the end results. Post-reno rectifications work was done up quickly.

From our first meet, she showed professionalism, shared understanding/ vision and creative ideas for our space. Jolene also has an assuring nature and updates us by sending videos and pictures of reno works when we were both busy and takes initiatives to suggest potential better looking finishes. Had a smooth reno journey with Fineline, taking into account expected timelines due to COVID restrictions. Our ID Jolene was on hand to provide advice and suggestions, communicating beyond office hours to address our queries, and providing alternatives and solutions to the design goals that we had. Fineline's workmen were thorough - I observed their attention to detail even on mundane jobs like painting. We appreciate the extra effort put into tile arrangement for best aesthetic impact, as well as follow-ups after handover to address minor rectifications.

As my block was selected for HIP, I decided to also renovate my kitchen which is already 20yrs since we moved in. Yi Lei was my ID and I told her about my idea of having an open kitchen with an island which needed to demolish wall between my living room and kitchen. We met few times in their office in Balestier to discuss the details. Yi Lei accommodated my request and also gave some of her ideas and suggestions. The 3D drawing was really nice to have a better ideas of the final design. Yi Lei coordinated well with the various parties from hacking, tiling, installation of the cabinets, quartz top and glass installation. All went well as planned without much delay. Their in-house carpenter is also very professional and meticulous. Workmanship was good. In addition 2 years warranty was given which is a plus! Finally the kitchen was completed, exactly what I had wanted. I am happy working with Yi Lei as she is honest and responsive. Last but not least, after completion of my kitchen, I decided to add a platform to my balcony. Yi Lei brought the wood samples to my house and gave some suggestions. She even arranged to send some A4 size samples which we shortlisted. This made our selection much easier as the samples on booklet were too small to imagine how it would turn out. A different carpenter came on the day of installation. He is also very professional and worked throughout the day until late evening. I did not expect so much back-breaking hardwork goes into making just a platform. I am really impressed with their hardwork and dedication. Overall, everything turned out well without much hassle. I would engage Yi Lei again if I need to renovate other parts of my house in future.

Minyi is a reliable, trustworthy, dependable, efficient Interior designer. We met up with different ID in various firms but none can compare with Minyi’s enthusiasm and passion. The chemistry we have when comes to discussion of designs and color scheme, She will always share her professional opinion. We gave her some ideas what we want and within a few days she came back to us with the draft design sketch. She is more efficient than we are like as if she is the owner of the house. After checking the fengshui, we do have a targeted date to move in and also due to pandemic, a lot of works are expected to be delay but Minyi make impossible become possible. We moved in as according to our auspicious date. Definitely there are some slight hiccups, but Minyi make frequent visit to our home to oversee the contractor workers doing the work despite her busy schedule. Minyi also checked with us regularly when we shift in to see if there are any problems with the carpentry which turns our perfectly fine with no defects. We would highly recommend Minyi from Fineline Design!

We engaged Jayden from Fineline Design. We surveyed over 10 IDs and settled with this due to the reasonable quotation and the concept that we wanted was somewhat similar to the project that Jayden showed us. We moved to resale 4-room unit that was just MOP so it was just 5 years old. Total costs of renovation was about $42k. We wanted modern scandi with bright and airy concept and happy that we achieved the look. Received compliments from our guests and even strangers such as deliveryman or external contractors! Jayden was helpful in suggesting what was suitable but he was also open with our preferences. There was a few challenges where we feel that the project was a bit behind time but grateful that we managed to move in right after our wedding and before the pandemic hits. Along the way there was some adjustments we need such as adding partition wall or electrical part and Jayden still supported us in providing contacts and advices. Overall, we are happy with the service provided by Jayden. Thank you!

This was our first time doing a reno and we were looking to do up our master bedroom. We talked with a few IDs and chose Minyi from Fineline Design in the end because Minyi was most forthcoming and enthusiastic to talk to us about our project. Overall, the result was good, and we were satisfied with the outcome. We appreciate Minyi's work in helping us achieve our desired room to return to everyday. Workmanship is also overall quite good. However, we would like to review some of the not-so-good points during the design and reno process. 1) we engaged Minyi in Sep 2020 without a hard deadline to finish the project. However, we definitely did not expect it to drag beyond 4 to 5 months as we only had to reno one room (the project was finally done in early Feb 2021). The main issue was that the 3D drawings were done by a separate, dedicated team and not by Minyi. And every iteration takes 2 weeks to be done because there was always a 'queue' to get our drawings done. After waiting 2 weeks for the drawing, and if there is anything we wanted to amend, we would need to wait another 2 weeks for the drawing to be amended. Just by going through 4 or 5 iterations of 3D drawings alone, we have already spent 2 to 3 months. If you are a beginner in the area of ID and reno, and depend highly on 3D drawings to give you a feel of your desired design, this lead time for multiple iterations is definitely something you need to take into consideration. In the end, we had to push through to finalize the designs with Minyi so that she could help to quickly schedule the works, and we eventually managed to complete the reno before CNY in early Feb 2021. 2) As beginners to the ID and reno scene, we wanted to engage an ID who could propose and demonstrate designs based on the rough ideas that we give. However, we often find Minyi asking us to give specific design ideas instead. And partially because of the issue with 3D drawing, we couldn't get much inspirations / illustration from Minyi. 3) Again, as beginners to the reno scene, we started asking for quotations early on and focused more on which ID seemed to fit our design ideas best. We didn't pay much attention to the quoted prices. Anyway, the designs at this stage were still very preliminary and were bound to have many changes. Because we had already engaged Fineline Design with contract, when designs were finalized and we could finally talk prices more realistically, we did not have any bargaining power anymore. In the end, Minyi did help us secure some goodwill discounts. But we felt like Minyi/Fineline could have done more to give us better prices even though we had already signed the contract. This is after scrutinizing the unit prices and comparing against guideline prices on websites like qanvast. If you are looking to reno and are already asking for quotations, even though your design ideas are still very rough and preliminary, you might want to scrutinize the costing early on. To reiterate, by no means are we saying we had a bad reno experience with Minyi/Fineline. We are just highlighting a few problems that we encountered, for sharing with all beginners to the reno scene. Overall, Minyi did help us in achieving our desired bedroom design, and accommodating our requests. Albeit with some rough moments here and there when it came to talking about prices and work schedule.

The works got delayed due to Covid but when it resumes, everything was smoothly plan and executed without much intervention from our end.
