I had the pleasure of working with Suki on the renovation of my 1984 4-room HDB flat, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Suki was instrumental in solving challenges related to space planning and budget management, helping me achieve the dream home I’ve always wanted. I never imagined my old flat could be transformed into a space that feels like a modern condo, but Suki made it possible with her expertise. The minimalist white theme with subtle wooden accents turned out beautifully, and I absolutely love how the final design looks and feels. We had a fantastic experience working with Cheryl as our interior designer. She truly brought our design vision and illustrations to life, making our dream home a reality. Cheryl was incredibly easy to communicate with and consistently went above and beyond, demonstrating exceptional responsibility and professionalism. Despite our multiple requests for her plumber and carpentry team to return for various adjustments (including issues beyond their control, like installing a tap due to missing components or fixing a chip I accidentally made in the carpentry), Cheryl handled everything without a single complaint. Her sense of aesthetics is great, and the carpentry work turned out beautifully thanks to her precise measurements. Cheryl also provided practical suggestions that perfectly balanced form and function. Now, three months into living in our new home, we are still glad to have went with TIL and Cheryl for our house. We worked with Suki from TIL and are impressed with the outcome of our resale HDB. We did a gut reno of almost the whole house and Suki and her team delivered on what we were looking for in the apartment. Suki managed the project end to end. She ideated on the concept of the place with us, gave practical suggestions with good aesthetic sense, and oversaw the renovation. It was quite fuss free for us and the quality of the work is high. Throughout the renovation process, Suki guided us expertly and have the right contacts for us. She is also very proactive and responsive, showing high ownership to make sure everything is delivered smoothly and on time. TL;DR: I highly recommend our designer Peilin from TIL to any new homeowners. We hired Peilin and her company for our condo renovation, and having gone through this process once before, we came prepared with many requirements. After speaking with 7 different interior designers, we eventually chose Peilin for several reasons. First, we were impressed by her design style as showcased on her Instagram page, which featured her past projects. Unlike many designers who only present renderings or generic company projects, Peilin's portfolio gave us confidence in the quality of her work. Communication with Peilin was also seamless. In our initial meeting, we shared detailed requirements, and she accurately captured them in her proposals. This was in contrast to some other designers who either overlooked certain aspects or presented entirely different ideas. Not only did she address our functional needs, she also reflected our preferred style accurately. By our second meeting, while other designers only presented layout proposals, Peilin shared mood boards with potential design ideas that aligned well with what we wanted. Another thing we appreciated was that Peilin never hard sells things that we don’t need, or tries to push us to do more things or use more expensive materials. In fact, she even suggested abandoning certain ideas, like installing decking on the balcony, for easier maintenance. The final proposal she presented comfortably fit within our budget and accommodated most of our requirements. Throughout the renovation, we are even more convinced that we made the right choice. We made several changes to the requirements during the design phase and in the middle of the project, and every time Peilin would do her best to accommodate our changes. She also follows closely through the entire project herself. Since me and my husband are both busy during the working day, most of our communications happen either late at night or during the weekend. Sometimes we also only contact her for random ideas and suggestions. Peilin is always very responsive to all our messages. Since we are buying a lot of furniture and appliances from overseas, it often gets delayed. And we have to push back some of the work a few times. Peilin almost never pushes us and would proactively help to coordinate with different vendors to reschedule. Overall, the entire renovation process was smooth, and most importantly I'm very happy with how our new home turned out. I would not hesitate to engage Peilin and her company again in the future.

I had the pleasure of working with one of TIL’s famous interior designer, Aqilah Halim for my home renovation, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is truly amazing at what she does. From the very start, Aqilah was incredibly meticulous in her approach. She took the time to listen carefully to my ideas, truly understood my vision, and built on it with creative and practical suggestions. Her ability to blend her expertise with my preferences was nothing short of exceptional. What stood out most was her professionalism and character. She was prompt in her replies, ensuring that communication was always clear and efficient. She had excellent control over the project, handling everything smoothly and on schedule. Importantly, she was honest and transparent in her suggestions—there was absolutely no hard selling at any point. I felt I could trust her completely throughout the entire journey. Even after the job was complete, Aqilah continued to go above and beyond by checking in to make sure everything was well as I settled into my new home. That level of care and commitment is rare to find. Not only is Aqilah highly skilled, but she is also incredibly accommodating and generous. She was always willing to make adjustments and never once made me feel like she was being calculative. Thanks to her, my 2 bedroom apartment unit has turned not only into a cosy space that I eagerly look forward to come home to everyday, but also a showroom that I, and anyone would absolutely love and be proud of. We are very blessed to have Rachel Kam as our ID. The interior lab was an obvious choice for us, as we realized that they are one of the few companies that have done "Modern Farmhouse" renovations. We knew that working with Rachel was the right fit for us, as she patiently listened and understood our requirements, based on the mood board my wife prepared. We have encountered other IDs who were quick to sell us their template design and discounted what we really wanted in terms of design and functionality. Rachel has done a really excellent job in envisioning what we could do with our 1500 square feet space. She is quick to propose a series of different alternatives to make our space more functional. Rachel makes it a point to understand our lifestyles and by doing so, collaborated with us in the creation of our own hobby rooms. She also dedicated her time in helping us find suppliers and choose the different accessories for the home. As with every renovation, there are bound to be challenges, but we were not distressed by it. She understands that we have an extremely busy schedule, and she took her own initiative to oversee all the steps of the renovations. Whenever issues arise, she was quick to resolve, or to propose solutions for us. When offered solutions by contactors, she also goes the extra mile to check to determine that the ultimate solution works and is functional for daily use. And lastly, we were very surprised that our ID even purchased a broom for us, to clear our place following some last-minute rectification work. This goes to show that she treats every project of hers of importance, valued her work, and regards our place as not just a project, but a home. We engaged Mabel as our ID and we have no regrets. Meeting her for the first time at TIL office at pemimpin, we inmediately knew we can communicate with her. Starting with the initial meeting till end work, Mabel have been very transparent and list out the potential issues that will arise to us so that we are aware of and deal with it according to her advices. During the renovation process, she have been consistently updating us on the progress even though my wife and I were in overseas for our honeymoon at that period. Once we came back from overseas, renovation was already 70-80% done. We are impressed with Mabel’s design and we trusted Mabel’s decision & advice all the way. I would like to thank my ID Hazel Tan and Donny from The Interior Lab for a wonderful home and a pleasant experiences throughout the whole renovation process. We started engaging Hazel since late 2022, even her quotation is not the cheapest among all the quotations we had, but her attentiveness on all the details, patiently addressing all our requirements as well as the confidence of delivering our dream home help us made the decision. The renovation was relatively smooth with issues being sorted out quickly and timely photos/video update of the renovation progress and we managed to finish within the timeline. Hazel was very responsive during the process for any questions we have even late at night or weekends. Minor post renovation rectifications are being attended quickly with minimal disruption. Overall it is absolutely the right decision to choose TIL for our home renovation and our sincere appreciation to Hazel. We had a great experience with our ID Edwin Kwan from The Interior Lab who helped us to renovate our BTO! Edwin is really professional, friendly and talented. He proposed a great design that fitted our vision and was budget conscious as well. We also really appreciated the practical advice he gave us which we would not have thought of ourselves as first-time homeowners. For example, on Edwin's advice, we did not install a raised shower kerb at the common area bathroom so it would be easier to place a big bathtub for bathing our baby. We only installed the shower kerb at the master bathroom where adults shower. Throughout the renovation process, Edwin was also very responsive in liaising with the contractors and following up with BSC for defect rectifications. He is really a pleasure to work with. We love the way our home looks and would definitely recommend him to others!

Owning a studio means having to master the art of Tetris with the available living space. I originally was pretty nervous about the renovation because it is something that I have not gone through before - being a first time homeowner. But my recent renovation with VinShin at The Interior Lab (TIL) was a great experience and I felt like I could depend on him. From the first meeting, I felt that I could click with VinShin. He impressed me with his attentiveness. He didn't just take note of my design mockups; he actively listened to my needs and wants, understanding my desire for a space that was as aesthetically pleasing as it was liveable. Vin isn’t just about the aesthetics. He is a technical and hands-on person, explaining what was actually feasible within my studio. This clear communication and realistic advice saved me from potential headaches down the line. There were some detailed requests of mine that were pretty challenging, but Vin did not back down and he tried to think of ways to achieve it. He also helped to transform awkward corners and unused nooks into hidden storage, such as concealing unsightly gadgets like the router, power adaptors, cable wirings and extension cords. Vin didn't just focus on the aesthetics, he understood that my studio needed to be liveable first and foremost. We kept the overall design clutter-free to create a sense of spaciousness. Vin helped me choose materials and surfaces that were easy to clean and maintain, ideal for a small space, yet airy and cozy to suit my requested ‘muji’ look and feel. Vin kept me updated throughout the entire renovation process, proactively offering advice and addressing any concerns I had. This ongoing communication made me feel involved, which was invaluable during such a big project. Even after the renovation was completed and handed over to me, Vin’s support didn't end there. When a few minor kinks popped up, he responded quickly and efficiently, coordinating with his contractors, rectifying the issues with minimal fuss. Lastly, I want to thank Vin, for accompanying me on my renovation journey and for making my forever dream home come true.

After walking through my specific needs with various interior designers (one of them specifically requested by me as I have always wanted my retirement home to be designed by him), I finally decided on Edwin Kwan from The Interior Lab (instead of the ID I have always wanted) as I realised designer's attentiveness, responsiveness and professionalism matters most. Living with a visually impaired senior dog, functionality with focus on safety for the dog need to come first and everything else is second to that. Edwin listened and understood what our needs are and he managed to incorporate most of our specific needs within a lean budget, ensuring the design enhance rather than dictate the way we live. I wanted a minimalistic design atmosphere, adapt it to a serene and 'hazard-free' living for my dog and myself. Edwin paid attention to selection of anti-slip flooring that's suitable for dog, designed the main LDK areas to be as unobstrusive as possible with only low kitchen cabinets and build a laundry cum dog grooming space that makes my life easy. The openness of the house has become a great space where my visually impaired dog is comfortable moving around. Our renovation journey is relatively uneventful as Edwin sorts out issues quickly, provides alternatives and timely updates with photos & videos of the renovation progress. Work rectifications post renovation was also attended to quickly with minimal disruptions to my dog's adaptation to the new environment. While the outcome is not a 100% match to how I originally envisioned my retirement home, I am satisfied how it turns out as it met most of my functional needs within my budget - thanks to Edwin's down-to-earth advice to focus on functional priorities rather than expensive aesthetics. Lots of thanks to Edwin for being patient, accomodating to my time and change requests and thanks to the various teams who helped with our retirement home. No regrets trusting Edwin with our home :)

We engaged with Eric . During consultation , Eric laid out the possible renovation ideas that do not cause a bank in the buck for us ( as we were in a budget ). His sincerity and professionalism during the consultation was one of the main reasons we engaged with him . During the renovation , Eric was super helpful assisting us on coordination with his team from carpentry , plumbing to even air con installation. Engaging him and his team (TIL) was really a bliss as there will be consistent updates in a timely manner. Eric’s creativity and being able to think on his feet has helped us solved various construction issues in our property without costing a lot . We went through many Interior Design websites and met up with many IDs in their offices & on site at our new house. Their proposed designs were either literally from what we said without value add/ downstream impact considerations, or at the other extreme of taking down walls even though it’s a new development. Some did not come back with the proposal/ quotation after meeting up, and those who did was only rectangles and circles to visualize how the design would turn out to be as the 3D sketch could only be done upon certain amount of payment. Suki was the only one who was able to quickly put what we were looking for in a Dream Home into hand drawn sketches; only after one virtual session at night to understand our requirements. We signed up with her immediately when we met up in her office. Her professionalism and passion in her work were very apparent in that session. She understood readily what we were looking for, and could put them into hand drawn sketches on the spot. She even readily offered us different consideration viewpoints based on her experience. Throughout the renovation period, she remained to be responsive & reliable when we contacted her at anytime (augmented by a group of responsible contractors, who were able to accommodate our needs and adjustments). She was also resourceful with good project management skills & practical with user centric thinking design. We would drop by the new house during the renovation period, and would have suggestions to refine certain part of the reno. She was very patient & flexible to accommodate even though we have signed off the proposed design, as she found the suggested refinement were reasonable & it’s for long term usability. Her response was also very prompt to the shifting of the lighting points from the original agreed to another preferred location without additional cost. At the end of the renovation, she indeed achieved the design of our dream home, because she was able to understand our needs so well, and the outcome of the home design is exactly from her 3D design; down to the colour and laminate proposed by her, absolutely requiring no amendment; built with superior workmanship within budget. We met and compared between 6 interior designers, before we decided to work with Angie Ku from The Interior Lab. Angie’s approachable personality, makes it easier for us to share our ideas. We also love the fact that unlike most of the designers we met, not only was she proactive in proposing ideas,she truly listens to our needs and design a home that is attuned to them. Our dream home is something that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain. Initially, we had Victorian theme in mind, however after discussing with Angie, we decided to go with the muji-scandi theme, which better suited our needs. We did change our mind a couple of times during the renovation period but Angie was always very accommodating to them. We were impressed with the final outcome of the home. We really love the design of the home. There were some minor defects but they were quickly resolved once we contacted Angie. The Interior lab has a professional and realiable team- electrician, carpenters that has great service. We were very satisfied with the workmanship and overall aesthetics of the home. Moreover, the price point was reasonable. Highly recommend Angie and The Interior Lab for your next home renovation!

Saw TIL on YouTube decided to engage them and was assigned Joel . She throw out some ideas at our first meeting and we were comfortable with it. We emphasis that we would like the space to feel spacious and also a toy display cabinet is of importance . Her ideas are out of the norm from what have seen from Pinterest or Qanvast. The renovation itself was pretty smooth. She will often drop down the unit to have a look . As we are working on a tight timeline she set reasonable expectations , since our Reno will be done through the CNY period . She have factor in sufficient buffer into the project and we are able to move in before the expected completion date . Pre Reno , we notice Minor issues here and there , our calls to her was responded promptly and she arrange for her guys to come rectify the problems in a few days .

Bought our new home in July 2021. Was comparing among 3 ID firms and decided to engage Ms Joel Chan from The Interior Lab (TIL) Pte Ltd in view of her prompt response follow with a meet up session to discuss further on design, planning and execution of the entire project. By understanding our requirements of a scandinavian, aesthetically pleasing, minimalist home with warm and cosy vibe coupled with durability, functionality and easy maintenance, the choice of uniform colours such as white, cream, beige, grey and wood, we met up and discussed on separate occasions for selection of tiles, vinyl, laminates, quartz top for kitchen and vanity cabinets, sink and dish rack, wash basins, facuets, venetian blinds, doors, gate, bathroom fittings, lightings, painting, plumbing, electrical and aircon works. In view of the tight timeline as we would need to move in on 22 Dec 2021 after our 3 months' extension stay in our previous home, Joel assured us that she will do her best during the renovation process by ensuring a ready home on 20 Dec 2021 instead, taking into consideration should there be any rectification work prior to our actual date of moving. She did not overcommit, was frank and upfront in explaining and seeking our understanding if there is any hiccup(s) or delay in view of the pandemic situation, manpower issue and supplies. The renovation started on 5 Oct 2021. She checked and inspected on site and factory to ensure all work and carpentry are completed in a timely fashion without compromising on the quality. She acceded to our requests of multiple changes, kept us updated via constant texts and photos by confirming and ensuring things are done in accordance to what we have agreed upon. Though there were minor touch ups in some areas but she is professional by providing us with her prompt replies and follow up action. Our home was handed over to us on 17 Dec 2021, 3 days earlier than our scheduled timeline, 20 Dec 2021. We are happy with the result delivered and would highly recommend her service to any homeowners who are keen or in the midst of shortlisting an ID for a reliable and less stressful home renovation journey.

We started out our reno journey with one MUST-HAVE. That is, to have an ID whom we can relate to and trust. As we are busy with our work schedules, having someone who understands what we are looking for and coordinates the work to be done really helps. We happened to chance upon one of Peilin’s project reported in a newspaper article. This reported project had some design ideas similar to what we wanted, and we decided to reach out to her. The first meeting with her was comfortable and she also shared quite a few ideas to complement our initial plan. During the numerous meetings that we have had, Peilin was always attentive to our queries and very patiently explaining to us what is best for the design. Her attentive and patient nature was evidently displayed when we wanted to change our design after getting the keys to the BTO unit and when the actual renovation was about to start. During the actual renovation, Peilin provided us with constant updates on the progress. In situations where there were issues or delay, she would inform us and gave assurances that it would be managed accordingly. It was not stressful for us as we knew Peilin would be on top of things. Although we had allowed Peilin to make decisions (for the project) on our behalf, she would still check with us on matters that would affect our budget. The entire renovation stage proceeded smoothly under Peilin’s charge and met our expectations. Last but not least, we would like to thank Peilin for her attentiveness and commitment to the entire project. We have moved in for about 2 weeks now and are loving every minute of it. Stress-free Reno, helpful designs, super workmanship! We were referred to Vincent Wang from a friend who recently did their BTO Reno. Vincent was easy to work with, patient, gave helpful design inspirations. He was mindful of our requirements, including maximising the space, and also helped soften up the kitchen and living area with curved cabinet edges. Vincent is also extremely detail oriented, ensuring that the electrical appliances fit well within the required dimensions. He is also very good with conceptualising lighting, and found ways to soften up the space with LED lights. The whole reno process was also very smooth. Vincent helped project manage the contractors, installation and ensuring that all the cabinets, kitchen counter top and toilet cabinets were done well. He also came with us to the lights & fixtures shop to ensure that the items we picked, e.g lights, toilet bowls, sinks matched and fit well together. Everything was done 1 month ahead of schedule, on an already very tight timeline! A home reno process can be very stressful, particularly for first time home owners like us. So many unknowns and considerations. Worse still, we heard many horror stories from our friends 'arguing' with their IDs. Thankfully, Vincent is the complete opposite - he was skilled in managing the timeline to completion ahead of schedule, great quality workmanship, reliable, all within our budget. Vincent was also flexible when we needed to change some requirements, e.g changing dish rack to shelf. Will definitely recommend Vincent to anyone and would love to work with him again!

My husband and I had a positive experience with our shortlisted ID, Cheryl Yeo. During our first meet-up, Cheryl was very detailed in her sketch ups which we greatly appreciate as she would provide genuine advise on whether certain ideas would fit in our layout or otherwise. The layout was covered in an orderly and systematic matter (a green flag that she is an organized person). She also took the time to understand the concept that we're aiming for (Scandinavian). During our second meet-up of going through the quotation, she was spot on with the visualization of our mood board. She went above and beyond to offer help in surveying furniture/items which would suit our whole concept, not just matters relating to reno but ensuring the whole house is coherent. It was also reassuring to know that she had done a Tengah project before. Not to mention, she kept to our budget, with no hard selling. She fell slightlyyy short in terms of lack of reviews and response time which might be due to her busy schedule. Despite so, we would still recommend other future homeowners to consider Cheryl as we believe she'll execute your idea into reality. Overall, a good experience with Cheryl Yeo of TIL. For my next forever home in future, i would definitely get in touch with Cheryl again :)

We came across TIL from their youtube channel and then found Suki from one of their YouTube videos and we were attracted by how passionate she was about her work. Suki was very keen on details, even from the very beginning during our first call, when we shared with her our house layout and the colours/theme that we wanted. What made us decide to engage her eventually was that she did not just agree to everything we suggested unlike other IDs we’ve met, rather, gave us constructive feedback and ideas that would be more sustainable for us in the long run. After consulting 8 ID firms and going through 2-3 rigorous rounds of consultations with each reviewing their proposals, I selected David Low from The Interior Lab to renovate my dream home. For context, my unit is an old 40+ year old resale unit in pretty much its original state and in need of a total overhaul. From the start, David stood out from the rest of the IDs. - David was proactive and paid attention to details, especially the 'unsexy' but fundamental and practical structural details (which many other IDs missed). He asked for the floor plan, existing photos / videos, and had mapped out them out on 2D for our first meeting and pointed out the structural challenges / nuances e.g. recessed wall areas that he recommended filling out. Many other IDs I consulted tried to appeal with the aesthetic aspect of their proposals, whilst David kept that as a secondary next step after addressing the primary fundamental needs of the layout / structural changes needed. - David was patient and balanced my needs and wants really well while giving practical recommendations with our habits, lifestyle and flow of movement around the home in mind. He did not just shoot down my ideas, whims and fancies but neither did he just agree to everything I asked for. In our 2nd and 3rd appointment during the pre-confirmation exploration phase (even before I selected The Interior Lab), he patiently re-plotted out some of my ideas on the spot to help me better visualize and go through the journey of exploring all possible options I wanted, before landing on the best optimal layout (even if this was a mentally exhausting 2 - 3 hours each time). - David was innovative and proposed solutions to meet each challenge that popped up. As renovation was about to commence, my estate received confirmation of HDB Home Improvement Program happening in the same timeframe, which threw a spanner in timeline and some of the works planned. David was able to propose a workaround. - David was an excellent project manager throughout, giving me timely updates every time; I never once had to chase him on the status of the renovation. He even handed over to me 1-2 weeks earlier than I expected. - David was transparent and in fact gave me a quote which was the one of the highest compared to the other ID firms, but also reasonable and fair. His quote basically included almost all essentials / wants that I had requested, so I could have a better idea of my personal price ceiling, whereas other ID firms mostly left those out to try to fit the rates within my stated budget. - David has impeccable taste and an eye for design, recommending some non-cookie cutter touches to the home. He was also courageous to say no and shoot down some of my ideas and propose much better ones. Thank you David (we received many compliments on our kitchen layout and bathrooms :) ) - The workmanship of the Interior Lab was impeccable with nearly zero defects. After almost a month of moving in, we are really happy with our remodeled home. We will absolutely engage David and The Interior Lab again for our next home and highly recommend to our family and friends!

This is my review three years in the making since that was how long ago when we engaged Vincent Wang as our ID for our Clementi 4rm resale flat back in 2021. I'm writing now because home reno is a major milestone for any families, and our house stood the test of time. That meant that the carpentry work, and vendors who Vincent engaged, were reliable and didn't cause many issues after all these years. In the past years, there would be bound to have some minor wear and tear issues here and there and Vincent provided prompt and sound advice with follow up actions, even though our project was completed years ago! I've read horror stories on home reno, but after living for three years, I don't have stories to tell, which is good!

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Peilin, for helping us to design, build, manage and create the place we call our Home today. Suki from The Interior Lab (TIL). Didn’t source for many IDs, only 2. First engagement with Suki, she was able draw out on the floor plan based on our comments via Zoom. She provided suggestions based on her experience and our lifestyles. With the finalize design, she quickly kick start the ground work upon key collection. Together with Andrew, who joined the project during the reno phase. Project management by both was superb. Andrew was always on site to ensure everything was done smoothly. Through out the renovations, both worked closely with us and compliment each other’s experience. Both are constantly updating us the progress and always readily available to get our inputs. We always drop by our new place and would want to make changes to some reno portion and the team was patient and flexible to work even after the final proposed design. It was our first time renovating and we had shortlisted a few companies based on various criteria such as value for money and the sample portfolios available online. We met up with 5-6 interior designers and connected best with Matty from TIL. We found TIL reasonable in terms of quality and value for money. We've never looked back since then. Matty is approachable and friendly. She is very experienced and has many different designs under her belt hence is able to accommodate many different styles and requests. Despite her experience, she is flexible enough to listen patiently to us and our many requirements, and to try to make our dream house a reality. She accompanied us to select our lights, tiles, sinks, built in oven and microwave etc., and gave us advice on the dimensions and styles of our furniture. The mock-ups she did of our house were very professional and the built-in furniture turned out exactly to plan. Matty never tried to impose a certain point of view on us but listened to us until she understood what we had in mind. We are thankful for the different drafts she planned, each better than the previous. Matty also ensured that all the little details were done well, from hinges fixed so that lids and cupboard doors would not slam, to the height of our kitchen top counter which was just right for us. Matty designed the entire house thoughtfully and one example of how perfectly planned it was is the kitchen. Previously, the hob was on a narrow space away from the window. The sink was opposite the hob. One had to wash the food and then bring it, dripping away, to the hob. Matty redesigned the kitchen and positioned the sink beside the hob with clear space to wash and chop food before putting it directly into the pan without dripping all over the kitchen floor. The kitchen was much more ergonomically designed after Matty worked her magic on it. All in all, we had a great experience with Matty and TIL, and the house is perfect in every way, thanks to Matty.

We shortlisted two ID firms for the complete makeover of our family home of 15 years. When we met Angie Ku of Interior Lab in Dec ‘21, we had the strong feeling that we could entrust this project to her. She was patient and noted down our list of ‘pain points’ of the existing layout and fixtures of our house. When she reverted to us a week or so later with her proposed plan, we knew she had put serious thoughts in her proposed plan as she was able to clearly articulate how the plan addresses all of the ‘pain points’ that we have shared with her and how our dream home will look like when completed. During the renovation process, she regularly updates us via videos taken onsite and communicated to us real-time via WhatsApp to give us peace of mind that all are going well according to the plan. Whenever we have any queries including asking for her suggestions on the type, color & size of furnitures and electrical appliances that we are keen to buy to spruce up our dream home, she would respond almost immediately to our text messages including during weekends which unfortunately are times when we can go shopping due to work commitments. She never once tells us that she will only respond during office hours and will not hesitate to tell us if our choice is not ideal, showing once again that she shows passion in her job and her sincerity in wanting to help her client achieve their ideal home. In short, we are completed impressed with her attitude and professionalism and would strongly recommend her to anyone who is currently looking for a ‘five stars’ interior designer to handle especially complicated projects.

As with many homeowners, we were shortlisting ID firms and designers before handing our project to Eric. During our initial meet up, Eric impressed us with his eye for detail and experience though there wasn't an on-site recee. He was also one of the few IDs who showed us models of how our space could be planned out. He helped refined what we had in mind, he has a great sense of aesthetics and he was knowledgeable about materials/finishes to use which would make our home practical. From the get-go, Eric gave us utmost confidence in entrusting our home to him. Our confidence in Eric wasn't misplaced. Over the renovation, he gave us timely updates, and consulted us on decisions to be made for the home. He was quick to suggest his recommendations, but was always willing to listen if we sought for alternatives. He was also very responsive when we had questions or asked for his opinions on furniture (even on small decorative items) around the house. If I were to really nitpick, perhaps the experience would have been even better if he joined us on our furniture hunts. But we were mostly at ease because of his responsiveness over Whatsapp when we needed his take on things. Even after the project was handed over, he continues to be very forthcoming in his suggestions. Our project was on a tight timeline yet Eric delivered it on time. Perhaps owing to the timeline, there were a number of touch-ups to be done. Eric was timely in arranging them, and was also considerate in scheduling the different groups of contractors to come on the same day. His contractors have been pleasant to work with, and we never had worries about any parties shirking their responsibilities. Overall, I highly recommend Eric and his team. He is meticulous, experienced and can work within budget/time constraints. We had a very good renovation experience.

Our property type : Bishan 4rm (resale) Sheireen is the person to go for your ID needs. Her creativeness and practicality helps us to make the right decision whenever we come to a crossroad. We know that our resale flat overhaul is not going to be an easy task. We interviewed a few IDs and shortlisted her eventually because she is quick thinking, present only facts, and able to advise us the do's and dont's. With all these constraints, she is still able to pull off and conceptualised a design based on our multitude of ideas (like any other new owner, we spammed her with lots of ID pics from Pinterest). I had the absolute joy of working with Sheireen Sim from TIL. I count myself very fortunate to have worked with such a detailed, thoughtful, and responsible ID. I chanced upon TIL and met Sheireen by random chance. I had done much comparison with other ID firms, but settled with TIL as I felt comfortable working with Sheireen. Having heard many horror stories of renovation, I was initially cautious, but very soon, we established a good working relationship and trust. Sheireen was very patient with my request and ideas. She was also very forthcoming in giving suggestions or blind spots that I didn't anticipate. At times, I was quite amazed by her level of detail of having to understand my ideas, intent and focus areas. Her honesty and sense of responsbility & ownership as a project manager, allowed me to be more at ease with the project progression. The tiling and carpentry were executed timely, acurate, and error free. This saves me a lot of time as well from having to do retification work. Office meeting location is also well equipped with materials for fruitful discussions. Aaron Goh was our assigned Interior Designer for our condo renovation. Renovation includes hacking 2 toilets , transforming our kitchen and yard area. Aaron is calm but sharp, with a good eye for anesthetics and colour combination. We don't know him from before but he listened to our requirements keenly and caught on very quickly and recommended options to all our liking. Aaron is highly customer centric... as long as we have some doubts on the colours or design, he pulls out so many options for us till we are satisfied. He also handles all the contractors. Some has good workmanship eg. Tiler and carpenter but some can be improved. On the whole, there is bound to be slight hiccups but it is the attitude and urgency in how Aaron handles them and really his customer service which really made us recommend him to our friends.

After chancing upon The Interior Lab (TIL)’s portfolio, we shortlisted TIL as one of our interior designer firms. Upon meeting Eric Yap, we felt comfortable and confident with him and decided to engage him. We were looking forward to a spacious, decluttered home incorporating marble-like elements. We also wanted the colour scheme to be simple yet not too boring. We are glad that Eric took our design consideration into account and actualise our dream home. We were particularly impressed with the unique design of our TV console which we received lots of compliments for. We were on a pretty tight renovation timeline but eventually was able move in as scheduled, attributing to Eric’s excellent project management skills. Besides, coordinating the renovation works, we also left him in-charge for the arrangement of the delivery of various furnishing. We were glad that it was all well-organised Even though there was a couple of defects, it was promptly resolved. Suki not only gave me practical and nice design on the whole layout, she is also good in technical detailed work and able to advice me how things work. They also were professional and upfront in all the important things I needed to know and it definitely build up alot of trust between us! Throughout the reno journey, they were extremely patient and quick in responding to my queries. As I was planning for my reno alone, there were many times when I was quite stressed about the logistics and arrangements. However, they were always there and able to resolve any concerns I had (even replying through midnight)!
