I reached out to 5 ID firms and eventually chose Ming Yi to be our ID for our 2 bed + 1 study apartment. Since day 1, she has been patient, creative, willing to try new ideas with us and is very knowledgeable in this field. She has a flair in design and we immediately fell in love with her first render draft (minimal changes were required before carpentry fabrication). She is not afraid to tell us how certain ideas would not work out due to space constraint or it’s not practical even when it means earning less from us. We went back and forth so many times and she dealt with us so patiently despite all the changes. She is also super detailed to ensure all workmanship is of quality and handled the timeline of the renovation swiftly. Post Reno, Ming Yi was very efficient in arranging to fix any defects too. I’ve heard so many reno horror stories and I’m glad ours went along so smoothly! Thank you Ming Yi for building our beautiful home ❤️

We consulted a few design films before confirming with voila design because we instantly felt like we click with Ming Yi. She had great taste, mood boards that completely drew us towards her ideas. We left the renovation in her hands. She went tiles, carpentry shopping with us, giving us her true opinion and perspective. After 3 months of renovation, our house came out beautifully! After meeting with many other IDs, we engaged Jason as our ID in Mar 2020 as he was able to understand and further conceptualise our requirement for a modern contemporary home that was both warm and welcoming. Jason was patient throughout the many times that we met with him to discuss further on our theme and design even before signing the contract. When we went through the contract, he was honest and upfront about what was really needed and good-to-have, which enabled us to better keep to our budget. Just when we were about to start renovations, phase 1 of COVID-19 was announced and we had no choice but to postpone our renovations until mid-Aug 2020. During this time, Jason kept us updated on industry developments, including manpower constraints and shortage of imported supplies, which we appreciated. Even after we started renovations, Jason continued to keep us updated and also had his better contractors work on our house, which gave us better assurance. We can honestly say that the renovation process was largely snooth due to Jason's problem-solving attitude and making sure that any mistakes made by his contractors were quickly rectified or re-done at no additional costs to us. At a time when phase 2 of COVID-19 gave us much anxieties as to when renovations could finally be completed, Jason managed to deliver a house that we now love so much by early Dec 2020. This was despite manpower shortage that he had to manage and after minor touch-ups here and there. Post-renovation, Jason would immediately offer to dispatch his guys to our house without us asking if we thought that something was not working well. He would even "chase" us repeatedly for a reply on when his guy could come down when we took some time to get back to him. We felt that Jason really put in his all when he worked on our house. Jason has proven himself to be responsive, reliable, and someone with integrity. We couldn't recommend him more as an ID. He is an ID-turned-friend, and definitely no regrets with engaging him as our ID!

My ID took the time and effort to understand my family profile and recommended design alternatives that worked better for our lifestyle and budget; even if it meant cost savings on my part! Renovation is such a massive undertaking, but my experience with Voilà has been fuss-free as my ID keeps track of deadlines and provides timely updates.
