RAINBOW EVERYWHERE. Can skip straight to the videos to see them, first and last 2 are videos, the rest are images. Diamond is 1.29ct = 7mm. I bought the Decagon 10 HA (and decagon melee) because I was curious about its special shape, and was really happy with it. Under weak light or white light, you can see either highly contrasting arrows and scintillation. Under yellow light (such as shopping malls), you will see small light rays. Under strong lighting (like sunlight or jewelry stores), the flashes are blinding. It gives off a mix between many long thin rays of light and huge bursts of circular light, as if the ring has become a light bulb. Eugene was my sales associate. He's very helpful and answers all my questions, even more technical ones. Thanks Eugene (and sorry for bothering you with so many "unique" questions T_T) JP also has plenty of special unique cuts, with visibly better performance compared to industry-standard diamonds. Remember to check them out if you want something different.

This round we have been assigned to a wedding band specialist, Amy, who is very friendly and warm. It is recommended that you bring along your engagement ring so that you can see how it matches the band. Amy is very attentive and she quickly presented a few choices that are suitable for us. After presenting some wedding bands, she then explained the different attributes and designs of the bands, and how the diamond settings affects the light/sparkle as well as the future maintenance of the rings. Bought a beautiful white series lab grown diamond from JannPaul. While it can be unnerving to buy a diamond remotely, I really wanted to have one of the best but diamonds in the world. Avery at JannPaul was absolutely fabulous and worked with me using their camera set up to show me live the comparison of the 10 hearts and arrows cut versus a super ideal cut 8 h&a and a standard 8 ideal h&a. With their set up, it makes the comparison easy. She took several calls with me and we did a number of tests over video conferencing including taking the stones outside to see their brilliance. She was great at answering my questions and working with me throughout the process. I had the diamond shipped to me in the US, and I did the comparison against another super ideal cut 8 h&a diamond. In a comparison, it was easy to identify the light leakage in the 8 h&a version that wasn't seen in the white series. The table shape was a little different due to the cut, but the reflective properties were clearly better. Also, to really see clearly the hearts and arrows, you can use a scope, or a paper tube to keep light from coming in from the side, but only from above. In the end, I mounted the stone in a three stone engagement ring that looked quite beautiful. The images below give you some idea of the end product. Due to import laws in the US, it is best to bring in an unmounted stone which does not require a high duty fee. You will likely need to prompt FedEx with the import paperwork to get it through customs. If you have the time, I recommend buying early to give them the 4 months necessary to grow your diamond for the best cost savings.

We had a wonderful experience at JannPaul and will surely recommend it to all. The salesperson who took care of us was Cheyserr Olegario and she certainly impressed us at each step of the way. She was very patient with us and walked us through the workshop (about 1 hour) initially to explain the entire process and choices required to get an engagement ring, even though at that point we had not yet decided on JannPaul. This was super helpful and she made the process very easy for us. We also had some specific requirements for design, and Cheyserr was always available to us to discuss them. We were the most impressed by the fact that she was always improving upon our suggestions and giving us even better ones — this really shows that she understood our needs really well and knew exactly what we had in mind. Furthermore, we actually lived abroad and so we were visiting JannPaul only during a 2-week visit to Singapore. There were no also issues at all communicating thereafter via e.g., WhatsApp. We also had quite an impossible date in mind in getting the ring but mentioned that to Cheyserr nonetheless (emphasising that it would be best if we can get the ring by then), without being too hopeful because we knew it would be quite difficult. However, JannPaul was able to get it ready despite the tight time interval we gave. This is yet another example of Cheyserr and JannPaul surpassing our expectations. Overall, we are so happy with our decision with JannPaul. After doing a lot of research, I decided to seek for the ideal cut as the triple excellent in a GIA certificate was no longer sufficient for me and I exiged excellence in terms of fire, brilliance and scintillation. That's how I discovered Jannpaul. Their signature 10 hearts and arrows cut not only offers a unique look than the classic 8 h&a, but more importantly achieves excellent light performance (it comes with a Gcal 8x certificate too). I received my ring today and we absolutely love it! Moreover I live in Europe and we managed the whole process remotely and smoothly. It's worth mentioning that the whole custom made process from the rough and the ring design till the completion of the ring took us 3 months. So plan your project in anticipation. The entire engagement ring making process at Jann Paul was nothing short of amazing! My fiancé and I had a specific ring design that we had designed and JP was able to bring that vision to life. One thing that made JP stand out to us was the 3D renders and physical wax moulds that were provided for bespoke rings. This allowed us to visualize and feel what the actual ring may look like before it goes into production. We were lucky to be assigned to our diamond specialist- Marie, who was always so patient, professional and accommodating to all our requests. For eg, she took the initiative to provide us with multiple renders and moulds with slight variations (eg claw vs round prong setting) when we were unsure of our preference. I've been to about 4 diamond shops in Korea, but none really appealed to me. I kept thinking about Jannpaul, whom I had visited once last year, so I made a reservation for a return visit. The employee named Avery was very knowledgeable about diamonds, was very friendly, explained the diamonds in detail, and made sure to check the quality. The cost-effectiveness is also very good. It is the most popular in Singapore (famous for the brilliance and cut of the diamond). It may be difficult to visit many diamond shops without making a reservation. Please note that ring customization is possible and that diamond design may take up to 4 months. I was satisfied that I received a modeling sample 3 weeks after making the diamond and was able to modify the design or size.
