My boy enjoyed his lessons at Learning Playground tremendously. Teacher Matthew kept lessons engaging and interesting through fun learning activities. My boy's performance at English has improved significantly under Matthew's tutelage.

My son, attended a study skills and motivation workshop for young teens over 2 days in May and he found the sessions to be very beneficial. During the workshop, Matthew shared useful study skills/tips on how to create mind maps and the use of acronyms as a powerful and effective memory tool. I've already seen my son implement these ideas when making his science notes. During the segment on goal setting, Matthew covered overcoming procrastination and the importance of doing the things which would lead my son towards achieving his goals. I think it must have struck a chord deep within because for the first time, he seems clear and shared with me what he aspires to be. Also, it's interesting that he has stopped negotiating for break extensions but instead gets back to what he needs to do when break time is over! Incredible. When I had contacted Matthew, I was not looking for the usual marks booster classes which usually take place during the June holidays. Instead, I was looking for a workshop which would not only equip my son with valuable tools for personal and academic growth, but could inspire him to be so much more, and I feel this one ticked all the boxes! Matthew strikes me as a very kind and genuine person. He is a knowledgeable and skilled Educator and my son is blessed to have spent 2 days in his class. Thank you, Matthew, for being a part of my boy's personal development journey.

Teacher Matthew from the Learning Playground is more than a teacher. He was a mentor and coach to my son, Daniel when he was in P6. Going for lessons did not feel like going for just another extra class, it was a learning journey that challenged him academically. Daniel’s writing skills improved exponentially under Teacher Matt’s tutelage. His stories were selected to be published in Learning Playground’s collection of students’ work. We want to thank Teacher Matt for his invaluable input in Daniel’s learning journey. He is doing very well in secondary school, scoring As in his humanities!

Ethan joined Learning Playground only at beginning of his P6. He had changed a few tuition centres before moving to LP. He really enjoyed Matthew’s class and always look forward to going to the class. Matthew’s teaching approach and interesting method had supported Ethan’s learning journey and inspired his interest in learning English. His knowledge and technique improved, these were proven in school exams and PSLE score. In addition, Matthew has also gone above and beyond to provide additional classes and time to Ethan to help him with school assignments, story telling, application letter writing tips, and checking in on Ethan frequently to ensure he is on track. Zachary has been with Teacher Matthew since end of P5 to PSLE. Teacher Matthew’s teaching approach is unique. He uses interesting method to help the kids develop their writing skill. Teacher Matthew is very motivational, encouraging and engaging. In fact, his ability to change Zachary’s “stubborn” writing style impresses me. PSLE preparation is a stressful journey for most parents and kids. I am thankful that Teacher Matthew went through the extra miles for Zachary and the P6 students during the preparation. His teaching approach definitely makes learning a fun and meaningful journey. Zach remembered Teacher Matthew’s words “I cannot run very fast but can walk very far”.
