Reviews of Holland Drive Market & Food Centre
Having read so many good reviews of this place and we have to travel down from Jurong.
1st time here and absolutely there are many nice hawker stalls here. Notable crowd favourites are Butter Town and Ru Ji Kitchen on the 2nd floor.
Nice food centre serving local favourites in an old public housing estate. You can still buy one serving of prawn noodle soup or a bowl of pork rib noodles or a bowl of 卤麵or a plate of chicken rice for SGD3.00. The hawkers have kept the prices down in spite of the rising inflation. Most of the other food sells for SGD3.50 or less here. So if you pass by here, do support these hawkers. There's also an access point to the Rail Corridor near here.
One of my all time favourite Kopitiam at Holland area, serving a great variety of food at good tastes and prices.
I really like the duck kway chup (there’s 2 - look for the one with duck hanging), and the Ong Lai economic rice and porridge (my gosh! Cheap homecooked and tasty!). The lucky claypot rice is good as well but do order beforehand as even non peak takes abt 20 min to get ready.
Avoid the halal food - very mediocre food at expensive prices.
Definitely one of my fav Kopitiam at buona area.
Went to Sin Kee for lunch. Paid $3.5 for a chicken wing with rice. The rice was very good with the chicken meat being very tender. Quite a good bargain indeed.
Busy hawker centre with many good food. The roast duck, braised duck, roast pork and char siew here is famous. There are two stores selling these. Both are equally good. Also must try is the Lei Cha store, wanton noodle, and Hakka Yong Tau Fu.
Very busy during lunch hours.
Due to COVID-19 safe distancing measures entering this market require the trace together token or app and maximum only allowed to seat up to 4pax per table. This food Centre has few famous dishes, New Lucky Claypot Chicken, Fishball noodle which I never get to try because the queue is always very long. There are also some simple dishes such as Brown glutinous rice with peanuts and soon kueh which are also delicious. Weekend morning is usually very packed and so is lunch crowd on weekdays.
Really nice and affordable hawker Center with a nice variety of food options
If you happened to be in the neighbourhood, this place serves good fishball noodle, wan ton mee, nasi padang, fried yong tau foo, and kway chap. Just join the long queues to identify the right stalls.
There are lots of stalls and trinkets to buy. The sweet smells of fruit and cooked meats are fragrant in the air. The food is so good I forgot to take picture before I began to destroy the food with my mouth.
I went there during the "peak hours" which is about 12 -1pm. Most of the queues were very long but I managed to get my food from a store relatively quickly. I ate with my friends and the Malay store was very generous with their food, their plate was food to the brim. I ordered a chicken horfun with chili, it's really not bad for $3.5. There were multiple drink stores, you can just pick any and they'll give you your drink in less than 5 minutes. Plus, drinks are cheap at around $2.
Enjoyed my trip to Holland V!
The mutton curry sauce pairs perfectly with the prata, it's so delicious.
Lots of good food here. Wanton mee, Hakka Noodle, Malay Food, Claypot Chicken rice, Roast meat, Rojak. Call 30 min before coming for Claypot rice so you don't have to wait for too long.
In the evening, this Turkish food kiosk’s lamb burritos made me beamed with satisfaction!
Vegetable dishes with wok hey taste! With no MSG yet flavourish, must try! One of my sure eat vegetarian stall😜
Blanco court kueh chap is one of the best kueh chap I ever had! The broth is flavourful yet light. This tradition kueh chap stall has almost all the pig organs e.g. pig tongue etc. Intestines are well cleanse, which explains why there are none unpleasant smell.
Price is reasonable and it is definitely worth trying it out because it's so damn good.
IMO, this stall is wayy wayy better than the other kueh chup stall which sells together with duck meat. Puzzled me when I see the long queue at the other stall.
Many Yummy food to eat here. My favourite is the Handmade Chee Cheong Fun available x5 versions, original, cha siew, prawn, salmon & liver sausage. Made on spot so u might have to wait if there is a Q
There has been a lot of changes in the last decade or so. Old hawkers retired, so no more hainanese porridge which made a substantial comfort breakfast. Vegetarians are in for luck with 2 stalls to choose from. Basic fried beehoon with cabbage and some gluten mock meats, these are priced $2.00 - $2.30
Typical chicken rice, roast meats, wanton noodles, fishball noodles and coffee drinks etc are available.
My favourite firm beancurd is available at wet market (except Mon). Vegetable and other fresh produce, seafood and poultry stalls are also available.
I enjoy the kway chap with my family. We occasionally pay our visit there as we stay faraway. The food is nice n old school taste.
Nice food centre with lots of stall to choose from. Is very pack during peak hours, as the number of seats seems to be lesser compare to other nearby food centres like Gim Moh and Tanglin Halt. This food centre serves the morning and afternoon crowd so dont expect to see stalls open in the evening or night.
Saw 2 stalls selling Hakka food (as I am a Hakka) and decided to went for the noodles. Ordered the yong tau foo and the noodles. Fantastic!!!
Visited this hawker centre many times over the years. There are a lot of good food to choose from, some stalls are also in the michelin guide.
In comparison to other hawker centres, there are stalls maintaining relatively low prices despite the high inflation at time of posting. (Jun-22).
The popular stalls are very good, but usually have long queues. My personal choices are the Blanco Kway chap, vegetarian beehoon, wanton noodles, penang char kuay teow (as shown in photo). If unsure, just follow the queue.
My favorite spot is the little closer/plants shop. They have great hanging little plants in snail shells. And they are so kind!
Many good local food here. Want to specialist introduce a handmade CheeChong Feng.. make on the time you order. Very soft and the rice fragrance. There are many choices too.
Quite a lot of good local food at reasonable prices. It's only open during daytime
This guy's Kolo Mee is damn good (#02-43). The noodles are springy and the chilli is jus nice. Not too spicy or sour
The fried yong tau foo is fresh and flavourful. The fried shallots are damn crispy and tasteful. Gotta try it to believe it!

Hongkong style congee hide in a hawker ctr. Fantastic good. Worth to try. Value for money.
One of my favourite places to hang out for dinner. The claypot rice here is the best that I have ever eaten. The thing is you have to wait for a while for it to be cooked. However, the waiting makes it more delicious I guess. I have tried both pork and chicken claypot rice. I prefer the chicken though. It all depends on your taste buds. I will highly recommend this place if anyone wants to try traditional Chinese cooking. The claypot is cooked over real fire as well. That's something intriguing and it does leave a different aroma to the food.
They serve halal food in Aini Muslim Food and Shima's kitchen.
Delicious and Affordable.
Only 5 dollar guyssss
A lot of great food!
Sarawak Kolo Mee, Yong Tau Foo, Claypot Rice, Turkish food
The wonton mee (Dried) taste not bad. The stall holder is a elderly aunty. I can see that the serving is not the same as before as food prices has been going up.
Nice food but they close at 2pm. They only serve breakfast n lunch.
This a market cum hawker centre. Love the affordable vegetarian bee hoon, $2 till you fill. A place you can find many local food that are great. Lots of office crowd during lunch.
A great variety of good food. However choices are limited after lunch time. Usually very crowded during lunch peak.
Try the Muslim stall @ Level 2 sin Nasi Lemak resonable price not bad samba chilli is good
There are many stalls but some of them were either closed or sold out before 130pm. There are a few wanton noodles stalls and I tried the one with egg noodles, which is quite good but can be rather bland without chilli. The portion is fine but is not really that cheap for a hawker center. Nonetheless, it's still good place to visit since it's not extremely crowded.
One of the clean hawker center with many choices. Back Chor Mee here is awesome.
The claypot rice is still around. Must be willing to wait. The chye tau Kueh is not bad too
The two aunties really dish it out for us at this kway chap stall.
Taste was great, and queue was inevitable.
One of my favourite neighbourhood hawker centres, several popular hawker stalls with daily long queues.
The food served in this hawker is affordable and delicious. Popular food includes braised duck Kway chap, roast/BBQ meat, roast duck, Malay rice, Yong tofu, fishball noodle, wonton noodle, pork Kway chap, thunder rice, handmade Bao, vege rice and many more.
This is a breakfast/lunch hawker centre and there is limited option (claypot rice is main attraction) for dinner.
The hawker is frequented by senior citizens and residents in the neighbourhood. It is crowded during lunch hours when nearby office workers would flood the place and chopping tables by leaving their tissue packet, umbrella, lanyards and name tags. As a result, chopped tables are vacant due to the long queue time and making it harder for others who have bought their food to find seats.
Shima’s Kitchen serves good value Nasi Padang. Generous portions at reasonable prices.
Great place for breakfast. Blanco court kway chap is my favorite.
A Pleasant and Clean market. I tried the handmade Chee Cheong Fun & it was delicious! The soya bean milk was yummy too & the food (in general) was reasonably priced. The next time I'm at Holland area I'll definitely visit again.
opens early but also closes early (7pm weekday). not very crowded. barely any tourist. easy to find a table to eat. some stalls were closed. only open chicken and rice place was serving soups when i showed up late morning/early afternoon not sure if sold out. hawker stalls are kind of intimidating for a first timer but easy to just point at a menu item. most stalls do not sell drinks. best to go to drink stalls first then food. Cash only
Fish ball is quite nice. Dried version has nice chilli gravy. The fish balls are great.
The place sells nice variety of food and many at affordable prices. However, one star less as weekday lunchtimes are like war, difficult to get a seat and queues can be horrendous. Also, note that stall openings really depends. As a YTF lover, this is a nice place as there are 3 stalls selling YTF, my fave being the newest stall selling Kolo Mee. Reason being, compared to the rest, I prefer their sauce for their QQ noddles but note that it is quite oily and sinful. Each item is also relatively substantial and noodles are of good portion. Hakka noodles are my next alternative. Fifty years (Wu Shi Nian) provides smaller sized items and noodles are more alkaline-y. Fave coffee stall is Mei Xiang. Recall an extremely affordable shop selling prawn noodles (right behind) and lor mee at $3! Fish soup tastes not bad but... Very basic ingredients, no tofu or tomato, just fish and lettuce. There are 2 Kway chap stalls for choice (they take turns to open). There is quite a few vege and economic rice stalls.
Lunch hour crowd. 2 Malay stalls with one selling Nasi Padang & the other was Nasi Lemak. Long queue for the nasi padang stall. Theres also an Indian stall. Overall the halal foods was nice.
My personal fav... Bak Chor Mee Stall and Claypot Chicken Rice Stall
One of my favourite hawker centre. Very happy to see the new Noodle stall by this young hawker - very tender pork rib and delicious noodle
Good and cheap food. This hakka yong tou fu is nice.
Most stalls close by 4pm except for the claypot chicken rice that closes after lunch and opens for dinner at 5pm. Must order ahead as it takes 20 mins to prep the dish.
It has a good variety of local hawker dishes such as porridge, wanton noodles, desserts etc, but dud to its small size, the queues are long. However it is not crowded because most people takeaway their food jnstead of eating there. Some hawker stalls are on available on Grabfood so you may order via it too.
Parking is sometimes difficult. Food stalls hv consistent quality. Stall owners can be grumpy if v busy. But overall, I still like going there 😏
Great local food. I had Nasi Padang at Shima, won't be disappointed. 2 stalls away on left is friend fritters. Had the Sweet Potatoe and Green Bean. Sweet Potato still very crispy and not oily. Green Bean is not too sweet, just nice. 1 staff on right is Line Rojak. Had it and it was very good.
This market mainly serves the morning and lunch crowd, with the famous claypot rice serves the night crowd. The food spreads is good with quite a number of good eatery such as the roasted meat stall, the traditional wanton mee, etc. It has two Muslim friendly stalls currently. Wondering which stall to order? Just follow the queue and it will not be too wrong.
Old market stores with good food with still reasonable prices with some new modern stores.
You can still find some old school stores selling cheap food here.
The duck, char siew and roast pork store still selling generous amount meat with their food ranging from $3.
Tried the Chee Cheong fun, not bad. The sauce isn't too salty and skin was pretty smooth.
This Hawker Center is popular with workers from nearby offices and is pretty crowded during lunchtime. It has a good array of stalls offering Chinese, Malay and Indian food. Judging by the long queues at many of the stalls viz kuay chap, thunder tea rice, hakka yong tauhu to name just a few - might be worthwhile paying a visit! If u have time to spare, head down to the basement to check out the market, florist and dress shops. Directly next to the HC is a coffee shop which is also worth a visit for western food, roasted delights, popiah and old airport road lor mee. Whatever u choose to eat - bon appetit!
Good place for early lunch at 11am. Usually lunch time pretty crowded. Laksa with added chicken is very nice.
Kindda good have free live chinese songs to listen while u enjoying ur food.
Great range of cooked local food from many vendors at very economical affordable prices with plenty of seating at the upper deck. Like any popular eating spot, seating at peak hours can be difficult to find. Many get take-away food instead of dining there. Lower deck is a wet market with a good range of butchers for various cuts of fresh meats, fishmongers for seafood, others for vegetables, fruits, eggs, spices, dried goods, biscuits, also other sundries.
Most stores are opened for breakfast & lunch. Only the western, caifan and claypot are open for dinner.
A lot of choice of foods and drinks with rrasonable price. However, most of stalls are closed after 3PM because they open early in the morning.
Also both hawker centre and toilets are clean, at least in good condition.
Good variety of food. But the food usually sold out soon after the lunch hours. Nothing much to eat thereafter especially in the late afternoon or evening. The Claypot rice stall is over-rated and the staff are quite arrogant!
The wet market below the hawker centre has limited stalls selling fresh food. Many stalls sell same kind of seafood items. There are 2 stalls selling fresh yong-tau-foo items and sold out by 9.30am. Very limited choice!
Plenty food selection and they are SO CHEAP and TASTY compare to Holland Village Market. This place is usually filled with older local patrons, with plenty of $2.50+- breakfast selections to choose from. Weekend is pretty crowded, and may be a little bit tough to look for a seat.
Probably the only thing not to like is that it can be difficult to find seating during peak hour. Best to come with company to engage in some "cheop-ing" of tables. Good variety of food items. Expect queues everywhere
Hawker center on the second floor and vegetable and wet market on the lower story. Some kind of live music on certain days at lunch, quite entertaining. Some of the stalls have unique offerings, including the prawn mee. There is usually enough seating, even for lunchtimes on weekdays. In the evenings, many stalls are closed, this is more of a day hawker center.
Always crowded for lunch due to the number if offices around there. If you drive just parked across the road in the MSCP, the open air one forget it. Our favorite is New Lucky claypot rice and Blanco Court Kway Chap. Cheng Heng is good too if you like queues. The noodles stalls there are meh despite the reviews.
Great place to get a sumptuous breakfast as many stalls open early. Yap kee wonton noodles has a unique noodle texture but serving size can do much better. The claypot rice is over-rated. Lunch time is packed with office ladies & gentlemen. Get your tissue packs ready to reserve seats. *Google it my dear expats
Shima Malay stall has good varieties of food, its speciality "fish assam pedas " n "Prawns petai" Beef rendang, long que from morning breakfast till closing time. Reasonable price.
Nice place to enjoy a quick and simple lunch. There are many stores in the food court. Price is decent with ~$3. Wet market on the ground floor with lot of fresh foods.
Many hawker stalls are highly rated or has won local awards for fine food! Recommended to go during off-peak hours as it is very crowded!
You have local hawker stall st level 2 & wet market at level 1.
You alway can see the long queues for the clay pot rices.
Hand made chee chong fun ans the fish ball noodles is also one of the best favorite.
But you need to be
But there's also many others nices food surround, carrot cake, Kolo mee, yong tau hu so many choices in reasonable prices.
Most of the stall will be close for dinner as nothing much to take.
Wet market do provide most of the basic needs.
Parking is usually not available.
You could try to park opposite HDB and just cross the street.
3 delicious food stalls with long queues: Minced Pork Noodles, Char Siew/Duck Rice and an old school (Ran by an Aunty & Uncle type) economical rice stall.
Claypot rice is overrated.
As always, it is difficult to get a table and seat during lunch hours.
Good mix of foods inside there. Vegetarian stall, chicken rice, Muslim nasi Padang, kuay chap, wanton noodle and good local coffee.
Nice food 🍲, but a tad bit hot. But can't complain coz it a hawker centre. If I pass by, might or will consider it as an option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is distinctive and simple, unlike some other hawker centers. Will recommend it to family and friends if happen to talk bout it. Good alternative to restraunts. 😋
Many great food stalls in one condensed space! The Kuay chap is to die for. With famous malay stalls as well as desert stalls. Claypot rice. Will definitely return some day
Quite good food surprisingly. The wanton noodles are pretty springy and the paofan is really delicious with the wok hey taste.
Mostly morning market. The only food opened at night is the claypot rice.
A cool shopping and eating place. You can enjoy nice foods at the variety of Chinese foods plus Indian and Malay choices.
Normal Hawkers food but not Hawkers price
Affordable with many great local food options
, Do try out the roast meats and the yong Tau foo but be warned of long queues! #supportlocal
Just went there for coffee. Coffee is still one of the cheapest at $0.80 per cup. Quite a number of stalls at this hawker centre. And a lot of stalls were already opened for breakfast at 7 plus in the morning. May want to try for lunch someday.
Thean nyoon wee mcroy thank you support Holland Drive
Nice cozy eating place with plenty of variety to choose from except to avoid lunch crowd 12 to 1pm
It's a ok place. Stalls are spread out to different sections so tables & seats are more spaced out.
The environment is not very clean, but the food is not that expensive in comparison. I like the fruit juice shop inside. The grandma is very kind and the taro and coconut milk-flavored chorizo are delicious.
The food is delicious... lots of it is halal too!! If you want fried bananas, delicious cakue, market snack cakes, go here on foot...
good luck
Lots of old local food
There are really many variations of food, friendly prices, and clean.
