Reviews of The Bedok Market Place
Went there around 6pm on Sat and friends were able to get parking lot. Lots of cooler fans around. Most food stalls are good and I especially love The Burning Oak's Pork Cheek.
Good place for an array of food choices. Mr Kneady’s, Founder BKT, burning oak, naughty chef etc. Unfortunately, seems like the only access is via stairs and my elderly relatives are unable to climb up the flight of stairs.
Good alcohol choices.
The Bedok Marketplace - Welcome by a vintage VW and Vespa. Sin Kee Chicken Rice, formerly from Margaret Drive is here. Mr. Kneady, The Naughty Chef and Rong Guang
BBQ Seafood (see history attached) are also there. A very good place for drinking. Giant is located at ground level. For Near-by East Village Mall (for more bakeries, confectionery, restaurants and shops), see my blog "Been There Done That"
Great concept, with refreshing tenants. However, half the stalls are not open and parking can be a real problem on weekend evenings.
I love the food here. But I was disappointed with the condition of the tables. Have to take away a star for that.
Specially detoured to this place to have our dinner, due one of us not having fully vaccinated status yet. Real surprise here is that this place not implementing usual open air food court SOP and allowed only fully vaccinated guests to dine in.
We appreciated staff nicely explained they really have food court business license and no A/C too but they're instructed by authority to implement more strict rules...
And yeah...Syed cafe and Spize downstairs are open air but only for fully vaccinated (2pax) diners too.
Great music, great food at a great price! Wish there are more of such places around my neighbourhood!
Great makan place - authentic and local. The recent revamp has taken it up a notch, with a string of hipster joints added to the mix. Good concentration of halal stalls. We had nasi goreng and stingray panggang., excellent! Good luck guys!
Many good food choices here, such as Thai, Western, bakeries, and Japanese. The atmosphere is relaxing. The decor is not the same as normal hawker centres, it's rustic yet chic. Definitely recommend Fatty Patty burgers, Burning Oak don bowls, and the kebabs. The only drawback is that there is limited parking.
Interesting place with nice vibes and good food! Can watch football and there is some music. Highly recommended!
Don't expect high quality for their wagyu but for the price $16, can't complain much.
I ordered the wagyu and pork cheek combo
Would love to try their popular truffle wagyu combo next
Prices could be more affordable. Lacking halal options.
Food is pretty good. Not your traditional hawker center.
Seating availability varies based on time.
Varieties of shop, Great place for Dining @ Bedok Market plac3! 👌🏻
Variety food sold there from different stall eg Spize.
This place is a casual & perfect place for Western & Asian food. There are promotions for alcohol drinkers as well. Head to the first floor of the Food Centre
Delicious Awesome Food from Social Outcast !!!
Mr Kneady pizzas are really good, authentic Italian style. The beer pubs and drink stalls are best in quality and service. Great place to hang out, especially with the giant fans blowing from both ends. Corner western food stall is great value for the buck, cod fish and chips....great.
Hawker centre environnement is more relaxing compared with others that are clustered together. Giant Supermarket right behind which is very easy for the neighborhood.
Well if you are looking for smth different, "western" & handmade, highly recommend this place.
Hand-tossed/freshly stretched Pizzas, innovative/authentic-tasting western dishes, and good place for a beer or 2.
Downside, no air con & the prices here are not "hawker" standard.
But you get what you pay for, which is a very good deal!
Size. The food is good. The choices were wide and of very satisfying proportions. Sitting in open air yet feeling quite private and comfortable, we were able a pleasant evening. The only downer was the abominable service that overlooked orders and an untrained server who expected diners to serve themselves while they chatted and tried to guess who ordered what.
variety of food to choose from Japanese to Chinese and Western. Rating of at least 3.5 stars for each store. Went in early noon so not much crowd. They have bistro also which I think is more lively at night.
A nice neighborhood place to have fusion, Thai and drinks.
The place is really lively, with music, soccer screenings, pool and darts. It is also decorated really nicely with a rustic feel to it because of the decor that makes it look like an old coffee shop. There is a really wide selection of food here and most of them are really worth your money.
nice place with delicious food and affordable beer.
Worth a visit
Not your typical hawker centre
Nice hangout place for dinner on weekend
Especially the sour dough pizza and the stingray seafood stall.
The mala stall price range slightly expensive due to weight of food
Old school eating place with variety delicious food
Excellent food choices from Burgers, Pizzas to local favourites all under one roof. Apart from Halal burger joint Social Outcast a few Halal choices such as Spize, Enak Enak and Syed Indian also available in ground floor below market place. Two really good small pizza places also available. Have tried their cheese pizzas since they are do not serve Halal meats. Excellent crust.. mr kneady (sourdough base) and The Naughty Chef.
A great collection of variety of eateries there with excellent ambience. Too many good food to be mention here. Gotta be there to experience. Definitely a great place to chill and relax. (5 pax per table)
Went to the newly renovated Syed Cafe. Nice and cosy interior. Had the fish head curry. It tasted great and real value for money! Prata bom is one of the best I've tasted. Will be back for more!
Delicious burgers and interesting sides served by The Social Outcast. The new Japanese stall serves pretty good rice bowls. The gyozas were crispy yet juicy but too small and pricey for a plate of 5 pcs at the price of $8.80.
Food was good! Tried their pastas and burgers! Can’t wait to come back again to try out other food. Super yums! They have quite a bit of parking on a weekday night but heard it’s very crowded during the weekends.
Sports screening and beer is the best part of this market place.
Interesting hawker that have many unique stalls!
Nice place but got to wait quite sometimes for food. Naughty chef is way more faster. Keep it up the good work. 4 stars for the place. Missing 1 star for the wait.
This is for Syed restaurant(jln. chempaka kuning). Ordered prata and rojak mama. Prata did not disappoint us as usual the taste superb if eaten with dalca gravy. Sadly, the rojak mama is not up to the normal standard. The peanut gravy is very watery and the fried flour is not tasty nor look as if had been fried well. I would just give 3/10 for the rojak mama. Not worth buying rojak here. Very upset. Giving 4 star due to the amazing prata.
Spize is a great place to hangout with friends for a late night supper. Their Roti John special is a must try, worth the calories.
Another place i would recommend when you want to eat High SES food but don't have that much money I would recommend you to go burning oak. A good place to have a good quality Japanese food for a lower price.
There's a siesta period here...
Most stalls closed between 2.30-5pm...
Good food
variety, drinks(alcohol) price decent...
Those in the ‘hood need no further introduction. For those unfamiliar with this part of the East, the second level can be full of surprises.
The Naughty Chef: Pizzas, truffle fries, pasta, mushroom soup, items that we always ordered
Burning Oak: Its Japanese fusion bento sets worth your calories
Khao Thai: Phad See-Ew, Tom Yum Soup are our favourites
Korean (forgot its name, opposite Burning Oak): Tried the bibimbap on a couple of occasions; they never disappoint
Kingfu Mala: For those who found the 中辣 too spicy and 小辣 not spicy, try its 中辣 which is a sweet spot.
Ishiro: Decent Japanese fare for our first order
Others: Bah Chor Mee, Burgers / Western, Sourdough bread.
Come on to this level 2 “food centre”, there should be something that’s suitable for everyone.
Eastern singapore best halal makan place called simpang bedok although no putely malay cooking but there are fusion cooking available my favourite spot is tang tea house
Great place, u go a supermarket, very good and very wide variety of food available.
Even if need some work on yr car there tyre shops.
There are also 2 great barber shop for guys
Excellent atmosphere and amazing staff here! Plenty of menu/ drink options. I highly recommend visiting here if you have the chance. 😘
Good ribeye from chop chop and great bolw torch wagu from wow skewer bar. Nice atmosphere with lots of unusual choices of food and drink.
Great place for ale and chips. Try the wanton mee. Creamy soup. Good place for western food. Nice decor. No lift. Steps to second floor.
Had pork cheeks in a bowl with egg etc n i enjoyed it ...only comment is a wider bowl would be better so that i can actually see what i am eating.
was there for Mother's Day dinner and it was quite crowded. The Burning Oak is my current favourite stall; the wanton mee opposite it was pretty yummy too (classic wanton noodles).
Great service and watch out for the promos
Lovely food, great vibes.
Nice fusion good run by younger. Main patrons are young people. Food is good but abit expensive compare to normal FC
Nice place to get variety of food to suit different palate. Personal favourite is the BCM at the corner just by the entrance to the car park. BEST! 👍
A place you will like to eat and chill with beer but food wise not much choices as only have western, mookata, thai food and ma la.
Quite a hipster joint with many food stores
Mr kneady has good pizza. Wanton noodle house nearby (not in the hawker centre) is nice too
Mutton soup is the best but recently the taste slightly different.. Still one of my favorite place for mutton soup..
The best Nasi Goreng I've ever had. Had it almost every day with a glass of delicious orange juice!
We went for the satay bee hoon and we're rewarded for the long wait. Loads of satay sauce uheaped upon the noodles and sliced pork.
Food wise alot of choices but menu not stated clearly if spicy or not
Love this place. A hidden gem. A great local. Good range of food and drink.
This place is cool. Many tenants selling various kind of foods and drinks.
There is lots of good food... Especially Mr Kneady's
Not a bad place to go for dinner if you are tired of eating at the regular food court.
2 indian restaurants and thai restaurant, Chinese restaurants are there. There is a fair price shop and 7 eleven shop
Omakase burger still as good a I remembered it from turf city
Such a good place to eat, every food there
Alot good foods n environment clean..excellent
Nice hipster place. Omakase burger is tasty.
Great Variety! Beef is a must try at Burning Oak.
Only the woman Steward called people stupid...how a ???
Always crowded during weekend. Food are good...
The food is good it' clean people are friendly
Pretty disappointed that most of the stalls are closed by 9pm.
Good food and nice girls to watch...
Nice place to relax
Good
The food is good, the overall environment is good and the decoration is unique, especially the bathroom and the decorations are very special.
There are fashionable shops. I think it was originally a folk center, but the interior has been changed to create an atmosphere where young people can gather. The image is that it is a casual restaurant. I can't say it's cheap, but it's popular.
Kind of like a Pujasera or tent stall in Indonesia. A variety of culinary offerings are available. And most of the food is halal.
The menu is all jumbo. For those with small stomachs, just order the medium menu.
Hawker on the second floor of the supermarket. We also have skewers, Thai food, and seafood bowls. You can also drink beer and wine. It's a well-ventilated and comfortable place.
great! Lots of delicious food! Eel rice! Western food is delicious!
Lots of good food here!
P.s rem check individual stall reviews.
