Reviews of West Coast Food Centre
We passby West Coast Food Centre while heading over to our client place and decided to settle our lunch here after we are done.
Quite a number of stalls and we decided to go for the braised duck as this seems to be the most popular stall at our time of visit. Food taste good.
However, the hygiene level needs to be improved, as there were too many pigeons out of control.
Discover a newly open coffee stall in west coast market. Reasonable price and they used very cute cups for iced drinks. The coffee aroma is very good, which make my day. They also have other varieties like fresh milk coffee, coconut coffee and thai milk tea which is not commonly seen in hawker. Worth to give it a try.
New store at This place. Jin Sheng Noodles, cheap and tasty. Is only $2.20 for a bowl of noodles.
After 3 months, this shop is closed. So sad 😞
Fish soup. Very nice but price increased. This bowl cost $14. Added 2 sets of fish roe and meat ball.
Review for Hainanese curry rice here. The quality is average at best. Came here after reading the reviews and was sooo disappointed.
Everything is either cold or lukewarm. Pork cutlet, wu Xiang, vegetable and egg cost 6 dollar. Pork was small and hard. For this price I would rather buy from mix vegetable rice stall. Nothing fantastic about this stall.
Came with anticipation but left with regret. No more next time.
West Coast Food Centre is a true gem for food lovers in Singapore. This bustling hawker centre offers an incredible variety of delicious and affordable local dishes that never disappoint. One of my go-to stalls is the BBQ seafood stall. The Hokkien mee and satay stalls are also crowd favorites, consistently serving up flavorful and satisfying meals. Another highlight is the nasi lemak.
I don't know why I didn't take more pictures of this place. Last time I went, there was a live acoustic show going on. A very lively spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
Whether you're a local resident or just visiting the area, West Coast Food Centre is definitely worth a visit to check out the best seafood Singapore has to offer!
I like this neighborhood market. Some of the stalls were there for more than 30 years.
This hawker is near my school (NUS) so it’s rather convenient. It’s always clean and hawker workers are very helpful.
Food-wise recs:
- Braised Duck: Expect long queues, but not bad! I like the soup
- Hokkien Mee closer to the bus stop edge: Great Flavour, uses the thick white noodle as seen from pics. Chilli is good too
- Lee Soon (?) Fishball Noodle Stall closer to the busstop edge: Best fishballs I had in a while, extremely bouncy (QQ) and firm, not overcooked. Long queue tho
- Blue Dragonfly Pork Noodle (Bak Chor Mee) beside the Fishball noodles stall: Amazing and tender pork slices. They use fish balls from the stall beside them too so best of both worlds if u like bcm.
I love this place. There are a variety of food and drinks to keep you happy. There are lots of other shops to look around and the prices are really good.
A lot of food store but sadly is not all open in the late afternoon. Tried their kway chap and duck rice because of the queue. delicious! This hawker have great food but sadly is not near the mrt station
Many varieties of food. Reasonable price and delicious, spacious, clean, good dining environment. Convenient transportation. The "butterfly" in the photo seems not very attractive but the taste is very good. It is one of the cheapest in Clementi area -- only 90 cents each
Choices of Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great stop for local delicacies in the West!
Suitable for daily & weekly eating sessions with loved ones & friends.
Choices from Halal to non-Halal certified food choices available. Don't forget the old school desserts available here.
Expect crowds during peak hours including weekends.
If you're in the West, be sure to check it out!
Fishsoup and meatball is good! Although price is slightly pricey but its worth paying for.
Soup is tasty, fishslices is thick and fresh, handmade meat ball (add on) is good too
Comfort food to try out 😄
West coast market has a few stall that is worth to try out..the carrot cake.stall facing the main road, black carrot cake is good cos the uncle will fried till a bit crispy, but his standard differ depending on his mood..haha. the other stall is the vegetarian stall which is the first stall from the carpark facing the road. Tiong Bahru Fishball is good afternoon snack, but avoid their otah fish cake cos it is too spicy.
Reminds me of geylang serai eatery.only Malay stall are not as many choice as in geylang. Ok la for west residents
Tons of good food at a great value!
Spacious and well ventilated. A lot of stores but 70% -80% not opened on Sunday evening when I visited.
If you like the strong pepper taste in bak kut teh or pig liver and kidney mee sua, you can try this store Dong Dong.
This is both a wet market and a hawker centre.
It was officially opened 8 March 2009 after the hawker centres upgrading programme by SM of state for trade and Industry, MP for West Coast GRC, Mr S Iswaran.
The covid might had taken a toll here but the market has adapted. It even have a dedicated collection point for return of crockery. Of course, if you don't, you might get a fine when caught. Lol. Generally, with the SMM in place, hawker centres have become cleaner and better. Of course in coffee shops and restaurants as well.
Well, there are a wide varieties of food here. Most has been here since its opening.
I believed you should have seen the recommended dishes in the photos. Otherwise, look through it before you arrived.
My personal favorite is the Timing Bahru Fish ball stall. It sells a variety of fish ball, fish cake and other at reasonable price. (Used to be cheaper many years back but still affordable. )
What about yours?
Come down if you haven't.
After your meal, you can go shopping nearby. West cOast plaza, the neighbourhood shops (very nostalgic).
Car park can be a little challenging here. However, with a little patience, you will get your parking space. You can take a bus here, search for bus stop number 17041 ( block 726 Clementine West market)
If you drive, you should know that the west Coast park is nearby. Drop by West Coast park to have a day of fun here.
Alternatively, go the the stadium nearby for a fun and relaxing work out.
Enjoy and explore. Cheers!
A tyical food centre with good mix of hawker fares which are usually well patronised in the morning. Limited numbers of Malay and Indian food though.
Tables kinda dirty.
If u visit morning n sit nearby tray return shelf.Foul smell from food waste.Seem that night no cleaners clear after end of the day.
The worst hawker .
I love the vegetarian food and very convenient location
I would say , all the food and beverages are excellent.
Hope those , often goes there for meal. Can help to keep the table clean. The cleaners will be tired cleaning, so many tables and chairs.
Hope we can spare some thoughts for them.
West Coast Food Centre is quite a large hawker center at the south-western side of Singapore. It is just near the Blk 726 Clementi West Mkt bus stop.
It has quite a few stalls. I've tried from one stall selling Mee Hoon Kway, in a dry style. The seasoning was good and has some lard which makes it even more fragrant. The portion of the meat (sliced meat and minced meat) is also quite generous.
all the stalls located in the food centre are generally 👍, especially the fish ball noodle that next to the hong kong bakery stall and the malay stall facing bus stop. Cheap and delicious!
However the food centre environment need to be improved, also to educate customers practice the return tray habit.
Varieties of foods - Chinese & Muslim. Roti prata, Indian rojak, mee siam, prawn noodles, fish ball noodles, malay rice are good.
The rustic feel of the whole area is the real attraction - besides the lower prices and food vendors from one generation ago.
My family visits whenever we want a reprieve from WestCoast Plaza. Macdonalds or Clementi Mall. Sure, we will miss the Air-conditioning, the nostalgic charcoal fire chicken wings, satay, fried oyster omelette (or chien), bean curd, and 100% pure sugarcane juice will more than make up for it. The Zi-char stall next to the ostensibly "Newton Char Kway Teow," is another must try.
Western food, curry rice, fish soup, BKT, fish ball noodles, fried rice, are good. Can skip the one and only dessert stall.
Nice combination of food. Enjoyed Whampoa soya milk and beancurd as a starter, fried oyster egg, char siew rice and chicken chop for local delights, round all up with City satay. Wonderful hawker culture food. We have had a great meal despite almost half the hawker centre stalls closed when we visited during dinner time. Worth the trip
Good value for money at $3 and generous breakfast serving
The variety of local cooked food is amazing. Famous Ming Kee porridge and Hup Kee braised duck attracts the longest queues. Quite crowded as it is a Sunday morning. Super affordable. Secret tip: ask for meat in the curry for prata when order from the corner Indian Muslim stall.
Mum's childhood memory! It has that old school taste #iykyk
Great market for food like duck noodles, mee soto, fish soup n western food. Price itself reasonable except 1 stall it increase the price too much but the fish is fresh n tasty.
Many options here, although not many are opened at night
Fish soup and ban mian is what i get at night
For breakfast, i get tau huey, you tiao, fried carrot cake or longtong
Lunch, usually get the roasted meat rice, curry rice or chickcen rice
All in all, many choices available and a big airy space for seating
Have to pay ten cents to use the toilets, which i guess is fair
I like the green bean biscuit from Hong Kong chef. I had beancurd for dessert. My friend recommended porridge to me. The charcor chicken wing looks good. Bian mee, oster fried egg, dessert are all i kiv.
Love the MichaelJackson soya drinks and the local kueh from two elderly sister.
Great bak cho mee stalls... next to one another even.
Many nice food stalls. In particular, you need to try the fishball noodle (next to the bread stall). Make sure you locate the correct one as there are a few fishball noodle stalls.
Quite a few stalls I like here : Chinese la mian shop and zi char curry fish head and fried oyster s
A decent number of good food options here. the carrot cake (black) is tasty and value for money. Must try :/
Good variety of decent food. Maybe it depends on time of day but I went for sunday lunch and it wasnt too crowded so no trouble finding seats. Ample parking as well.
Serve normal Hawker food such as wanton noodles, fish ball noodles, chicken and Charlie rice, fried carrot cakes etc. Prices reasonable.
NEA should do more about the bird issue. I literally saw one pigeon flying over someone's head and then another one flying from table top to table top. Other than that, the hawker is pretty airy and accessible.
One of my favourite food center. Many variety of local foods. Very crowded during lunch peak and weekends.
Only vaccinated people can dine in. Many yyped of food, indian, malaya and chinese, bakery stall sellimg freshly baked cakes.
good food ... grear service ... just that during peak hours you 'll have issues in getting your seats ... 😅
Wide variety of food.
Duck rice is highly recommended although i have heard the fish soup is pretty good too
Super crowded in the morning but the yummy food took over the waiting and queuing fatigue 😂
A great variety of meals available, and a nice atmosphere
Most stalls are closed here in the evening around 6:30, barely 3-4 stalls open, tried Nasi goreng from Indian stall, was not good
Kway Chap, braised Duck, carrots cake are good. Most stalls close in the evening
A good variety of food choices. Prices are reasonable with quantity and quality.
Almost visit here every working day. Most of the stall owners were friendly.
delicious food
Pretty matured hawker center with couple of good tasty good stalls found.
Cheap food. Limited selection because it is shared with wet market which closes after afternoon
Lunch time pretty crowded food variety ok
Many food to eat ! Enjoy your day at BLK 726 West Coast Food Center !
Came for early lunch. Not so crowed at this time. Lots of variety.
lunch simple economy noodle with egg and luncheon meet.
Nice food there...😊
Not a great deal of variety anymore. Not as good as in the past. Many stalls closed early.
Lots of good and cheap food. Love the carrot cake here.
Spacious with lots of food choices. Just that the middle area is abit dark.
Usual hawker centre. Ventilation wasn't that good so it's rather stuffy. The place seriously needs upgrading.
Cheng Ting and fish ball noodle are very yummy.
Nice fish ball, fish soup, porridge, vegetarian noodles, fish ball noodles n etc
great food at affordable prices at great portion too!
Quite big Hawkers Centre with a lot of variety of foods to eat
Not many open stalls for dinner
This is hacker centre with multiple stalls
Yummy. Stall facing bus stop
Cheap but close too easily
Like the foods... A lot of choices
Fantastic place to eat
This is a lively hawker center with delicious food and reasonable prices. There are many delicious foods. Although it is on the west side, there is a seaside park nearby where you can relax and look at the seaside and enjoy a quiet time...
I stumbled upon this place by accident, it was lunch time, so I decided to make it on the spot. It tasted really good, the soup was flavorful enough, and my mouth didn’t get dry after eating. The braised pig’s feet were elastic enough, but the stall owner was worried they weren’t soft enough. I just like it. Another customer said he couldn't eat it if he didn't have teeth, so the lady boss joked and told him to eat pig skin😆
If you move away the pig's trotter rice, how will I live? ? ? ?
Prawn noodles (dry) are delicious
Douhua water, fairy grass water, and bean curd are also delicious
Oyster omelette is delicious
It's a bit disappointing that there aren't many restaurants open when I go there at night, but I'm thankful that I can eat a variety of cheap foods.
Many small shops taste good
The fish soup here is delicious, you have to wait in line
Good Indian Rojak stalls as well as Briyani 👍
Fortunately, you don’t have to pay to go to the mall restroom.
The food is good, you can go and eat it.
