Reviews of Spectra - A Light & Water Show
The lights and water fountain show set against the Singapore city scape is a must to be appreciated. It's free for the public. About 15 minutes long. Tonight we were also treated to a background of thunder and lightning provided by nature. The rain stopped briefly during the show duration as if the skies knew. It was an awesome experience.
Excellent given the price (free!). Just took one star off because there are no signs or indications warning you that you will get wet if you're too close and the wind toward you- which caused several people to flee the show hallway through. Also, the water screens used for the projected images aren't as good as the ones I've seen used in other places like Disneyland - but the lasers and lights were great. 15 minute show on each hour from 8:00pm-10:00pm. I walked right up at 8:00pm and had a pretty good spot. You can also see the show from the observation deck in the Skypark if you don't mind it being small.
Was never a fan of any light shows, but this could be the best one get. Expect great visual effects brought forth by holographic effects from water vapors reflections. Smooth, clean lighting animations, and many more to see.
Two showings every night at 8PM and 9PM in front of the Sands Shopping complex. Free of charge.
If you want the best spot (centre), you better get there 30 minutes in advance.
Incredible show, lasts about 15 minutes. May I suggest you dine at the shopping centre then make your way to the show. After the first display done, walk towards the Merlion statue. (around the CBD area, just look for shiny skyscrapers) Do what you need at the statue park then watch the 9PM show from distance, you will see all Sands buildings light up spectacularly.
The Spectra Light and Water Show at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is a highly acclaimed attraction. The show combines advanced lasers, fountain jets, and visual projectors to create a mesmerizing display of light, water, and music. The orchestral soundtrack adds to the immersive experience. It’s a free-to-public event, making it accessible to everyone. The best viewing spots are opposite the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Each show lasts about 15 minutes, making it a short but captivating experience.
Best free show against the best skyline, 15 mins, with dazzling light and water displays. Sound systems are good, with strong bass and inspiring music. I suggest not to busy yourself with holding up your handphone to record video. Sure, take a few photos and short videos. But do spend most of the time immersing yourself in the moment and simply enjoy it.
This show is incredible, and what is better is it's free. I have been to a light show like this that you have to pay for. It wasn't as good as this. The show was absolutely amazing, and I will definitely go again.
This is the best fountain show I've ever seen in my travels around the world. Highly recommended, a must see!
Amazing light show..must visit.. lasts for about 15 minutes . Its a free show. You can get a view from the skypark deck and below as well
Spectra - A Light & Water Show
Very impressed. Wow. Spectacular light and water show.
I’ve never seen anything like this. I’ve seen the Las Vegas water show at the Bellagio but this water show is different. It’s graceful and elegant. Pumping out to a good soundtrack.
There were many kids and adults at the show whom seemed bored waiting for the show, but once the show ended, everyone was excited and thrilled. Major mood changer.
Nice
Highly recommended
The light show was amazing and absolutely worth going. We were in the very front which got somewhat wet and was loud. We had earplugs and really appreciated them
A Spectacular Symphony of Light and Water
Spectra - A Light & Water Show at Marina Bay Sands is a dazzling display of artistry and technology that shouldn't be missed when visiting Singapore. Here's why I loved it:
Visual Extravaganza: The combination of water fountains, lasers, projections, and music creates a truly mesmerizing spectacle.
Storytelling through Technology: The show tells a moving story about Singapore's journey, seamlessly blending visuals and music.
Stunning Backdrop: The Marina Bay Sands skyline provides the perfect backdrop for this dramatic show.
Free and Accessible: Spectra is a free show, running multiple times per evening, making it accessible to everyone.
Great Viewing Spots: There are ample spots along the waterfront to get a good view of the show.
Overall impression: Spectra provides a captivating and memorable experience that perfectly complements a visit to Marina Bay Sands. I highly recommend it!
What an amazing light and sound show - complimented with fantastic music - a must see whilst in Singapore
I have never seen such a beautiful Water show ever..!!! Really fabulous with vibe of Sky crackers end.. That made my day.. Actually I visited there for Marina Bay sands and shopped some stuffs then enjoyed this water show... Actually I didn't know about this but catch up on peoples gathering!! That makes us really excited... Colourful and Real time eater..😃
Showtime:Sun – Thu: 8pm & 9pm
Fri & Sat: 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
Location
Event Plaza
Nice show, worth spending time if you're nearby, not so crowded on weekdays.
Good to watch from Merlion park.
Starts around 7:30 and enjoyed the light show.
You could find lots of restaurant nearby.
Impressive water show in Singapore! Every day between 8 and 10 and free of charge!
The light & water show amidst the backdrop of the tall buildings makes one nostalgic. Especially if you grew up and saw the changes along the river. the song adds on the emotions, a perfect blend of Chinese and Malay instruments. The haunting voice of the singer makes you wish peace for Singapore forever.

Immersive, sense-shaking, mesmerizing show enjoyed right in front of the city’s most iconic building and shopping centre. So fabulous.
Amazing! Really worthy to see it and get in the mood for Christmas. I really liked the part with the dinosaurs it was very realistic.
Unfortunately you should pay 17 Singapore dollars to see it and you should book it online so it takes some time and I had to use my credit card on the road.
The security was very annoying they didn't let me keep my souvenirs from Thailand with me.
The very beautiful water dance show, combined with the night view of the Marina Bay buildings, is worthy of a five-star feast.
This is beautiful!!!
I visited on Sunday and definitely made sure I was sitting in the front row centre. There was definite water spray which was expected during the show, but otherwise the unbarred view was completely worth it... I could actually sit and watch this more than once, pity I went there on the last night in Singapore.
Nice but it's nothing compared to the show at Xinghai square of Dalian.
Loved this light show. We got a spot to sit down looking out over the water near the Louis Vuitton Building, we thought it was a good place to watch it! The backdrop of the skyscrapers with the lights and fountain combined is a stunning spectacle. I'd probably recommend coming here 30 mins before it starts to get a spot near the front, but I'd imagine it would still be nice from a bit further back as the first few rows of people remained sitting down so your view should be relatively unobstructed. Just a warning, we did get a bit wet sitting right up the front but we didn't really mind!
If you have time, come down at 7pm for the 8pm show and you will get to see some amazing colours of sunset (see 3rd pic)
Beautiful marine fountain show..Beautiful fountain show held at 8 and 9 PM..View from the upper deck..If you view from the lower deck, you won’t be able to see everything at a glance. It's right there if you go through the door leading outside of the Gucci store.
We saw this from the opposite side of spectra. View was not clear much. So to get the clear view, visit shoppes mall and go to spectra.
Super nice, free, everyday at 8pm and 9 pm
Good action and very nice show
Expected to be wowed but wasn't, however it was a nice experience if you're in the area at the time of the show. The one at the gardens by the bay is better.
15-minute show, for free. Visitors should pass by here and enjoy the show.
Forgot about this light show and it's such a Pleasant Surprise to end the Sunday after Observation Deck!!!!
How to get here by MRT: Stop at MRT bayfront, go to the Shoppes mall, and take the exit that headed to Louis Vuitton. You can watch the show from the deck area.
I came here on Monday evening to watch the 9pm light show. There were some people but not that extremely packed, probably cause it was raining.
There was a special light & water show (The Eras tour). The admission was free but needed to pre-registered if I was not mistaken. However, I and so many people that didn't register still able to see, just from different spots.
This was the best light and water show I have seen in my whole life. There are no entrance fees. It was an absolutely breath-taking experience. It was even better than the dancing fountaine in Dubai. It was just WOW. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I highly recommend to everyone, you will not regret !
Very nice and vibrant show. Enjoyed it.
One request, can something be done for seats for seniors while they wait ?Thank you
Beautiful colorful light show. Arrive early for the best view.
Really awesome! A nice long show with very nice water effects and video elements within the water. Music was great with show as well. Directions on Google maps are not clear which takes you to the far end of where the show is. Follow Google maps but continue walking towards where the mall entrance is which would be more central to the show..
OMG!! Words can not describe this show , which is free of charge. Come early, sit or stand in front, enjoy the Singapore skyline, and then watch the laser show. No tickets are required.
It’s really a impressive water show.
It’s worthy that come and enjoy the show after shopping in the Marina Bay Sands mall.
Great music and light show. Can see from both sides. Best from Marina Bay side.
Good show but as most things in Singapore it's oversold... The expectations are higher than the result. Still a good free activity to do in Singapore
Unmissable! The Spectra Light and Water Show near Marina Bay Sands is a MUST-WATCH attraction in Singapore! This mesmerizing 15-minute display of water, light, and music is absolutely free.
Awesome place of water & Light show. 15 minutes for the show. You should come here to relax and it's free
Beautiful laser light show, must watch while visiting Singapore, it's at 8 and 9 PM daily for 15 mins each.
The view to the MBS Light show from “Lavo”. Absolutely worth watching it from this perspective.
Starts daily at 8 pm and 9 pm.
Lasts for about 10 mins! Enjoy 😻

Gosh what a bore.
I feel that it was such a restrained performance as if afraid to pull out all the stops.
Saw many people walking off within 5-6 minutes of the show.
It's for sure a magnificent water and music show.
If you have visited the town you should watch it at least once.
A must see performance when you visit Singapore. I used to live there and everytime family/friends came to visit me I would always bring them here to watch the show. Its free plus its close to Marina Bay where you can dine and shop.
15 minute show. Contrary to the hoards of crowds waiting by the pier to get front row views of the light show, I’d recommend stepping back to enjoy it in its entirety - better to watch from either the MBS entrance (Chanel side) or from across MBS.
Singapore's transportation is the best, everything is integrated, getting here is very easy, just download the City Mapper application, going anywhere will be easy.
Amazing water and music show for free twice a day. Great to bring your kids too. I watched it from above the marina tower and in the front too.
Nice way to spend your evening. Beautiful music and atmospheric show
You’ll also get amazing city view from here
The water and light presentation is marvelous. During week days, it performs at 20:00 and 21:00. The show lasted around 15 minutes. Every one will definitely enjoy the shows, especially for the children
Great show and completely free. Get there early to get a good spot as it can get busy.
Absolutely gorgeous and stunning, it’s free and it’s daily available. If you are staying at Marina Bay Sands Hotel or passing by you should not miss it!
Highly recommended!!!
Music is WAY TOO LOUD. Stay far back if you want to protect your ears! The show also isn’t amazing. Definitely go to Gardens By the Bay show if you only can watch one!
Wonderful place with luxury brand, great water lighting spectacle
very nice show!! even in the weekend there is alot of space to enjoy
Very nice show at night.. Watching water dancing in cooling night..
A very entertaining water and light show. It extends to a full 15 minute show. We went there around 7:30 pm. The first show started at 8:00 pm.
Previously, I watched Light and Water shows in many cities of the world. But, none of them were as splendid as Singapore.
Also, at night, the face of Singapore is changing, and the city's buildings are transformed into a completely different beauty.
Very pretty and enjoyable experience.. with a hint of bay mist lol
Amazing light show, don’t forget to watch while visiting Singapore. The show is for 15 mins 8:00 pm - 8:15 & 9:00 pm - 9:15 pm on weekdays
Excellent ambience, waterfront comes alive at 8pm & 9pm with fantastic laser-show. Oriental & classical English music electrifies the surroundings. Marina mall with luxurious trappings transport you to a Hollywood movie set!
Must watch show in Singapore!
Great music with led light shows coming from "the ship" mbs...with smoke and dancing fountian lasting for about 5-10mins. Enjoyed it with my overseas friends.
Best show across the globe.....
Went to see twice😍
The spectra light show to be watched from marina bay sands and not by merlion park.
Marina Bay Water Show performance landmark
🎫Free to watch, no tickets or reservation required
You need to block your own position, and the viewing in the middle of the performance is relatively complete, so that you can see the projected patterns or text, and the images cannot be seen on the two sides.
⭕️Water dance time
Sunday to Thursday: 20:00, 21:00
Friday and Saturday: 20:00, 21:00, 22:00
🔹A performance lasts about 15 minutes
The viewing area is large, but there are many people. The first row is full of people. European and American people are quite tall. If you are not tall enough, you will be easily blocked.
There are two levels of viewing platforms (as shown in the video)
⭕️Other reminders
Supertree Grove performance 19:45, 20:45
💡If you want to go after watching Water Dance, it is always recommended to go through the passage behind the Sands Hotel. If you want to go along the coast, it will be farther. (But there are so many people on the overpass that you have to queue up for the elevator)
Since it is free, it seems okay. The paid water dance in Sentosa is more beautiful, with fireworks and exclusive seats.
Spectra - A Light & Water Show
Show in front of Marina Bay Sands
It will be held!
The hours are from 20:00 and 21:00.
It's 15 minutes.
With the beautiful night view of Singapore in the background,
Entertainment of sound and light
It was wonderful.
The fountain performance was also wonderful.
I watched the show starting at 9pm.
It's worth a look. The fountain show takes about 15 minutes, but it's worth seeing.
I went there about 15 minutes ago, and since it was Sunday, there were a lot of people. The front row was full. The best location is near where something like a round ridge stands.
Everyone is taking photos and videos, so if you're in the back, the people in front of you may get in the way and make it difficult to watch.
There was a 15-minute fountain show at 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm, which I watched.
The art of sound and light created a very powerful and fantastic atmosphere.
The children were also watching intently.
It only takes 15 minutes, so you can feel free to stop by.
Since it's a fountain show in Singapore, I expected it to be extravagant, but it was surprisingly subdued.
However, I was glad that I was able to enjoy the night view of Singapore.
Exciting show. The first evening with a view from above during the visit to Marina Bay Sands and the following evening with a view from the shore. Beautiful in both cases. Not to be missed…
