Reviews of Victoria Concert Hall
Just able to see the outside part because it was closed in the middle of the day. Great architecture and clean surroundings.
Hey dude, if you are willing to see and/or are interested in the singapore symphony orchestra, this is a must visit place. It is rich in history and nostalgia.
You can recognize at once that it is elegant and beautiful, and this historical place has been very well maintained. Further, you can stroll along as a visiter. There is a ticket office on the 1st floor(for U.K. ground floor).
For your information, don't forget to download your e-ticket in advance. On my personal note, singapore people were lucky to have this historical concert hall and theater. Enjoy.
This concert hall is absolutely stunning!! My students performed there with excitement and enthusiasm. The best concert hall in Singapore!!
Beautiful place with a nice cafe. This place houses the clock tower with a very interesting past. The architecture comes from the colonial past, and recently refurbished and still looks as stunning now. Beautiful!
Victoria Concert Hall brings back a lot of fond memories of music concerts.
It's the favourite place to hold band concerts when I was young.
Sir Stamford Raffles Statue is found here as Raffles is believed to have landed in 1819.
The special lightings are being shown in August 2021 to celebrate our National Day.

Came for the very last Wild Rice performance a Christmas Carol and it sure didn't disappoint. Great venue for shows and performances, with wonderful acoustics and comfortable seating. Facilities are wonderful and will definitely be back.
The architecture was beautiful. there is a statue in front of thr building. There is also a park around, its very beautiful with some greenery there. Ive never been inside, but the outside was perfect. There is so many spot to take pictures outside, dont forget to come here whene you visit Singapore
I love this place giving me a full of inspiration and energy. The place is classic and modern at the same time, the best place for enjoying art.
VCH nicely transformed with the extra lifts installed in place of the staircases. Definitely a welcome for all our seniors who may require the lifts. The upper foyer has a history area which serves as a great reminder to record the transformation tt has taken to our heritage VCH.
This is my first time to a symphony concert. It was a very nice experience. The hall is beautiful and very much complemented the orchestra's performance.
it would be nice if the vending machines take digital payment, esp during the short recess of just 20 mins
Truly a fabulous experience, as I am captivated by both the magnificent concert hall and the talented SSO team who brilliantly weaved the classical pieces into beautiful concerto.
A magnificent and rich history building, or rather 3 buildings. 2nd oldest building in Singapore.
Unbelievable experience!! First time going to an iconic theatre and watching my daughter's performance. A proud parent...
Really nice place to visit this theatre. Lovely building. It was Nice to be able to attend of of the performances there.
Acoustics not remarkable but that's probably due to the antique structure limiting what they could put into the music hall.
Seats were comfortable and view of stage from circle seats were not blocked sue to steepness of the seats placement.
Lovely theatre and concert hall. Well equipped and a pleasure to visit.
I love Victoria concert hall I visited it 3 weeks ago for a piano concert and it was breathtaking ✨ Love it.
Where most of Singapore's classical concerts and plays are performed. Tickets are usually available via third-party online providers. The concert hall is beautifully decorated and have wonderful acoustics. Usually you can find flyers at the ground level to see the upcoming events.
Good for profile pictures too because of the architecture :)
Beautifully restored. Day or night it's a great photo stop or even attend performances here.
Went to see Macbeth last weekend. It was an enjoyable experience.
Recently watched theatre here.. =) the view from the center of upper level seat was moderate, sound system was moderate as actors sounded clearr. Enjoyed!
Very beautiful interior and exterior architecture. Extremely classy with a modern touch
Still the good old concert hall. Love it!
Air conditioning is not that strong but ither than that, most are fine
Amazing venue for concerts. Really had a great time!
Nice place
- Enjoyed it, not alot of leg room.
Great experience, good atmosphere, excellent and comfortable theatre.
Wonderful performing arts venue and a credible performance of dialogues of the Carmelites by a new company. Enjoyed it especially the famous last scene.
Good acoustics for soloist and small ensembles. However, somewhat prohibitive concert renting fee.
Restored classical building. Have a iconic sir Stamford statue and glass roof. Nice hall for medium size performance
I don't understand why SSO has moved it's home to VCH from Esplanade because VCH is a less than ideal venue. It was not designed for a full orchestra as the sound is too much, especially if the brass section is giving it's full strength. VCH can likely accommodate a chamber orchestra nicely.
Moreover, it is very handicap unfriendly as there are many steps to climb. Although there is a lift, you will still need to go up and down steps before you can get in the concert hall to be seated. I had the unpleasant situation of trying to find a restroom during intermission and had to climb 3 flights of stairs down to B1. Older folks will certainly need to take a few pauses along the way.
Lastly there is no public parking underneath and the nearest Parliament House parking is a 5 min walk that if the evening is a rainy one, some concertgoers would have to do their sprints in their high heels.
Nice concert hall. Enjoy the sound and the cozy, elegant atmosphere. It very close to Singapore. There s quite a number of beautiful buildings in this area. Lovely to take a stroll after n before concert. Day time, there's a few uncle/ aunty ice cream on trishaws, at very reasonable price. Can visit the Asian civilisation museum a few mins away.
Very nice hall for musical.
Beautifully restored heritage concert hall with German pipe organ. Watch out for the free lunchtime concerts, a treat for the culture-starved!
What a beautiful building! When you tired you can also sit down at the field in front of this building. :)
Went for Mozart's Opera here. Was a great experience and place.
Amazing theatre. Renovated to be ultra modern but still keeps all it old world nostalgic charm.
The concert hall maintains a good balance of artistic expression and practicality. The hall itself is homey yet maintains good acoustic qualities perfect for classical concerts and other performances.
The building itself is beautiful but in my opinion, a little hard to get around.
Overall, a nice concert hall with a lot of history
Historical venue that you can experience by watching a performance by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. We caught Schubert's 'The Trout and the Trio', which was performed excellently but mostly surprised us because it's the tune played by Samsung washing machines after a laundry load is completed. Now we know! Great acoustics, too. Recommended!
Very elegant, understated concert hall with good acoustics. Was a pleasure to hear the SSO with a Rachmaninov/Mendelssohn program.
Extremely beautiful concert hall, especially when they decorate the hall full of battery operated candles, instantly uplifted the atmosphere and the ambience of the hall. First time watching a live Jazz performance in the form of a concert and enjoyed it fully!
Lovely place. Way better ambient and acoustics compared to Star Vista. Classy all the way through.
That place is has the worst acoustics every.
Very good vibe and environment
Attended candle light concert here. Good experience!
Went to see the symphony and plays, both spaces are great for kids and adults. The central lobby can get a little packed before and after a show but otherwise a nice space.
My partner and I just caught a Candlelight Jazz concert here and the performance was stellar, but what made the experience truly unique and memorable was the delightful venue, both staff and ambience. I'm stoked to be back for the next one!
Stunningly beautiful, iconic, historical architecture of Singapore.
Very friendly and impressive Conductor, Mr. Jason Lai. And always want to share his knowledge to the audience and the next young generation.
Mr. Ng Pei Sian, we are also his fans. Spectacular performance with Mr. Yo Yo Ma.
Looking forward for another great collaboration with international musicians.
This theatre has excellent acoustics. I was here for my niece’s choir and the acoustics were excellent. Seats were comfortable.
It's a nice place even if it's just outside because I don't go inside, it's nice to go here on weekdays because it's not crowded.
It's a beautiful cozy place to enjoy a cultured evening with friends and family
Beautiful architecture, cheerful ushers, fantastic concert - had a great experience
Wonderful theatre. Would gladly go watch another performance here.
Victoria Concert Hall is a historical and architectural landmark in Singapore. The building is beautiful and suitable for taking pictures.
Victoria House is the most prominent ancient structure in the colonial period. In the middle is the clock tower, next to the two main buildings. Initially, it was the main building. The opera house was only an auxiliary building. Later, Queen Victoria passed away. To commemorate the queen, they rebuilt it and named it Victoria. It includes the main house on both sides. In the middle is the tower car of the lake. From then on, the towa.Hall was replaced by the Theater. Victoria... is a top tourist destination when visitors come to this lion island nation
For those of you who like landscape/architectural photography, you will definitely like this place. Very photogenic for taking photos and of course very clean. Of course, you have to be smart when looking for angels because it's quite busy, especially when it starts to get late in the afternoon.
Victoria Theater and Queen Square at night,
There are my favorite theatres, art halls and beautiful eating places.
It is a place that combines entertainment, leisure and art.
I passed by here for a visit and found the local specialty bread sandwiched with ice cream on the lawn in front of the lobby.
I went there at night to take a video of the very beautiful 19th century architecture.
