Today, I came here just to see around and check out their items, very cool guitars, electric drums, speakers and many more, as I walk around, I was approached by a friendly staff who tells us more about the place and their stuff and he told us that they even have a cafe deeper inside, so we went and try one of their chocolate drink, it was awesome, very peaceful vibes perfect for those studying or to have a chit chat. I parked my vehicle at the basement 3, spent about 2 hours+ charges bout $3+. So yeah it's inside star vista and this place have all the eatries to offer.

Fantastic place to do your music instrument shopping. All the staffs were warm and friendly, especially Erik, who gave very helpful advice on choosing my first guitar. Made the entire guitar buying experience wonderful! 🤘🏼 Swee Lee must be doing something right, went to the outlet at Clarke quay and the staffs there were also very helpful and friendly. It’s not bad. My son who just turned three is crazy about musical instruments. He was running around visibly excited about all the guitars. Some of the staff were welcoming to his curiosity. Of course I did manage him to ensure nothing was damaged. I think if more places were to understand that these children are future customers, and welcome their curiosity it may go a long way to sustain their business. Nevertheless, I think my son thought Swee Lee was Disneyland.

Crowded as usual with this lifestyle concept shop similar to the one in Clarke Quay. Was served by Erik, who did an awesome job introducing the range of guitars suitable for my son. He noticed the din when we were testing the guitars and brought us to the enclosed room where we could hear the strings more accurately. He even checked the units that were available but not on display to allow us a more in-depth comparison. We walked away after an hour with a great buy for the Taloy 114 Grand Auditorium. Erik may be soft-spoken, but he sures packed a great service grandeur!

The place that I go to for music and guitars supplies. I’ve been supporting this shop since it was located at peninsula plaza. Very old and reliable brand name in Singapore. A wide range of guitars and musical instruments available for sale for all kinds of budget. Staff was ok, and they allow you to walk around and “shop” yourself. Prices I thought was ok, not too expensive. They do have an online store as well but i would usually visit since it’s close to my house.

Bought the Taylor 114ce Special Edition Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar from this outlet. Taylor's guitar is no doubt in playability and meet all the expectations, but what suprise me in this whole purchase is the sales person from Swee Lee, Martin Wong. He meticulously handle all questions that I've posted to him regarding this guitar. Not only he shows great attention to my enquiries, he shows great sincerity to his customer. He even unpack the guitar before hand (with me permission granted prior to collection) to ensure all is good. To me, product quality is crucial but the altitude of the sales person wins everything. I went in to the store to enquire about a couple of electric guitars that I am interested in. The staff were very friendly, and I would like to make a special mention to Mr. Faris, who was especially helpful and patient. Very cool. They had Gibson guitars for display and I got to play a 1959 Les Paul standard. Im lowkey kinda sad about the displayed selection as they all seem to be either fender, Ibanez, or PRS, and there were only two Jackson guitars on display

I brought my husband over to shop for a guitar as he is starting to learn, so we have absolutely very weak knowledge regarding guitars. We were greeted by Qai at the door when we first stepped into the shop. My husband tried on many guitars and was still contemplating about which guitar to get. Throughout the 1.5hrs of shopping around, Qai was extremely patient. I saw a guitalele and decided to buy it to try as it was so cute! Yes I bought it based purely on looks. When we got home we realised that the instrument was not very suitable for beginner learners as the chords are very different. Hence we decide to return it and exchange for store credits. Matt and Qai were extremely helpful throughout the refund process. During this trip, my husband was quite sure what brand of guitar he would like to get. However, there were really too many models to choose from. He tried almost everything ranging from $500-$1200 with and without the electronic plugin. Qai also kindly lent us the Fender Amp to try out the plug in to see how they sound. This time we took about 2hrs and Qai was never pushy throughout the whole time. He gave us the space and time to think and yet is always nearby for us to ask questions. As we are not that good at playing the instrument, we asked if he could show us what the capabilities of the instruments and he kindly obliged. Thanks for giving us a personal concert! He really made us feel at home in this shop. Thanks Qai and Swee Lee. We finally chose the right guitar for this season of our life and can't wait to start playing it.

Drinks taste great! We had their matcha latte and honey citron tea. The matcha latte (I think had some added sugar inside) was sweeter than usual, but not overly sweet. The ratio was just perfect. And it was warm / hot, which made it all the better. Honey citron tea had enough yuzu thing and was flavourful. The two drinks we had here was really good. They have some power plugs if you want to work, though the ambience doesn't really support that. Overall, great drinks and decent service.

A decent place and interesting concept to mix music instruments with a cafe. Very little seating area. Too many pple camping there like Starbucks. Couldn't find the "Y" candle on sale!! Overall pricing of instruments are slightly higher by 10-20%. Ukelele cost above 300 when I last checked.

Swee Lee @ The Star Vista is one of the very few "bigger" guitar place around the western region of S'pore. Have nice range of guitars, accessories, turntable, vinyl discs and even a cafe. There is also a studio here.

Sweet Lee has reinvented itself from the yesteryears for selling guitars and school band instruments, to being a go-to place for wannabe rockers and now a lifestyle entity. It's transformation is what sustains it and brings a previously archaic business to the next era. I had coffee there, something I had delayed for some time. The latte was good but hand drip coffee was not available although I saw some good beans at the counter. Worth a visit!

I was introduced to Aryadni by a friend. Our whole interaction was only via Whatsapp but she answered all my queries about the bass guitar I was looking for, Ibanez AFB200, with great detail and attentiveness. She was really kind to take as many photos and videos of the bass for me as I have requested to since I wasn't able to make a trip down to the shop physically. She never once showed any unwillingness and even replied to my Whatsapp messages till late at night. She went out of her way to find and recommend me casing that suits my needs. Found the variety of instruments very nice and wide. Appreciated the fact that the staff allowed me to freely try out their guitars, and they have seats so you can play comfortably, although common sense would tell you not to play extremely loudly, and to be careful when handling the guitars. When going to make my purchase the staff was very helpful with packing my items and was very welcoming, making the purchase very quick and easy. Despite my unfocussed search I never felt pushed, and just got educated on wood choices, setup, playing style etc... Had a really positive experience here at swee lee bv! I came in to restring my acoustic guitar. They told me that I had to check in my guitar as they don't do restringing on weekends but were still willing to teach me how to when I said I didn't know how. Faizal taught me step by step, gave tips to take care of my guitar and even helped to fix my warped guitar neck at no cost.
