Reviews of 132 Claypot Rice
Great place to get your claypot rice cravings fix. Claypot rice are make on the spot upon ordering, waiting time 10-15mins. Piping hot when serve. $6 chicken claypot comes with few slices of sausage, green vegetables, spoonful of salted fish and 5 to 6 cubes of chicken tight meat. The rice was really fragrant and cooked to the right texture. The burnt rice can be scraped off and give the extra crispy texture. Overall, a dish to savour till the last grain of rice. Not to mention the vinegar chilli gives it an extra kick to the dish.

Looked like no queue but actually one is given a beeping device. A few orders before ours.
We ordered one claypot for 2 pax at $10. The one person claypot priced at $6.
It’s quite generous for 2, the portion. Chicken is tasty. Mixture of rice, chicken, sausage and a bit of dried salted fish.
For those who love the grilled rice, one could literally scrape off the “burnt” rice at the bottom of the pot.
The stall closes at 9pm.
Claypot Chicken Rice. An acquired taste dish for me or it could just be that I have never really had good ones growing up. While its not considered fast in terms of comparing with other hawker food serving speed, but you know this is worth the wait.
Taste-wise, Ok. Be prepared to wait a good 20mins for your food.
Claypot rice 1pax (7/10)
Imagine a very simple bowl of white, fluffy rice with chicken chunks, chinese sausage, salted fish, green leafy vegetables (kailan) topped with sweet black sauce. There is quite a fair bit of chicken which is tender and juicy. Remember to mix up the salted fish for extra flavour.
While there is nothing terrible about this dish, it wouldn’t satisfy your claypot rice cravings if you are looking for the crispy burnt bits of charred rice, and smoky fragrance.
Been on a claypot hunt lately.. so I'm a tad critical. Ok, I'll not drive a long way for this. For a claypot rice, it's doesn't even have 锅巴. The lack of heat and thus the smoky element is missing, the rice is under flavoured for my liking despite adding a lot my dark soy sauce myself. Chicken is tender, well cooked, but could be a bit more savoury.
Order in advance.
Tender chicken and very flavourful mix of sauce, ingredients and topped off with very delicious chilli sauce.
Packed Claypot rice for dinner. Cooked from scratch. Served with generous portion of chicken, lap cheong, mushrooms, etc. big portion for $6.
The best claypot rice I have tasted. Every grain of rice are armoured with the umami of chicken essence, salted fish and Chinese sausage, with crispy rice bits in every bite.
They are not hype like other establishments that I have tried but the best in my opinion. It's the type of food that I will crave for at least once a week 😋
Simple yet good food.
Tried their stall for first time and was indeed surprised with the taste and texture. The rice was fluffy, not oily at all with enough of the black soy sauce. Generous amount of chicken meat, chinese sausages and leafy vegetables. But personally would like abit more of the salted fish but still sufficient to bring out the fragrance. Price is quite reasonable compared to the usual stalls that i frequent elsewhere. If in a hurry, best to call to pre order. From FB page 96178996
The chicken is tender, the rice has a strong taste of salted fish and just perfectly cooked, not burnt.
It’s cooked à la minute, so be prepared for at least an 1/2 hour, most times 45-min, from ordering to when your buzzer rings that food is ready.
So, unless you have the patience, it’s not for those in a hurry
Long wait, but have number system.
Its worth the wait. The burnt rice sums just right, with the salted fish, taste awesome!
Generous serving & great taste. Personally, the claypot rice taste so much better with the store's special chilli sauce..
Lovely claypot rice! Deliciously crispy at the bottom.
Very traditional tasting Claypot Rice. Reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Good Claypot rice in the east. Many other good selection in old airport Market. Ample parking.
Popular claypot rice, usually sees a queue and average 15 minutes waiting time based on my experience.
Nice Claypot rice. What's missing is the charcoal flavour.
One of the best around and Price is very reasonable !! Been patronizing for years …
Absolutely stunning and delicious Claypot rice!
Waited for 30 mins. Everything is fine, sauce could be better
Worth the wait!
