Reviews of Cheeky Bee Hoon 麒记米粉
Is a food court, aircon.
Food really is very good, and unique of its kind, one and only.
The soup is very nice, and very nice seafood taste with a charcoal after taste. (Maybe is cooked by claypot)
The dry braised pork belly bee hoon is so chewy and qq. The sauce is very tasty, just right to the point. Not over salty. Used good quality soy sauce.
The braised pork belly, melt in your mouth. This is a must try, no regret.
The broth is complex and unique, hearty flavourful and milky too. Even the beehoon used is different and has a good bite. Dried beehoon is good too, similar to pig trotter beehoon. I’d pick the soup version if I had to choose. We had this delivered and it’s one of the best finds in awhile.
Love that this was something very unique, not like the usual food court/hawker fare. The broth was thick and tasty, but too salty for me.
The texture of the bee hoon in the braised pork version was great. The one in the soup version didn't stand out.
Pro tip: do grab the small greenish condiment - it's a mixture of pickled veg with ginger and goes nicely with the noodles!
Nested in the Koufu KPT and 1st time trying.
Had the dry version :
Springy bee hoon
Smoky dark sauce
Loads of fried onion and pork lard that gives the dish a good texture
Very flavorful soup
Really liked the green zesty sauce that helps to cut thru all the heavy power flavours
I think there’s gong tao in their food! 😂 Every week, I’d crave to return to have this bowl of cheeky bee hoon goodness! Love to add their green chilli condiment to the dry bee hoon for an extra tang. I’m a fan of their bak kut teh-ish soup as well; sometimes I’d even ask for an 2nd bowl! 😋
Wow ! This is a wow bee hoon soup. I seldom give a wow rating but this signature M5 bee hoon soup is not the typical bee hoon soup. The soup base is very tasty with a unique delicious taste, not salty, the meat balls and sliced lean pork are very tender and juicy, the bee hoon is cooked to perfection, not soo soft / hard. The lala is fresh and the vege is crispy. The Lard is OMG 👍👍👍 the green color dipping is very unique, it is not spicy but full of spiced flavour with peanut. This is a MUST try bee hoon 👍👍👍😊😊😊. The pork belly side dish is good too!
Really delicious! Every mouthful was just yums! Their broth was robust, full of that wok hei unami essence. The handmade noodles in their signature bowl was smooth and paired really well with the loads of ingredients. Their dried version was also perfectly al dente with tender pork belly tossed in a rich mixture of sweet and spicy sauce. Even their unassuming side of stir fried cabbage was amazing, sprinkled with chunks of pork lard and crispy fried shallots. Will definitely come back for more.
One thing to note is that this stall is located within the food court. We walked around the mall twice looking for it only to realise it’s inside Koufu.
First time trying this. The brightest star in the firmament is the soup, it's just so deep in flavour and umamilicous, can die lor. The bee hoon looks exactly like egg noodles but without the typical eggy taste and is somehow extra QQ even towards the end of the meal.
Overal a strong 8/10. We will definitely be back 😋
The bee hoon is unique but not spectacular and the otah you tiao is very dry and hard. (Looks like those instant ones and heat up using air fryer? The broth is thick and fragrant but quite salty. More suitable for those that have a heavier taste or to the saltier side. Would be better if the soup is less peppery and less saltier to cater to young children. My 8 yodaughter couldn't take the bee hoon soup as it's a bit spicy despite the cook telling me that it's non-spicy
Tired them out once at the Singapore Food Festival and fell in love with the rich but not too heavy soup. Who knew the next day I saw a opening soon sign at the foodcourt at Thomson Plaza of Cheeky Bee Hoon and was super excited for them to open. It’s now my must have whenever I’m at Thomson plaza!
Decided to give this stall a try after reading the reviews. Quite a decent bowl of hearty bee hoon that you could have occasionally.
The hot and slightly herbal soup certainly brought warmth to the stomach. The pepper gave the hint of spiciness to the soup. The bee hoon was firmer than the usual, adequately soaked in the soup while maintained its firmness. The minced and sliced pork were mildly marinated if any. The green sauce had the Thai feel but I couldn't pinpoint to properly describe it.
Stall owner was polite and helpful. Soup was tasty. Clams were very fresh. Bee hoon was fragrant
Most delicious bee hoon, more like thin noodles which absorbed the flavors well. Soup is one of a kind, so shook!
Had the lala soup beehoon. Ingredients are very fresh but I found the soup too herby and complex. It had a smoked taste. Not bad but likely won’t eat again.
Had the Cheeky Signature Beehoon. Love it. The broth was tasty but not overwhelming. Unlike some broth that sicken you after too much consumed. The claims were fresh. Beehoon nicely cooked. Will try other dishes next time. Food court atmosphere so 3 stars because nothing fantastic or terribly wrong with that.
This food stall is located in the food court @ Thomson Plaza.
The main dish served is the bee hoon (rice noodle) version of local favourite minced pork noodle.
We love the texture of the bee hoon, the tenderness of the sliced pork and the shiokness of the pork lard! The accompanying soup was also very
Fantastic food, great service, seaweed bases soup is so special
Excellent food and yummy unique broth! Very reasonable price. Superb taste that everyone must try! Will certainly come back again 👍
Boss rush down from other outlet to ensure new outlet is same quality. Friendly boss.
Unique, tasty and flavorful.
Fantastic food, great ambience. Try it and you’re sure to be hooked
