Reviews of Coastal Playgrove
Quite a good chill place in ECP and for children below 12 years old to have some water fun and their long slides. Have some mookata, Burger King and old town white coffee available.
Revamped big splash - Free and clean and fun! Opened a month ago, made for 13+ year olds but lots of 4+ year olds were there too with parental supervision. There's space for picnic while the kids move around, or there's also old town white coffee, burger king, and a little indoor playland once upon a time. Highly recommend sports shoes, it'll be tough with slippers. Slides aren’t slippery anymore thought!
Great place for the kids, especially if you want them to spend time in kids fountains, which you would not have to be worried about, as the water is shallow
Fun playground for younger and older children. Convenient location as there are a few restaurants/cafes adjacent to the playground.
The slides look intimidating, but in reality, you will get stuck inside and it is quite a workout to scoot down.
Parking: Convenient location as Carpark B2 is just adjacent to the playground.
No tickets needed.
It's A public place, open to public free for all to play.
If it's very hot on sunny day, children may climb at the tower ropes.. When it's much cooler, sliding down the slide is fun and good scary even for adults.
Tips :
Wearing suitable outfit for climbing and easier sliding. Bring along your own bum slider
There are eatery around for the hungry and to sit in for some cooling aircon.
There are no seats around the play area, bring your own picnic mat or chairs and water.
There's new water play area added recently
Wonderful playground for kids with massive climbing tower, but there is ramp that wraps around it where you can access the slides if you don't want to climb up the ropes. Great waterplay which is now open!!! There also a sandpit with food options, clean bathrooms with showers :)
Fun playground for children with lots of climbing involved. Unfortunately due to rain we were told we had to leave the climbing/slides. Slides need shining inside as people were getting stuck inside. A shame they didn’t add some swings and other small play pieces in the space.
Good car park next to playground, plus F&B and toilets, and of course very close to the sea too.
Not all things fun need to have entrance tickets. Coastal Playgrove is just one example of that.
Apart from the fun slides and sand pit (though the beach is also nearby), there is also an area for some water fun (not the beach) behind the big slides.
My girl definitely enjoyed herself and the climbing area in the middle allows kids like my girl to explore, build confidence and to challenge themselves.
Place is clean and that's, in part, thanks to the maintenance team, as well as the visitors who take great effort to take care of these public playgrounds.
A great place to kickstart East Coast Park fun before heading to the beach and sea. 🥳
One of the best things around Singapore are the well designed & constructed playgrounds. This is one your kids wouldn’t wanna miss... especially if they also love exciting slides...
Great place to bring kids to. There is a huge sand pit, wadding pool, structure for climbing (this is for older kids). Options for food are: Old Town White Coffee, Burger King, Luv Coffee, Prata Wala, Kimchi Box, Picotin Express.
This is a great place for picnics but recently they've planted trees on the grass patch. These create a more claustrophobic feel. I had prefered the open concept.
Newly open outdoor playground, there have wet & dry theme. Some restaurants & food court jz next to the playgroup.
Toilet have shower facilities (open & close concept)
Weekend here flood by children, I guess is either come here on dot 8am or very late to avoid the crowd.
But overall, east coast is very nice for family to hang around.
Family friendly place. Definitely would like to visit again!

Is nice & chill out place to visiting..
Thai mookata meal, comes with sets to selections.. around 7pm onwards still have live brand singing… prices was still value not that expensive… meats was marinated well, find it nice & tasty..
A super fun place for children. It's free admission.
Slides open 4-8pm.
The place is so convenient, comes with restaurants, clean toilet and shower,.
Great place to start the weekend with kids. Quite disappointed that the water area is closed for maintenance. Wonder if there is anywhere we can check the schedule
Nicely managed. Challenging but safe environment. Green area is well maintained. not so crowded on weekdays.
The slides are not slippery unless you wear synthetic clothing! If your kid wears cotton pants it won’t slide on them at all. Otherwise, this is a really amazing playground, with water play and many good food options next to it. The climbing structure is good for primary school kids.
Rejuvenated & fantanstic location! Good pit stop for kids
There is a water splash that looks like a small river.
Fantastic for the kids to enjoy.
Lovely place and atmosphere especially in the evening.
Nice spot along ECP to spend time with young kids. The vertical nets and big slide definitely keeps them occupied!
Everything is nicely integrated. Playground. Sand pit. Water play. Food. Toilet with shower facilities. All within this zone. But the slides are very disappointing. Don't expect it to be fast because of the height of the slide for safety reasons, but at least make it smooth enough to slide down mah.. we have to literally crawl out the slides inch by inch..
Love this playground. much quieter then marine cove. Lovely
Fun playground and not too crowded. Huge and great for bigger kids.
Another amazing playground(s) by NParks (I presume). Though it is a bit odd that the slides are labelled as for 13 years old and above coz none of the kids playing were that old. I did refrain my 5-turning-6-year-old from attempting the lower slide lest she gets hurt. The 5-to-12 years old smaller playground was underwhelming though, so she wasn't interested in that. The wading ponds were popular with a couple of families with the kids decked appropriately in swimwear to play in.
Love this place so much. My family and I had a blast. Our family consist of teenagers and adults in their 30s and early 40s. The high elements always so much fun. Abit tricky for me as I am not as agile as the young kids. They made it seemed so easy luring me to give a go at it. But I'm glad I tried because I had such great fun challenging myself.
The old big splash now much smaller with just a few food outlets. Kinda rustic with a Burger King and other outlets.
Great family day out! Our 8 month old loved playing in the water and great for older kids and adults on the slides too. Best of all it's free
Great waterplay and sandplay area for small kids and long slides for big kids.
Loved coming just for Burger King. It open at 8am and its super quiet. I usually spent at least 2hr here to have my breakfast, coffee and time to plan my day.
This is an ideal place for families with young kids. The outdoor nature playground is very engaging..
Ofcourse we will all have to wait till the pandemic is under control
Best to have family time together @ 902 East coast Parkway
fun and engaging place for kids, 2 water play areas and a central climbing zone for bigger children.
fun but don’t forget your sunblock!
Big slide but it is closed at the moment. Will try to come back.
The place was nice for children but there were no hydration center or water coolers. The washroom was not clean..... was disappointed.
Is foc, can bring children there
Design and new outlook looks good. But need to attract the crowd back. Quiet for a Fri evening.
Free playground with a nice wading pool for kids! My 21 month old had lots of fun!
HUGE slides BUT soooo hard to get up their my kid who has allllll the energy in the world was tired after 3 climbs!
Like a pinky lollipop, view is very exciting when climbing up. My recommendation is thumbs-up.
Nice playground with huge climbing section, slides and water play area. Packed (but it was the weekend, so No surprise, I guess)
Only for BK nothing else interesting
Kids friendly place
the kids love the slide but need to queue very long
Best time to avoid on weekends is 10am-12noon. When it's crowded, it's difficult to enjoy the facilities.
Big sand pit, challenging climbing structure. Anticipate busy times once Covid restrictions eases.
Good plc to bring kids n let them play.
Also the makan plc ambient is good just to talking2 n relax2...
The water play area is under maintenance. Full of leaves and sand in the water.
Great fun for my children! Nostalgic place for the older young-at-heart adults!
Gets super crowded on holidays and it's impossible to go down the slide without getting burnt on a hot sunny day
Free to play but for 13 year old and above.
The place is new, nice, full of life and activities... And free
kids like this playground, which has multiple slides, though I always stuck in the middle of the tallest slide...
Shops not open early in the morning yet, but nice hang out location
Great place to bring kids out for play.
Halal Food easily available in the vincinity
Great open area for kids.
Don't play slide when it rains 😅
East Coast Park(ECP) is always lovely
Amazing place for the kids!
👌😊, 👍
Kool place for kids
Great outing with kids
Nature
You can play in the water and dig in the sand for free, as well as climbing frames and large slides. You can also have a picnic on the beach, which is very suitable for family outings.
It's quite cool because it's next to the beach. It's good to bring the kids to play.
Great sun
It's a great place for kids to play (to improve their physical strength) and for adults to have a cup of coffee. Infants can safely play in the water wearing swimsuits.
Good.
