Reviews of Eddy's
Order the rice bowl with chicken. Nice chicken chop with crispy skin, it contains good amount of broccoli and cherry tomatoes. Love the dried shrimp paste too. Next time will try their other dishes.
30 minutes, wait during lunch time. This stall pasta not bad. It is delicious and not expensive. But don't come at lunch time. I order unagi rice bowl on my 2 visit, it taste good and with eggs. The chef is very generous with big portions for $12 and he cook every dish on the spot. The foods are a bit salty but if it like salty it is delicious and fresh. Prepare to wait for 30 minutes. Highly recommend if you not in a hurry.
Duck confit was fantastic!! 💯 Duck was very soft, sauce was flavourful!! 👍🏾 would definitely come back again!!
Opening Hours: 1030 - 1400 / Sold Out on Weekdays only
(would be good if they extend their operating hours to night time / weekends 😅)
Ordered the duck confit bowl $12 (comes with cherry tomatoes, onsen eggs, veggies and haebeehiam) and the Laksa spaghetti with chicken chop $9.50. Both are so delicious with the laksa sauce that coated the spaghetti wonderfully, with an additional layer of umami from the crunchy haebeehiam (fried dried shrimps) with a good kick. Good classic and affordable duck confit. Definitely recommended and will return again. Eddy is very friendly and he gave his signature thumbs up when we collected the food. Waited 10mins after ordering, which was reasonable.
Had the duck confit rice bowl, like it that it comes with generous healthy vegetables. The duck is very good, goes off the bones easily, though kind of cumbersome to handle it in a bowl. The haebeehiam adds a surprising flavour to the rice with the runny egg. Overall a very satisfying meal at $12.
Has a good duck confit, and a nice chicken chop with laksa spaghetti.
The chicken chop has nice crispin skin, and the laksa sauce has a thicker consistency to stick to the pasta strands. There is hae bee hiam on the chicken chop too. It’s a tad bit spicy though, so be careful of that.
Be prepared for a 30-45 minute queue at peak period.
Eddy’s never disappoints. His food have been solid everytime I tried it.
Love his duck confit ($12). The meat is super tender & well marinated. Also tried his mala prawn pasta ($10.50) for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint - the flavour was on point and the spaghetti had just the right amount of Q-ness. Also loved the laksa spaghetti with chicken chop that I had in the past. Worth a try!
The fusion laksa chicken chop spaghetti of the most interesting and tastiest dishes that I have eaten in Singapore.
The quality of the dish is more like what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant than from a hawker stall.
Duck confit with aglio olio - $10
duck confit was slightly charred but to my pleasant surprise the taste was unaffected and the meat was super tender (just peel off the skin and that’ll suffice). The sauce complemented the duck confit really well.
Aglio olio was disappointing though - not very fragrant and it was too peppery and hence nothing sensational. Nevertheless you should try it once to satisfy your curiosity if you’re a frequenter of Hong Lim. If you rarely go there, there’re many other hidden gems to pick out.
Duck confit with mashed potato and corn. Wow, the duck confit is really tender, just a slight pull with the plastic fork, the meat easily comes apart, duck skin remained crispy. Decent seasoned mashed potato with brown sauce, the meat goes well with the brown sauce too. Rare find in hawker centre.
Back to try the chicken chop aglio olio spaghetti. Chicken chop, crispy skin and tender meat but skin seasoning abit salty. Aglio olio spaghetti, too oily for my liking.
Still prefer the duck confit.
It was fortunate for us to be here on a Friday as they are not open on weekends. We were certainly impressed with this 5* hotel quality food at a hawker centre. The duck confit was just as good as what I had in Paris. I tried the special Laksa spaghetti and the sauce was complex and so tasty, not forgetting the chicken chop which was so yummy too. And the spaghetti is al dente, the way it should be cooked. Eddy certainly deserves the praises from the many customers who took the trouble to thank and shook his hands after their meal. Its that good.
03/04/2023: Still of great quality!!! I tried the salmon this time, tastes better than the chicken chop I feel!! And the speed of the cooking is still super quick and the food is still delicious!
Solid food with a great portion! The chicken chop is nicely done and the spaghetti is al dente! Always a good place to go to for a not too expensive pasta! Also the staff is very fast and efficient!
5-stars for the food at this price point. $10 for duck confit with mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a mini corn on the cob. Additional $2 for pasta instead of mashed potatoes. The duck meat was very tender with just the right amount of fat and came in a reasonable portion, though I’d suggest that they work a little more on the marinade. I loved the mashed potatoes most - very smooth texture with a good gravy; while the coleslaw was a refreshing touch to the dish.
Be prepared to wait a while for the food but the lady at the shopfront was courteous.
Visual pleaser in this hawker
Duck skin so crispy, meat so tender
And the sauce has a depth of flavour, carried so well by the mash potatoes
Defo restaurant quality food!
Attempt to dine @Eddy’s finally pays off after few attempts since it was always sold out.
FYI, they are closed on Sat and Sun so unless you happened to be near by or on leave chances of eating here is like striking a lottery.
Well I’m here for an obvious reason. It’s not for Donald Duck 🦆 viewing, nor Peking Duck.
Whispeeeeer……..DC…… Yellow Duck! Nah….
Definitely not Marvel DC…..
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present you Eddy’s Duck Confit. Many positive raving review and indeed it didn’t disappoint me.
Opted for the one with mash potatoes. 10 dollars! What a bargain. They served the drumstick part with coleslaw and a small portion of bbq corn.
The meat was tender and easily ripped off. The star of the dish was the 🦆.
Value for money and service was great!
5 ⭐️
It was a miracle we found Eddys among more than 100 stalls in the complex. Very very happy with the food and the whole experience. We both had chicken pomadoro. The portions were generous enough that we could have split one but we didn’t 😋
For $11, you get a duck confit bowl, onsen egg topped with some sambal bits. This is a perfect combination of confit meets eastern rice bowl.
The meat of the duck tears off so easily and it’s so tender. Didn’t even need a knife to get the meat off the bone. The onsen egg was a little over cooked and the bowl was a little too small to contain all these goodness. Otherwise it’s a perfectly cooked dish. Kudos to Eddy and team for making such a wonderful dish.
Crowded even after lunch hours. Duck Confit rice bowl is delicious. Especially when eaten with fried chili peppers
Highly recommended to eat the Duck Confit (whichever combi you like) - this one 5 ⭐️
I guess for this price it gives many famous restaurants a run for their money!!!
Chicken chop is a tad too salty for my liking.
Exceptional quality at reasonable prices, the laksa spaghetti gives off a more intense taste with a thicker consistency than your typical laksa. The duck confit is simply the best you can get at this price
portions are generous, and food quality is amazing! we got the Chicken Chop Rice Bowl and Grilled Salmon Aglio Olio (opted for a non-spicy one) here. friendly and energetic owner! super good value, definitely worth a visit! (my photos don't do enough justice!!)

If you're looking for authentic duck confit in Singapore, this place probably has the best value. On top of that, they serve up other delicious western food items as well. Definitely coming back to try those in the future!
When you come here during a weekday lunch, they have a large number of customers waiting for their food. They also do delivery orders, so it adds to the waiting time for your food. I ordered the chicken chop with laksa pasta. If you have low spice tolerance, this is spicy. Better standby a drink with you.
Eddy's started off strong a few years ago and from the looks of it, seems to be a mainstay here at Chinatown. It is heartening to see elderly folk enjoy Western dishes like duck confit as well as their usual Chinese fare.
It's hard to not give him 5 stars when his food is tasty, great value for money, and most importantly consistent. The duck is the star here. Where else can you get duck confit in a coffeeshop/hawker setting? It's skin crisp and brown, meat pink and slips off the bone, and the accompanying sides do not disappoint.
Other dishes are also worthy of mention so if you're not a duck lover, do not fret as you'll still have options.
The queue gets long during lunch, and to a point he might even sell out by 12 so it would be wise to camp out early for his food. Here's hoping Eddy's will stay here long and that more dishes will appear on his roster of delicious foods!

Got their duck confit + spaghetti aglio olio and it’s really good!
Laksa spaghetti — something that seemed so unconventional to me, ended up being such a delight. It’s not just the flavour... the pasta and chicken tasted fantastic as well. Not to mention, the portion was highly generous as well!
I researched some Michelin grade foods and found this one. It took some time before we found the stall 😂
Foods are great! I will go back here when I visit SG again.
$8.50 for Chicken Chop Laksa Spaghetti, portion is huge, value for money. Laksa is legit. Will be back again to try other dishes on the menu!
the laksa pasta, HUGE piece of chicken chop, duck confit (thigh), coleslaw, plum tomato salad and chilli sauce are all 5 stars, all to die for...at such an unbelievable inexpensive price, wait no more!!!!!
Duck confit at a hawker centre that will exceed your expectation of a restaurant. Moist & tender duck leg confit (cooked in duck fat) served with mash or pasta. I personally find the duck more tender than some I tried in restaurants. While the plating is not mind-blowing, the taste is great. Good for take-away as well (if you need an air conditioned place to eat)
First time diner today as I had an appointment at the States Courts later that afternoon. Wanted to try curry mee but they already stopped the queue.
I've dined at fancier restaurants in impressive locales before and been underwhelmed by their food. Have also tried Saveur once not long after they opened.
The duck confit here was better than Saveur and some other more upmarket venues.. I had it with mash potato, coleslaw and corn with added chicken chop as side (hardly ever on the area so I figured I should try both items!)
The chicken chop had such a beautiful crisp skin that is uncommon for chicken chop from western stalls. Confit was also pretty good.. It was a little difficult to eat with plastic fork and spoon tho when applying pressure to cut the chicken into pieces... Next time if I'm planning to come, I'll bring my own cutlery.. haha
I could see how happy Eddy and his wife were serving their diners ! Thank you for lifting my spirits during a difficult time.
I have avoided this stall because I heard about the long queues. Today, for my first visit (for an early lunch), I am delighted to discover they use the buzzer system. And your number will be flashed out. This means I don't have to be standing long hours in the queue.
The food is extremely well-executed for the pricing:
1. The duck confit is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Love the coleslaw and corn sides too.
2. The laksa chicken chop pasta is superb. The pasta is al-dente, and the sauce feels so elegantly rich without sacrificing any authenticity. The chicken chop is generous, chunky, well marinated and yummy!
Finally, the plating is very posh looking for a food center.
The only bummer?
Eating using plastic utensils. I really hate using plastic utensils. Not only is it environmentally unfriendly, it negates the gastronomic experience.
Well, I'd bring my own utensils if I were come here again. And yes, I WILL come again to try other dishes!
Value for money western food! Duck confit is tender, pairs well with the creamy, buttery mashed potatoes and gravy.
Kudos to the generous portions of the massive chicken chop and pasta. Laksa gravy is extremely thick and well flavoured, but tends to get jelat after initial consumption. Suggest to share the pasta with a dining companion if you want to try it! Hae bee hiam is also a great fragrant pairing too.
Ordered the Chicken Chop Laksa Sphagetti. Tasted really good! Chicken chop skin was crispy and meat still tender. The laksa sauce for the sphagetti was thick and rich with flavours of laksa leaves. Shiok for a good lunch in a very busy setting!
To avoid a long wait, I arrived at opening time. But I noticed the stall owners were already in the thick of the action. Nevertheless duck confit was ready in less than 10mins. The nicely packed food was for my wife, she said duck was soft and flavorful. And she recommends that I try it soon. I believe her words, so 5 stars for the food and friendly stall owners. I'll be back 😎
The best laksa that I've had and loved the fusion of Western and Asian flavours.
The duck confit was excellent as well.
Overall, worth another visit and kudos for bringing french cuisine to a hawker center setting.
Had the acclaimed duck confit, finally. The meat was indeed tender! But skin could have been crispier. Mashed potato and the coleslaw were done just like KFC, the way I like. It was difficult to eat the corn with plastic cutlery but I guess it was intended for us to use our fingers. for lunch, the portion was just right at $11. (For more carbo load, opt for the spaghetti....
$12 duck confit. Not bad. The mash potato is super yummy. The sauce is pretty decent too
Was not expecting anything spectacular when we ordered Grilled Chicken with Laksa Spaghetti ($8.50) and Grilled Salmon with Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($10). Both mesmerised us and they are Spectacular! In case anyone thought i exaggerated, I could explain.
The Laksa Spaghetti is of good portion, rich in spice flavours yet not jialat. Chicken is tasty, tender with some char crisps on the pan-fried skin. There’s even some savoury-sweet haebi cracklings atop the chicken adding another layer of dimension to the dish.
The Salmon is adequately grilled with crispy skin and can be flaked off easily into moist flavourful pieces. Spaghetti al-dente and well executed in aglio olio ways. Served with a crunchy light cream salad and a short portion of grilled corn cob with strong smoked scent.
Eddy’s food is creatively put together, skilfully executed and graciously portioned. Not sure this is the best western food I have tasted, but the meal had touched me deeply as one presented with lots of heart and thoughts into every little details. Thank you for the great meal. We will be back soon to try the other selections.
Had the laksa spaghetti with chicken chop. Chicken was seasoned well and the skin well crisped. Laksa sauce was rich and flavourful too. Certainly worth braving the weekday lunch time crowd for. Will be back!
Got the duck confit! I was super surprised by how tender and fatty the duck was :) Worth the money! $11 for duck, mashed potatoes, coleslaw & corn. Even the side dishes were delicious.
Was looking for a quick pasta fix at Hong Lim market, and came across this stall. Glad I gave it a shot. The laksa pasta was well cooked, and the chicken was well grilled. Both were flavourful without being overpowering, and the slight char of the chicken along with the hae bee adds a nice crunch for texture too. Would eat again!
Duck confit was so good, juicy and tasty to the bone! Both mash potatoes and aglio olio options were excellent! Restaurant-standard food at half the price, and all prepared by a friendly chef!
Tried many award winning food stall at this food court none suits our taste bud. But this is definitely a gem here! Ordered its tomato based pasta and it’s yummy! Kids and myself love it!
Love the duck confit, usually get this from higher end restaurant with similar quality, but it's in a hawker with really reasonable pricing. And quality is always consistent without fail, I've always looking forward to the Duck Confit when I come to Hong Lim :)
Soft duck. Long waiting time. Corn difficult to eat with disposable cutlery
Reasonable value, given the good quality of the food. Recommended for people who wants to eat western
Amazing food! Taxi driver recommended these markets instead of where we were going to go.
Unagi bowl is tender and juicy, value for money meal. One of the best western in the neighbourhood.
Very tasty!!!
Duck confit with pasta, corn and coleslaw.
Look no further
The laksa spaghetti is super good!
The duck confit is brilliant. So tasty even on its own.
Affordable price with super high quality!!!
Take note that they move their store to #02-13 (I'm the one who think they closed their store , don't be like me😂)
Delicious, affordable and fuss free. Polite staff with quick and fast service.
