Reviews of Hock Heng
Hock Heng Fish Noodle serves up some of the freshest fish noodles you can find! The chilli for the dry version is wonderfully fragrant without being overpowering, lending just the right amount of kick. Their prawns🦐 and fish slices🐟 are cooked perfectly—supple, juicy, and brimming with flavor. If you’re after a hearty meal that’s both tasty and wallet-friendly, you’ll definitely want to give this stall a try. Highly recommended! ✨
OMG.
I thought 興隆魚湯 is good.
This one even more power !!
The soup broth has 麻油
So fragrance & sweet.
Thick slices of fishes.
Worth waiting despite super long queue.
So try while stock last and they don’t open daily.
Despite visiting this market at least 3 times a week for the past five years, I've only eaten here less than 10 times because I can't figure out the opening hours, but seems to be open some mornings, closed by lunchtime. If you're there after 11:45, probably no chance already.
That said, I queue whenever I see the lights on because the fish is fresh and they are generous with the portions. My pick is the $10 portion for seafood soup, which on top of a bunch of sliced batang, also includes at least 4 sizeable fresh peeled prawns, maybe more.
Would I travel just to eat this? Probably not, especially since I haven't figured out the opening hours. But if you're in the vicinity, and it happens to be open, it's definitely worth the queue, and worth your money. Easily one of the best lunches at Sims Vista Market.
6.40am morning, big prawns and fish. 5 dollar per bowl. Good.
Fresh fish are used for their fish soup. Never once had I had fish that are not fresh.
There's always a queue. Have to go early as they sold out very early in the afternoon.
They have a 2nd branch at Upper boon keng too. Also long queue at that branch.
Chanced upon it. My highest rating for fish soup has always been taiseng fish soup at ubi but this is different, perhaps better. I can taste the plum and tomatoes in soup (like a Teochew fish broth) and the fish slices are thick and fresh. The queue is not long at all if you are early, twice I’ve been here only 2 people are in queue. Highly recommend. $7 for extra fish, so much it’s so filling. And try the coffee opposite, Heng Heng, it’s only $0.80, I could not believe it. Overall great experience.
Soup clear and light, noodles al dente, fish and prawns super fresh! 👍🏽😋
The seafood items used in this stall are fresh and good. This stall has a long queue when it is open for business.
Would recommend having this for your meal.
Opening hours are 3:30am to 2:30 pm. Very early in the morning.
Fresh quality seafood served at hawker price. Their chilli served in their noodle is made with lots of dried prawns, smell fragrant and brings your memory back to those old days.
Super fresh !
