Sept 24, it was only 11++ and the crowd gather at this holland drive market. Wanted to try this Sarawak noodle with Yong Tau Fo and it was great. Myself have the larger bowl of noodle with 6 pieces of YTF ($6), very reasonable for hawker food. The noodle is different from BCM type - can only said V good. Overall a 5* for food, service was quick and fast. Atmosphere hawker Center - get warmer and sweaty as u enjoy the food. Will I try again - definitely.
Homemade yong tau foo. Fresh and value for money. One of the best Kolo Mee in SG.
Value for money less than $6 for noodles and big bowl for yong tau foo.
Prepare to wait 30-45min. Do go early as spinach in soup will run out closer to the afternoon.
Always see a Q for this stall and once I bought it home for lunch. Today I had it at the market and I think it tasted nicer. Added two lady finger with dumplings. And cost $5.90 pretty delicious with the tasty chilli.
Fresh and tasty yong tau foo.
It’s really handmade that every side dishes don’t have the artificial taste.
Its fish minced paste are soft and not salty.
Selection wise quite standard but cravings satisfied.
First time tryin the Kolo Mee together with the YTF for 4.70. Worth the price if you are on "healthier" version 🫣🫶🏻. Friendly owner too!
One of the best kolo mee I've eaten in Singapore. The seasoning on the mee and the mince meat is a perfect balance. The char siew is harder cardboard kind.
Yong tou foo are all handmade and the soup is light. A good balance to the flavourful kolo mee.
Went during lunch time and there is a queue. Will definitely be back to eat this again if I'm in the area.
Tasty bowl of noodles. Kolo style. The YTF was a good complement as well.
Can be long Q during peak hours. I had mine just after breakfast hours.
This Kolo mee surpasses any I've tried before. The noodles are delightfully springy, and the portion is generous with mincemeat. I order the big portion which cost $1.80 just noodle alone. While the Yong Tao Fu is separate charge and it taste average, i wouldn’t be willing to que 15-20mins for it.
Wow beat my expectations! This might be the best Sarawak kolo mee in Sg! No wonder the queue. The noodle is superb - springy and bursting with taste! Chilli can be spicy so I usually order medium level. It’s so good just get the large one!
Having nice Yong Tau Hu with kolo mee here. The wonton is big and meaty. Kolo noodle is springy and not salty. Portion 8/10, overall 8/10. Price $4.50. $0.70/item, minimum 5 items. $1 for kolo mee.
Yong Tau Foo and Sarawak Kolo Mee. The ingredients tasted fresh and the chilli is very spicy.
Take note that there is usually a long queue during lunch time.
It's located in the foodcourt around the Holland V area. Walkable distance from the MRT station.
Food was pretty okay by Singapore standards of Kolo mee (coming from a Sarawakian with home comfort food craving). Kolo mee has the correct seasoning and taste. Generous serving of mince meat which is a good plus. Owner was friendly-ish (not rude and all). My only input is maybe make the kolo mee a bit saltier will do wonders for it.
Food taste 4/5
Service 5/5
Location 4/5
An unexpected find - YTF that’s paired with kolo mee, something that you don’t often see together. But this is a real gem but judging by the queue, it’s not exactly a secret.
And this makes so much sense as you have the best of both worlds. The YTF, even though you only get 8-10 choices, they are all great in quality. The broth is light without compromising on flavors. The kolo mee is perfectly cooked - al dente and full of flavors. Add in the chili and green chilis for the spice and tangy kick. Each bite is to be savored.
Best kolo mee I've ever had in Singapore! Flavour was very different from the previous places that I had tried.
The noodles is under cooked.
YTF is good and soft.
Kolo mee very nice and authentic, just like I have in Kuching.
Blown away.! Delicious kolo mee. Long queues are justified. Swallowed the whole bowl after the first bite so no photo. Sorry, I'll take a pic the next time. Open til 3pm. Char siew gone by 1-2pm
Very good food and affordable. Best sarawak noodle I eat so far. I like the Yong Tau Foo meats as well.
Excellent springy kolo mee. Love the spring onion sauce and bah chor that gives it so much flavor.
Kolo noodles are surprisingly delicious. They look ordinary, but when shaken, the noodles are very chewy, or hard. I always like to eat harder noodles, but I didn't expect that this noodle can give me such a good taste. The first bite was surprising.
In terms of portion size, I don’t think it’s too much and it’s not burdensome to eat. The price is also very affordable, with a small portion of noodles only costing SGD 1.2. In terms of taste, the seasoning is added with chive crisps and chopped green onion. The first bite is very fragrant. You can also choose to make it spicy. Because I like my food to be a little lighter, it is very flavorful even without any seasoning. Because it is vegetarian, I asked the lady boss to remove the meat.
In addition, I ordered a mandarin duck tofu soup, which looked light but salty enough. Every tofu I ordered was delicious, but it was a pity that I accidentally ordered tofu that seemed to contain meat. I wish every type of tofu could indicate whether there is meat in it.
Overall, it is a very cost-effective small shop. The proprietress is nimble and delivers food quickly. I will definitely come back and visit again!
The noodles from this place were surprisingly delicious. At first glance, they seemed ordinary, but they turned out to be very chewy and had a firm texture. I personally prefer my noodles on the firmer side, and this dish exceeded my expectations in that regard . The first bite was truly impressive.
In terms of portion size, it wasn't overwhelming and felt light to eat. The price is also very reasonable; a small portion costs only 1.2 SGD. Flavor-wise, the noodles were topped with fragrant fried scallions and fresh green onions. initial bite was incredibly aromatic. You can choose to add some spice if you like. I prefer a milder taste, so even without any additional seasoning, the flavor was rich and satisfying. Since I'm a vegetarian, I asked the owner to remove the meat.
I also ordered a serving of the "Yin Yang" tofu soup. It looked very light but was adequately seasoned. Every type of tofu in the soup was delicious, though I accidentally got a tofu that seemed to contain meat. It would be great if they could label which tofu dishes contain meat.
Overall, this is a great little place with excellent value for money. The owner is quick and efficient, and the food comes out fast. I will definitely return!
Sarawak kolo (original black)mee plus Yong-Dou-Fu is similar to ancient Hakka noodles. good value for money for $4 good portion. Can return to eat.
Authentic Kolo Mee
Taste like Kuching style Kolo Mee.
Tip tip top top ...The best yong tau fu in SG!
