Reviews of LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles - Canberra
Went to have dinner at Bukit Canberra hawker center and chance upon this Teochew fishball noodles.
Highly recommended by my friends and it was indeed awesome! I ordered The Folks Favourite. The noodles with the right mix of sauces makes it so perfect and not overly spicy. The fried wanton is crispy and tasty! Not to mention their bouncy and springy fishball, superb! Will definitely come back again.. two thumbs up!

Ordered the Folk’s Favorite with Mee Pok and added chili. The noodles were flavorful but not oily. The addition of the onsen egg coated the noodles and made it more moist which I loved. The fried wanton was also delicious.
The fish balls were soft and bouncy although the soup was very plain.
Would come back again for this!
Love the authentic fishball noodles! Fishball was fresh and tasty! Soup was good, not too oily or salty! Noodles was just right in terms of texture and taste. Not forgetting their huge fishcake, love that too! Definitely going back for the great food and friendly service!
A new twist for Teochew fishball noodles. Slightly on the sweet side for the sauce. Having an Onsen egg to the mee pok bring it to whole new level.
Nice bouncy fishballs. Fish dumpling is full-bodied too. Non-chilli fish noodles come with dark sauce which is good rather than tomato sauce. However, the dark sauce is a bit too much and salty. Need to request for lesser dark sauce.
Fishball Mee Pok is nice. But tiny portion. Bak Cho Mee Kia very average. Not worth the $. The cracker is very bland. Tasteless. The youngsters selling not very polite. Not extremely rude too.
Need improvement
1. Add more noodles.
2. Improve on attitude.
3. The whole price chart needs to change. It’s overall too high.
I tried only fish ball soup and fried fish cake and they were all good.
I am writing this review by comparing what I ate at the ion and mbs outlet. The mee pok in this outlet is lacking in terms of the texture probably due to the cooking of the noodles. The noodles tend to stick together here vs the other two outlet. I ordered the $5.5 option with mince meat and meat balls and both really need some attention to details here. The mince meat is mushy and probably overcook with no flavour, some dark soya sauce and probably crush bian yu or dong cai to add some flavor profile. The meat ball, tasted weird as there is a very strong pork flavour, recommended to just go with the standard wu xiang pai meat ball like most BCM Hawker stalls are using.
Either that or scrap the meat ball and replace it with all fish ball or 2 wanton instead.
Mee kia is the preferred choice of noodle and my recommended option should you drop by this store.
Their signature with meepok is yummy and I like it, but with kway teow is not nice. Kway teow is overcooked and became gluey made it a terrible aftertaste. No more dried kway teow for me in future .
Food was alright, but perhaps needed more fine tuning. Good but not worth the queue (for now).
Would have loved if the stall marked clearly on where the ordering should be - there are usually 2 queues seen and the one with the bib gourmand sign is the ordering side.
Food made with love! I know that there are many stalls but I feel this stall cooks the best noodles compared to others. Value for money
Delicious chilli mix! Fishball was soft but QQ, noodles were perfectly cooked. Will eat again!
The noodles are awesome. Surprisingly 👍 and tasty.
Had it at CWP in Woodlands, very delicious, great service
Great fishball noodles, will visit again!
Excellent. Worth it, despite the slightly higher price.
Fish cake is very good 👍
