Reviews of Nam Hua Fried Prawn Noodle
Have eaten here a few times in the last few weeks and have to say this is one of the best HKM in Singapore and certainly in the East Coast. Insanely flavourful broth and noodles. Firm prawns and the balacan is amazing. Plate is $5.50 and $8 for a super size portion. Highly recommended!! Owners are very friendly. Paynow available. Opens around 11am so don't come too early. 👍
Nice☺️! One of my favourite fried prawn noodles in the east. It’s an assuming looking place but the noodles are delicious. The chilli is probably the best part of this dish. It really matches the noodles…recommended
Great hokkien mee stall hidden in a sleepy part of bedok. The noodles were very tasty and the broth is also flavourful. The best were the fresh sotong and the sambal chilli is just to die for. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The hkm is okay but the sambal with tiny ikan bills is superb n spicy. Compliment very well with the hkm. Sotong is fresh n good but can’t say the same fr the prawn; big but tasteless.
Nam Hua Hokkien mee has not failed me for the past 5 years but today decided to add on Peng You Sarawak Kolo Mee which is a shared store with the Hokkien mee.. the kolo mee and broth was full of flavour.. uncle and auntie Kolo mee will be moving to 128 Bedok North Street 2 from 4 Nov. Last day of ops at 59 Bedok is 28 October.
4 Nov - they have opened at 128 Bedok North - food Is as tasty as ever! Updated photos too!
Tried this fried Hokkien prawn noodle from a coffeeshop at 59 New Upper Changi Road. There is also a very popular ban mian stall from this coffeeshop. This fried Hokkien prawn noodle stall only operates from noon onward. In the morning, they sell noodle dishes like Sarawak kolo mee.
Prices starts from SGD$4 onwards, it comes with the standard ingredient like squid, prawn and sliced pork belly. Their hokkien mee is more on the dry type. Noodle was nicely fried and flavourful from the stock they used.
Another thing that i like was their sambal chili which comes with fried anchovies. Highly recommended.
Dry style hokkien mee, slightly on the saltier side. Star of the dish is the chilli which is spicy and aromatic, you can even find ikan bilis in it which adds texture and flavour to the dish. Portion is rather big
A little on the wet side, taste good,
Definitely Can Eat.
However, Very Disappointed with the ridiculous charges of drinks at this coffeeshop !!!
Kopi C, kosong @ $1.70
Kopi O, kosong @ $1.40
We accidentally found this fried prawn bee hoon noodle which was very good with the wok hei fragrance braised in rich and favoursome prawn broth and garnished with prawns, squid and sliced pork belly. It was neither too wet nor dry; just right! 👍😋
Decent serving size, with thin beehoon and fried with nice amount of wetness. Has more fresh ingredients than most of the other hokkien mee stalls I've tried. Has a classic taste that's not common anymore. Tastes good on it's own and even greater with the chilli. Very satisfying!
The fried prawn noodle is a little wet, just like the way I like it. Their ikan bilis chilli is the best! However the price has increased, minimum $5. I wish there is a little more ingredients though.
Really good Hokkien mee
Ate a few times, and Never stop me from coming back cos 南华 FHM taste good and wok hei just nice and not over cooked or too wet.
Been eating from this stall for many years. Texture ok and portion is huge even for the small plate. The chilli sauce comes with ikan billis.
After trying every hokkien mee in the neighborhood, Nam Hua fried prawn noodles definitely has the best one in bedok.
Best fried prawn noodles ever! Love the ikan bilis chilli!
Very good, with ikan bilis in the sambal, generous portions for the money
A very Delicious plate of Hokkien mee!
Very delicious, even better with chili. Sometimes you have to wait.
