Reviews of Orh Kee Noodles
Some of the best BCM I've had. I get the small bowl ($5), which is really a regular sized bowl. The meat is very generous, and the soup is chokeful of minced meat so even at the last scoop, there is still a lot of minced meat. The liver and pork slices are tender and clean tasting, and the soup itself is intensely flavourful. They add a dash of fried garlic which is even better. The noodles is QQ and the chili vinegar sauce is very intense.
I've eaten here twice and tried the original meesua, scallop meekia, nonya liver, and yuanyang fishball meatball.
Safe to say they are consistent in their food quality and taste. Love how chewy and flavourful their meatballs are. Their fishball has almost like a crunch yet soft and clean tasting.
The nonya liver has a stingy belacan taste, perhaps not something i feel pairs well. Liver is soft and cooked well without powdery texture.
My personal preference is the meekia as it catches more sauce and doesnt clump tgt like meesua. The noodles were tasty and adequately seasoned. The soup that comes with is tasty and homely.
Whats good about it... it OPEN 24HOURS
I am now at the newly opened store at killiney road next to chin wah tyre shop.
Mee Sua is still good. Nice and soft but still firm to bite. Soup is delicious and meat and liver is good as well. Service is good
$5.50 for 5fishball+2meatball set, stall does not have this in the menu but is ok to accommodate with this my mafan request as I wanna try the meat ball too, u have my 5stars, good attitude always bring back returing cust.
All is good abt the dishes I ordered, I m happy.
Wanna try their signature dish with 2 scallops, look good man!!!!
Soup is flavorful with goji berry and fried garlic. But staff was not attentive to order. Asked for no liver and then gave more liver and charged a dollar extra. Ask for less spicy but served with more chili 😨 Noodle is springy though
Nice affordable noodles. Mee kiah mince meat and the chilli with liver is rly good. The dry mee kiah noodle texture is springy. Even the soup given is tasty.
At long last, I found the BakChorMee taste that I thought had gone extinct. The source is thin. It has sufficient vinegar but yet savoury. They use lard but not excessive. You can ask for no lard and will not suffer any loss of taste. The thin noodle (mee gia) they use is unusual in that it has a squarish cross-section. It's springy in texture - al dente, qu qu, whatever. The soup which comes separately is overloaded with tender liver, pork and everything that works against your heart. You can save yourself by asking for the fishball soup. The noodle happily tastes the same. The BakChor soup version comes with two slivers of fake abalone, which are actually giant squid slices flavoured with abalone essence. They taste just like abalone but their regular shapes give them away. Be warned however that the store helpers all look like being conscripted for the job. Just shout your orders and don't expect any appreciation for your business.
My son ordered noodles but didn’t say “don’t want liver” fast enough. Therefore Uncle took it out for him and added more mince pork.
Other Uncle would have scolded him. He was smiley.
Anyway the noodles and sauce mixture is not bad. Can eat again. It’s open 24hrs.
This is my favourite place for dried noodles. Noodles have a fantastic texture and very springy. Best prepared by the Chinese lady at night (rest day on Monday).

————————————————————— If you’re a fan of Yan Kee Noodle House in Boat Quay, you will like Orh Kee.
Both Yan Kee and Orh Kee have a signature dish of Mee Sua, where the Mee Sua isn’t mushy but has a slight springiness to it.
Comparing Yan Kee and Orh Kee, Orh Kee’s noodles come coated with way more sauce. The blend of minced meat at Orh Kee also has higher fat content, which makes it more tender to chew.
I don’t usually eat pork liver, but I must say that the pork liver here at Orh Kee is quite special. It’s well marinated, with a that bite to it, and isn’t powdery on the inside.
P.S. Orh Kee is open 24 hours daily, and is particularly satisfying after a wild night out.
Portion of noodles is small but can add noodles without additional cost . Generally soup is good and liver is fresh.
I went at midnight. Not only was there a queue, the food was still amazing. The soup was very flavorful.
The mee Sua is just nicely cooked and the chilli 🌶 is unique. The soup is rich and the liver is perfectly marinated and cooked. 👍👍👍👍
Yummy and chewy meatball mee pok noodles! I usually can't finish one bowl by myself but I managed to finish everything in my bowl!
Pretty similar with Ah Ma Chi Mian but this taste better. Chilli also different.
Orh kee = Black ball
Modern facilities, libraries, seminar&talk facilities with abundance foods, services to serve modernised livings
Love everything about it - liver, meatball, soup, mee sua. Yummy 😋
Generous portion, delicious chilli sauce with succulent fishballs
Certain staff quite unfriendly. Food is not bad, on the pricier side
Great supper spot!
Food is good here especially the pig liver.
Cash payment only.
One of my favorite local late night bcm.
Quiet place during the nights.
Great place for mee pok fix
Worth for late supper…. Come try yourself
Awesome fish balls!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Good Taste 😋
First time here. Ordered the all time Singaporean favorite and signature bak chor mee. I totally can't understand why there's low reviews such as one or two stars. The bak chor mee still got gor gee and the soup base is superb. There are a total of about 9pcs of pork liver, no joke that's a lot at only $5 per bowl, leaving me super satisfied (I'm a sucker when it comes to ter gua). Added chili for extra spiciness, super shiok. Don't believe the other low reviews, I strongly think it's their problem. Come down and try it yourself. THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS!
