Still so so so tasty!!! You just gotta be willing to wait. Came on a Saturday lunch at 12.10pm and waited 45 minutes. Porridge is really very flavourful without being too salty. It’s more of the watery type, so don’t compare it to Hougang sin heng kee that is thicker. Their meatballs are so well seasoned, pork slices not tenderised, with chye poh bits and pork lard inside that makes it very delicious. Been eating this since 15 years ago and it still tastes like what I remembered. Photo shows a $5 and $4 portion for reference. I personally find $5 to be the perfect size.

First time here. Ordered the $4.5 pork+egg porridge for dine-in on a Wednesday afternoon at 3.15pm and had to wait for ~10mins only. There were a few takeaway orders then. Subsequent customers were advised they had to wait 10mins. This is simple wholesome porridge with generous and fresh portions of pork, and can bring back childhood memories for some. But I’d come only during off-peak hours.

It's a very delicious porridge. Ordered the pork porridge, medium bowl.. It's thick & with lots of pork meat inside. The portion is huge for medium. Too bad that they didn't have youtiao, otherwise it would be nice. This was my second time here 😉

The official comfort food whenever I am around clementi area, choose between pork,chicken or fish. I'll always go for pork congee and additional egg, $3.80. Generous slice of pork in a bowl and one thick cut of pork liver, can choose to opt out if you don't take liver. They will always bring soya sauce and pepper to your seating, you can customise the taste according to your liking. Will recommend to add an egg to your congee, each mouth is smooth and flavourful. Expect 15 minutes wait time and provide your table number. Recommend to get a You Tiao while waiting.

First time trying this pork porridge. Understand this is a popular and seasoned porridge stall. Above average taste. It comes with soy sauce and pepper but no youtiao.

Love the porridge but its so popular that you have to wait 20 - 30mins on most days. I went over on sat at 7:30am and i have to wait 10min. But trust me the wait is worth it! The best porridge i have ever eaten!

A simple pork porridge that tastes consistently homely, rich and tasty for the past many years. Minced pork is savoury, which gives the porridge an extra kick. Expect long wait even when there’s no visible queue, people are just waiting at their seats. Was there for lunch on a saturday - wait time about 20 mins (stall-owner tells you the wait time before you order and ask 可以等吗？) and we always wait 😋

Stating it upfront that my favorite porridge amongst the different styles is Cantonese congee (the type that is smooth). But trying to be objective here. I've tried Soon Lee on multiple occasions (because I live nearby), but I don't really understand the hype. If I make a closer comparison with another stall that sells this type of porride, it's gotta be Chai Chee Porridge. But given a choice, I'll take CC's any day. The porridge at Soon Lee is nice at most, I always cannot justify why I wait above of half an hour just for this bowl. It's affordable, yes; it's hearty, yes, it's yummy, not too bad; but it stops there for me. I like that they put chai por in. It's always a nice burst of saltiness and crunch when you bite into those, more please. For a hawker stall, Zhen Zhen Porridge at Maxwell is my winner in every aspect - flavor, texture, portion and ingredients, but theirs side more towards the Cantonese style (though not exactly). I'm eating this because I am sick.

They will always warn me of the waiting time before I place my order. 30min? 50min? I WILL WAIT MAN. Definitely waiting. Its the only reason why im there in the first place. Very comforting bowl of porridge. Im always curious how do they remember my order with that varse amount of orders ongoing. Somemore, the person taking the order and the one giving the food is different. This place is a must try. Unbeatable. Just had it yesterday but was craving for it again while writing this review.

I miss this porridge so much!!! Hadn't visit since started WFH since I don't stay in the west. Portion not big but enough for me. Long waiting time though, don't make a fuss if you can't wait. Taste great with egg. Even better when you add a you char kway from nearby Xi De Li.

Honest cooking. Fresh ingredients, tasty porridge. Cooked to order, the traditional way. But, be prepared to wait for your bowl of pipping hot congee. It's popular at Clementi Ave 3 food centre despite direct competition from another stall which started operations a few years back. There's also porridge stalls at coffeeshops near Ave 3, but Soon Lee Porridge has proved to be the most popular one!

Nice porridge but you need great patience to have an enjoyable meal here if you decide to try. Waited forever an hour for my porridge. There is another porridge store in the market also pretty good. Can try that is you prefer faster service.

Only their pork porridge is good. U cant expect porridge to be anything crazy, its just porridge, however that being said, its the best porridge i tried. Waiting time is long, go there early in the morning if you want faster times:)

I don't understand the long waiting time. Even if i didn't need to wait for it, i also wouldn't buy again. It's quite tasteless, other than the bit of garnishing they put on top (not clear what it is)

food is really nice and i travel from punggol to clementi tp jurong and back to punggol just for it ...., BUT BUT BUT they anyhow pack, all 9 packet of order all mixed up wrongly .... the meatball order got pack wrongly and mix order tell me separate packing and order is swap , i still ask and told was correct .... everyone got a wrong order from Jurong all the way to punggol , pls pack and label properly, u mixed up the packing and indicate wrong order for me ...

They started business in this Clementi hawker since 40's and this in their 4th or 5th generation operation. My favorite childhood taste is still the same to remember and it's worth to wait for at least 25mins or above. If you notice they are still using the antique Dahua brand soya sauce in their bottles. Appreciate the ancient silky meaty pork porridge, a traditional pork porridge that is not available in high-end Chinese restaurants.
