Reviews of Zhong Zhong Fine Spice
Finally got to try this before dinner period. My expectation is high because this stall is like forever super crowded whenever i seen it.
The food was decent overall. The Bee Hoon was lukewarm, sadly, and the water chestnut egg, which is my favorite, had a soft bite instead of the firm texture, also don’t have crunchy bite as I remember from my childhood. However, the service was friendly and efficient. The plate in the picture cost $10. Am not sure is it expensive but i think is fair in today’s cost of living.
One of the better fried ngoh hiang stalls in this area. $10 for 5 items and a plate of bee hoon.
Consistent standard but getting more and more expensive - $8.40 for 1 fish cake, 2 tau Kau and 2 prawn crackers. It’s trying to beat our rate of inflation. As of May’23, prawn crackers aren’t the same anymore…. Just for ref, 1 prawn fritter+1 ngoh hiang+1 fish cake = $5.50 now. Same $5.50 for 1 prawn fritter 1 tau kua. 1 fish cake
My family’s favourite wuxiang stall since young! Love how fresh and delicious the ingredients are. Sauce is on point too. Be prepared to queue up as it is a popular stall in Bukit Timah Food Centre. Highly recommended💯
IMHO, this stall is much better than the famous one at Tai Thong crescent. Their service is friendly, fast and most importantly the have bee Hoon! They are also generous on the sauce unlike Tai Thong one very stingy.
My go to stall for five spice beehoon but getting more expensive. Packet mee hoon portion getting smaller.
Chinese rolls, sausages, prawn crackers, and assorted other foods. Freshly fried and served with spicy sweet sauce and beehoon. Century eggs available too. Quick and very tasty.
Delicious ngoh hiang and prawn crackers. There is usually a queue during meal times, but the line moves fast. The bee hoon is tasty too.
One of the Best 5 spice! Queuing for this is worth it!
Be prepared to queue as the queue for the store can get really long sometimes. Price was still pretty affordable and you can get many different kinds of ingredients!
Good and fresh wu xiang, bee hoon and tasty.
Super underrated ngoh Hiang! I find it even better than the Cck famous one
Too much msg? Felt thirsty after meal.. Not for me..

At 10:20 am, queuing started.
If I am not wrong, this young couple is the 2nd generation of this stall.
In the 70’s, it was my favorite stall in this place.

This stall is my wife favorite five spice pancake.

Rice noodles, bean sprout cakes, water chestnut eggs, chicken chops, fried sotong, five-spice cakes, shrimp dates, pancakes, taro cakes, liver flakes, dried tofu, preserved eggs, cuttlefish, intestines, fish balls, etc., 17 kinds of fried crispy cakes .
It's easy to say, but the logistics are complicated.
My relatives have been in this industry, so I know very well that the work behind it is complicated, and it is not a quick and easy job.
Therefore, I also love to eat these "real Kung Fu" delicacies. 👍
