Reviews of Singapore Post - Orchard Branch
Such a convenient place to pick up passport. Look out for Exit 3 from NS Line 22 Orchard Station.
Look for signage B2 for post office, turn right and walk along the jewellery shops.
Service is swift and not crowded on a weekday.
Many thanks to other reviewers who provided accurate directions to Singapore Post Orchard Branch.
Selected this branch as it was a convenient location to collect my passport. It wasn't very busy during my visit ( weekday 7pm ) and the whole process was completed within 15 mins. Thanks to all the previous reviews, I was able to find it easily. Exit the gantry towards Exit 3 with some ATMs nearby, walk towards the passageway and it is right in front of you.
Not really the fault of Singpost counter staff but Singpost! They had change their postal parcel for overseas in a completely different style from manual to digital to reduce the paperwork.
I used to send Xmas parcels every year. From this year onwards, instead of pen and paper, they required the walk in to QR scan and fill up them selves using their own mobile device.
While I welcome the move of sustainability, the weak internet connection and small hp screen is a time waster for some folk like me (eg. poor eyesight to fill up the forms in a tiny phone and lousy mobile connection.) Some folks whose English language isn't their first language has problem filling up the forms as they keep going back to the counter asking what the options meant.
Just a kind feedback - please install easy fill up device like a pad or computer by the side for easier process. Have a counter stuff that do postal to specialise in aiding people with this process. When I went to Automobile Association during weekend, they have 1 staff asking what we are doing before leading us to their instore pads to fill up the details. It is much smoother process without chaotic despite the queue are at least 15 pax long.
PS: My usual 10mins Registered Article process (outside of queue time) end up with 30mins... =,=lll
PS2: If you are looking for weekend evening postal service, then this is the only branch that does that they are closing other branches. This branch is at a rather hard to spot location. You need to enter the "gold jellwery" alley to find it.
Easy accesible from the MRT red line, take exit 3 next to the ATM. Opens till 8. Friendly staff.
The place is actually very close to the orchard mrt.
Take the exit to towards the direction of Wisma Atria but do not go to wisma.
Walk to your right (see all the atm machine) and into the jewelry street (see pic) and walah sing post is there at the corner.
Efficient and decently friendly service. I always come here because they’re one of the few Singposts that open on Sundays.
Had an pleasant experience. Hamid from post office orchard goes above and beyond! Came here on a Tuesday evening to return a parcel and Hamid assisted and he was extremely kind and goes the extra mile in assisting me. I’d rate him an exceed expectation!
First time using the services at the Ion branch. I went on a Sat afternoon, and the line was short.
It's a small post office, but well stocked. I was able to get the shipping supplies I needed to pack and send out my parcel on the spot.
All the staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. Special shout out to Andre who helped me with my international shipping forms. I didn't have my reading glasses with me and was having a hard time filling out the shipping form. He kindly offered to help me with it.
Overall, very good experience!
very friendly and helpful staff; not rushing in explaining the different mailing options; efficient operation flow
While waiting in the long queue I felt really dizzy and blacked out during posting and i also had major cramps , the nice worker at a counter (far end, most right) let me take a seat and he was really nice and understanding. He even gave me a dab of white flower oil (i think) to smell so my dizziness could go away. Not only this time, a few times I went before the counter workers were really nice and never seemed impatient although the queue was really long !
Usually just pop by to post letters or buy stamps. However this time round i need to send some parcels. 3/12/2020 - The staff (thin with pony tail) standing at the doorway, was extremely patience and shown me different padded envelope for my items (As no more boxes). Whether i would like to out all items into one or in different envelopes etc etc. Service was wonderful. However when it was my turn to be at the payment counter. Different story. Overall still a nice experience here :-)
Collected my passport here. Took only 4-5 minutes for the whole process. When I reached (slightly before opening time), a few others have already formed a short queue at the entrance. Remember to take a queue ticket from the machine!
There were 2-3 other counters that were open apart from the one for collection of ICA documents. In general, they seem relatively fast (in the 5 minutes since opening time, I’ve seen others’ queue numbers flashed on the screen several times).
Officer who attended to me was prompt, patient and friendly!
For those collecting passports, you have to present your IC + current passport.
Direction: Exit Orchard MRT, look around for DBS ATMs. Exit in that direction, then turn right.
Small but efficient branch. Location is actually on the Ion Jewelry Street area (before Wisma Atria entrance from Orchard MRT) rather than main Ion mall. Staff were very helpful to myself and other waiting customers despite safe distancing measures not allowing for many customers to enter at once.
Go to Orchard MRT exit 3, by the jewellery street
For any postage need, we would definitely pop by Singapore Post at ION because the best frontline staff - Maximilian (Hope we got the name right!) always brightens up the day with his positive attitude and great smile!
Easily my favourite post office in Singapore - great service, helpful staff!
Take exit 3 from orchard mrt
Helpful staff. Do note that this isnt in ion mall so you dont have to join the long queue to 'safeentry' into the mall.
inside jewel street not the underpass to exit C!!!must must not tricked by the unit NO. provided by Google map cuz #b2-67 never sits between 66 and 68😒😒
Good service. Very polite and efficient. Job well done by the staff there.
Fast & polite service. No queue as well.
Easy and great to post your parcels
You have to go towards jewellery street to get there :) .
Always crowded, making a queue to send something.
Very nice staff
