Reviews of 2am: dessertbar
Blown away by their dessert. Every piece is an art. Perfect! Can't help and ordered our 2nd serving of cocao forest. Not forgetting to mention that the service is extremely impressive. The chef will give an intro for each piece of dessert.
It’s rare to find a dessert place that opens till so late at night!
The presentation and aesthetic of the desserts were top-notch, and the taste did not disappoint either. Price is quite steep, so I’ll probably only get them if I’m feeling bougie😎

Finally got to visit 2am dessert bar yesterday, and it was nothing short of a delightful experience. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between elegance and playfulness. The desserts presentation was artful, and the textures and flavors were impeccable. I particularly loved the thoughtful addition of drink pairings, which elevated the entire experience beyond just food, transforming it into a true exploration of culinary art.
Special mention to Seth, whose warm and attentive service made our visit even more enjoyable. He also came to our aid without hesitation when we struggled with taking a photo under tricky lighting conditions, talk about going the extra mile!
Will def be returning soon! ;)
Totally nice atmosphere, super chill. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. Desserts are divine. Playfully layered with treats throughout, bringing you on an adventure as you discover different flavours and textures that play well with each other beyond the obvious main ingredients. What's this? Oh konjac jelly, what's that? Oh caramel! What's this square thing?? Ohhh chocolate! Everything is masterfully made, every bit of item has nuances of flavour that tell you forethought and planning was put in before giving it a place there. What is this taste? Oh subtle hints of miso. That was my experience with Firewater. The Matcha Basque Cheesecake is a whole other experience, I won't spoil it for you.
Seriously great desserts. I'll make sure to try everything eventually. Firewater is my favourit so far. Try it!
Interesting dessert and staff are friendly.
The flavour are nicely done....
I had a very nice evening at 2am. Our first host: Edria (I hope I spelled her name right), was so cheerful and energetic. She asked what kind of temperature we want for our water (!loooved this detail!). She knew what's great on the menu. We ordered Twix and Firestarter; awesome options!
Charmaine got our desserts and tea served and told us that she could top up the tea for us as part of complimentary service. She was extremely sweet. She even offered to take pics for us.
Leslie had been a great addition to our lovely night. She periodically checked in if everything was great.
Great food and lovely service from these 3 ladies. Will definitely return!
2am: dessertbar delivered yet again! Went for a return visit to celebrate my wife's birthday, and the desserts and churros were top-notch. Service was awesome too, with the staff being attentive to the fine details in explaining about the ordered desserts. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday celebration at your premises!
Always a great experience here, perfect ambience & amazing services. Desserts were not only aesthetically pleasing but tasted great as well 👍🏻
staff were very friendly, dessert was amazing and the presentation of the dessert was even better😋
Satisfying desserts! I ordered two since I have a sweet tooth! Shades of green is creamy, sweet (just right) and woody. But the zesty is my favorite! Tangy lemony, sweet and salty with that kick of almond. Commending Leslie and the team for the top notch service even tho they were full. 👏👏👏 well done!
Really good service, managed to squeeze us a table even though they were fully booked. Desserts are crafted with a unique pairing of flavours, and all at an affordable price point.
Dessert was fantastic with unique style overall great ,, friendly staff
By far the most affordable high-class experience you can ever get in Singapore. The service, food and atmosphere is worth every $ spent,
though yes i might be biased, as I have a friend working over here, BUT
I can safely say I have never had food that is packed with so much flavour at its price, namely the Truffle Cream Pasta.
For drinks, I've had Bergamot Lime Gin Tonic, which was smooth and not as rough as you'll expect, really aromatic as well.
This place is really good for a date night or even for hanging out with friends as the overall design is very modern and calming
Good atmosphere for talking and amazing desserts. They gave us free chocolates because this was our first time there.
I normally have dessert in the afternoon, not in the evening ... But for 2am by Janice Wong I skipped my rules a day
Went down after an early dinner and the place was pretty empty.
Ordered the Whiskey Hot Chocolate and Island cocktail.
Whiskey hot chocolate was interesting and we were told the Whiskey was Indonesian.
The drink came with a serving of churro's which was really crispy.
Island cocktail was served differently from what was pictured. It was fizzy and tbh it tasted more like a mocktail to me. Was told to eat the sea coconut, served in the tiny glass bowl and chase it down with the cocktail.
Absolutely a brilliant place to let your hair down and enjoy your dessert and drink in an awesome ambience. Very good servers and very good pairing of dessert and drinks. Highly recommend.
2am dessert bar offers really creative and interesting selections of desserts, tea and cocktails! we chose the sticky date pudding and noted the sweetness of really fresh dates, which was a really refreshing palate. 10/10 for the amazing service! the ambiance is very different from the other bars in holland V, a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle.
Aesthetically pleasing…. Full marks. The flavours did not entered my soul. The waitress seems to be in a hurry to clear our tables. Asking us twice. Well, cant you see there is still food left. Talk to the mgr and issue was sorted out. Not really crowded for a weekend.
Great atmosphere and desserts are well furnished. Love the strawberry caprese which is light and refreshing
Slightly odd ambience for a dessert bar - service was friendly and efficient.
We tried the chicken popcorn ($14) which was very nice - crispy, not oily and flavourful, the chicken dumplings ($10) and a twix cake ($18). The cake was outstanding - the chocolate ice cream complimented it beautifully. With 10% service and GST it was a bit expensive for what it is / the restaurant looks a bit tired and could do with a revamp - hence why the four stars.
Great place to chill. I do not have a sweet tooth but the desserts all looked very good. I had the tiramisu and it wasn't too sweet. The popcorn chicken was more my thing hahaha
Tried the other desserts on my friends' plates and they all were nice. Stuff on the menu were not cheap but you get nice ambience and a nice place to chill.
Parking is not too bad, had to enter the car park to Holland V via Holland Drive but parking in a weekday night was fine. The bar is very near the car park, so if you walk to much, you're probably walking in the wrong direction (like i did). The bar is upstairs and you need to walk through a glass door in the corner of the building, not conspicuous.
Chef Janice helps serve her food and also checks in with her guests too. 😁👍🏽
Always love my visits to 2AM Dessert Bar. Tiramisu, 2AM seaweed fries, popcorn chicken, portobello mushrooms, churros w hot cocoa are some of our favorite items on the menu. Their dessert n cocktails are awesome as well! Staff are always so welcoming and lovely. It's my perfect space to chillax with friends. Can't wait to return for their seaweed fries. And Tiramisu. And popcorn chicken. Omg... So yummy!!
I had a fantastic experience, thanks to Yeong. Their services were exceptional, friendly and attentive.
I love the dessert so much which name Firewater recomemnd by Yeong, the Rum taste just nice.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great service and delightful treats. I can't wait to return !
Chocolate H2O was a charm! Rich Chocolate dessert with sorbet is a nice combination! The service and ambience are top notch as well!
We had strawberry and Firewater. Simply amazing. Thank god I ordered the recommended pairing drinks, they really took the desserts to another level.
The firewater was like a Rum punch in the face with intensive flavors, then a sip of the cocktail transformed it into a bomb on my palate that became coated with melting balanced nuances.
The strawberry was perfectly presented in different forms, each having its own composition of flavors and temperatures. I can imagine how much effort and love there is behind this.
It was a wonderful little after-dinner soirée for us, and a wonderful replacement of those boring birthday cakes that I never actually liked. Thank you for the beautiful sweet treasure that I’ll always remember and come back for.
Trust me I know what I’m saying cuz I’m the kind of dessert-hater who hardly order any dessert unless when in France. This is easily one of the best few desserts I’ve had in the last several years.
Loved the floral themed high tea set. Surprised by the thoughtful gesture when the crew brought on a Happy Birthday and an Anniversary items as we celebrated with the family. Thoughtful creations that are a feast to the eyes and the tastebuds, worth coming back on different occasions.
Dessert was well presented and taste very nice.
Impeccable standards from the service staff. Wait was long but oh boy the ice cream & sorbet were so darn delicious and each had their distinctive flavors twirling in your mouth.
Churros were faultless; sugary coating packed with a crunchy texture on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect bite size.
Need to plan a dessert trip again😉
Ordered the Twix and Strawberry Caprese, we all agreed that, of the two, we loved the Twix better, because I think the flavours of each component were more distinct. The French consomme was done to perfection, good thickness and not too sweet. We took a while before we could order, because we were seated at the far corner and the servers couldnt see us (it's dark inside), even after we gestured to them several times 🥲
Has a really nice time at 2am dessert bar. Really enjoyed the hot chocolate and churros. The sticky date pudding was really yummy as well. We only wished there was more sauce. The service was also on point- was given complimentary chocolates.
Ordered three (all!) of the signature desserts and they didn't disappoint. The beauty of these desserts were that the flavours are really well balanced, never too sweet nor too tart, and of course, they looked like works of art!
Gotta walk to the end of the road and turn to the left to get to the entrance. From there, it’s all magic. I’m the kind of guy who goes “huh” when the chefs explain their dish on masterchef, but their menu makes it easy to understand what to expect from each dish. The servers are really attentive too. It’s a little pricey, but hey, some things are just worth it.
Really liked the overall experience as they have a very unique take on deserts for instance, adding rice crispies to Tiramisu. The staff was very warm and friendly and offered some chocolates on the house too
If you have a sweet tooth, they should definitely be on your list
Great place for desserts & drinks. Been here a few times and really love the atmosphere & service provided. I loved the churros with hot chocolate the most! Also tried other savoury food which is delicious too. Usually I come here in the late hours around 11pm onwards, the only bar/cafe in Holland V to open till 2am.
Favourite of all time. Its expensive. But the churros, chocolate tart. The best already. And staffs, 10/10. Im not sure this lady name, but she serves super politely. I encounter her most of the time. The other staffs are super friendly too. They will explain to you the dishes sometimes. Superb hospitality. Reservation is better. Quite full house. They served free chocolate the other time i went. I also bought their chocolate bonbon. Very interesting and nice. Superb design. Their ambience perfect for chillin. Got serve alochol drinks but before 1030pm ah!
Oh wow! Our mouths were certainly treated to an out of world experience. The wild flavours, textures and incredible presentation all works for an amazing dessert. Must do if you are in Singapore.
Had a terribly-“spoilt-rotten” experience at 2am today. In all my years of calling F&B establishments (for reservations etc), this is the first time someone took time to reply to my “Good afternoon” greeting. I was truly taken aback-impressed! Not kidding when I said this is a first for me.
The hostess (with the mostest) was attentive, warm and took our questions with such grace and finesse. She was also the one who took my call. She even offered to fill the kids’ bottles without us asking. Cockles of my heart sure got warmed 🔥
Dessert that we ordered were AWESOME! Artichoke, yuzu (my fave) and 85% dark chocolate ice cream. Hot choc with churros, woooooo!!!
Received complimentary chocolate during our visit today. My favourite has got to be the Laksa flavoured one!
You got my heart at hello 👋🏾, 2am! Me and my family will definitely be back. Thank u to the awesome, attentive service crew who spoilt us rotten today 🙏
Great experience and awesome desserts! Thank you so much for your service!
Saturday afternoon tea.
Walked in as there are seats due to Covid.
Ambience is not bad, property seating spacing and ok music.
Have heard of Janice Wong for quite a while. Desserts are ok only. Cocktail pairing are also ok.
A bit on the pricy side given the food only tastes so-so. I guess SMU students are really good at marketing.
SGD 57/ pax.
One of a kind, late-night dessert experience in Singapore. It’s been 10 years since our first visit to 2am Dessert Bar, and the every visit is still a delight. The desserts are works of art, both to the eyes and to the palate. Nothing of the cloyingly sweet variety, insteadcthe thoughtfully put-together components keeps us coming back
nice food & lovely atmosphere! unfortunately, a lot of options were sold out when we went, but overall still pleased!
Good desserts as always. Excellent service with server even shining a light on the food. Had special birthday bon bons served as well which was a nice surprise.
One word to describe: WOW!
So the place itself is very classy, atas (high-class) kind, they even have a dress code (no slipper only, but casual outfit is fine).
After that, the dessert (ahh~), it was great and the taste is special when taste individual, and when combining together its Great! Its not really mind-blowing but its soothing to eat as a late night dessert.
Lastly, the service. The waitress are a little disappointment. They been judging on looks from the start till the end. Thus, is not a good experience, but the dessert is fine :)
Great desserts with good variety of flavours. They clearly have passion for desserts. But pricey and the high stools hurt my butt but otherwise great experience!
Every visit here is a treat! The pod to bar chocolate high tea had a great combination of savoury and sweet items. Their vanilla ice cream with chocolate nibs and 70% chocolate tarts were especially good. The staff were very attentive and offered us additional bonbons. The flavours here are interesting, ranging from the usual caramel to strawberry shortcake, ginger flower and even red chilli!
10/10 will visit again for the next themed high tea set!
This was truly a top notch experience for us. We found this place after watching Janice Wong’s classic plum in Masterchef Australia season 7 and boy o boy it did surprised us pretty hard. They also offered us complimentary dessert and signature chocolates on our anniversary. Staff was really friendly and we truly enjoyed our visit, recommending this place to all desert lovers😊
I love this place.. It is very out of box.. They serve experimental desserts that you cannot find anywhere else.. Chef Janice Wong is extremely talented 👌🏻 Highly recommended
Very good desserts, snacks, and drinks also the atmosphere was cool and comfortable. Great service as well.
Dropped by here for a birthday dessert and was greeted with a selection of innovative and unique desserts. We settled with a Sticky Date Pudding and their spin on the chocolate candy bar - "Twix".
The pudding was buttery, moist, with a slight hint of cinnamon, served with a sorbet quenelle and a coconut-flavoured drizzle. Twix's had a flavour-dense bavarois which melts in our mouths instantly. We especially loved the accompanied wafer crisp as it adds a crunch element to the dessert.
Huge shout out to Su for being warm, jovial, and just being a joy to talk to, she definitely passed the vibe check.
It’s our first time at 2am dessert bar and definitely not our last; we loved the desserts, ambience and service from every single employee - it was warm and sincere :”)
They offered to re-heat our hot chocolate (after it’s been left out for awhile) which was a really thoughtful gesture, and offered us free bonbons to make my partner’s birthday an extra special one, which was much appreciated.
We will be back!
The hot chocolate had a generous portion, and was served with churros. The churros were a little oily but paired well with the hot chocolate.
The Yuzu Freeze mocktail was refreshing and lightly sweet.
Since I came around dinner time, the ambience was comfortable and quiet. However, I understand that it gets busy around 9-10pm.
The service was commendable. The staff that served me, Charmaine, was attentive and very welcoming. Hope to return soon!
The Cassis Bombe dessert was superb! Felt like there's so many pleasant things going on in my mouth all at once and i could only dance with glee! 😄😁😛☺ A must-try if you love plum liquer and yuzu! 🤤😋🤤
Staff were very pleasant as well. 😀😀
Chanced upon this place while looking for a place to have some desserts. Was welcomed in warmly immediately by the host. Ordered the trio scoops of ice cream and the cheesecake. The ice creams were fantastic and the cheesecake itself was wonderful and plating is pleasing to the eyes. Halfway through, we were served with a complimentary pair of chocolates (chili and milk). Service from start to end is impeccable and would come back to visit in the future.
Had my birthday celebration here with my friends. Very friendly and warm staffs! Ordered Cassis Plum, if you are into citrus , sweet and sour taste, this is what you should order. Second one would be Chocolate H20, this is my favourite! Yuzu sorbet is just perfect with the chocolate. Last but not least, we had Cacao Forest. The Cotton candy and the Mango Lime Lychee Consomme is perfect combination.
Very good the service was very good. Would highly recommend it to anyone who comes here.
Highly recommend this place for unique desserts. Seth was an amazing server! He was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the desserts
I love the desserts, the ambience and service.
Must recommend to everyone
Dessert and service was great! Your staff Charmaine did a really great job in introducing the desserts. And she was so nice and smiley! (:
Super good desserts and drinks, and excellent service!
Great Desserts and price worthy, I really like the tiramisu and the 3 flavoured ice cream. Just the surprise chocolate🍫, has a very surprising taste.
Service staff (Skylar) was very attentive and the server was very informative of the desserts served. Accommodated very well to requests on a friend's birthday
Exceptional service from our cheerful server, Leslie. She was incredibly welcoming, warm and attentive. She inquired whether we were celebrating an occasion, and later returned with a beautiful complimentary congratulatory platter of lovely bon bons. The desserts were as good to eat as they were beautiful to behold. Thank you, Leslie, for a lovely evening! Best service we have received in Singapore - and we dine out very frequently.
Churros standard still remains the same as before (4 years ago). Recommend place for dessert and gathering
The 2am:dessertbar is an absolute treasure. We rocked up just after midnight and were beautifully looked after.
Renee and I had just got engaged and the team promptly whipped up a beautiful “congratulations” dish :)
The wine pairings with the desserts are spot on.
Strongly recommend popping in!
Desserts were great! The 2am Dessert Bar produces beautiful artwork that you get to savour and enjoy. There is a minimum of $20 spending per entrant, but its easy to achieve that on any visit with the large spread of awesome stuff on their menu. Here's how we did:
2 cocktails ordered were pretty unique. Much like the Tiramisu we had. Just items alone display the creativity and passion behind the menu. Churros ordered had great flavour and more prominently, texture.
The dessert bar may get crowded during peak hours so it might be a good idea to reserve your seat of you want a proper booth to properly enjoy your desserts. Ambience is great - definitely a great way to end your night.
We learnt about this restaurant from Adam Liaw’s review in “Destination Flavour: Singapore”. I’m so glad we made the trip out to Holland Village. Everything was fantastic! Drinks, savory dishes and, of course, the desserts are meticulously executed with wonderful service to match. Highly recommended for all.
Great dessert and drinks! We had the cacao forest and hot chocolate with churros.
Would definitely be back.
Excellent service , environment was really nice and comfortable :D brought my friend there for her birthday celebration. Was surprised with complementary chocolates for her birthday . Really Appreciate what the staff did:) Will definitely visit this shop again !!
The entrance is not that easy to find, the cocktails are good looking, not amazing for the price but the desserts.. (and this is their main business) are just awesome ! After a good meal or drinks, I really encourage people to drop at 2am dessertbar, every single slices of the dessert were an experience, they know their job, taste and presentation. The place is super clean, the lightening is the best for intimacy, will definitely drop at 2am dessertbar more often to try all their other desserts !
Service is impeccable and friendly, desserts are gorgeous and yummy. Great drinks with lots of lactose free (plant based) options!
Fun and bright space, but really crammed seating at the high-rise counter. We had the Sakura themed afternoon tea, which was really Strawberry themed. I found it a really simple afternoon tea for its price (compared to hotel offerings), and was not too exhilarated about strawberries with condensed milk dip or mochi coated strawberries...would have liked it if they had more savoury canapes or pastries.
One of the best places for desert. They have a unique concept of pairing a desert with a wine.
Would totally recommend this place to others.
Awesome food and friendly staff! Would come back again to try out the different desserts!
Taking a moment to compliment Leslie who served us with a smile on her face. She even took the time to explain the ice cream that was served and went the extra mile to prepare a single scoop of ice cream even though they do not sell single scoops. Kudos to her!!
Awesome atmosphere with very unique menu. Definitely will visit again!
Plenty of dessert options, favorite so far is the shades of green, will be back to try more, great service by Su as well
After dinner, we continued shopping in Holland Village. My lovely, interesting and considerate colleague’s wife recommended a dessert shop run by Janice Wang, a well-known dessert lady in Singapore. It’s called 2am dessert bar. The name is so straightforward that it suddenly changes the business hours and The content is all explained clearly.
This store is on the second floor in a corner of Holland Village. To be honest, if it weren't for the lovely, interesting and caring colleagues and their family, we most likely wouldn't have noticed this store.
There is a minimum spend of SGD 20 per person. The desserts are beautiful, and each one is paired with wine, which you can order or not. My daughter chose "purple", the plum purple shape is very beautiful. There is blackberry jelly on top, lavender marshmallow in the middle, plum flavored ice cream, blueberry pudding on the bottom, and a circle of lavender jelly sauce on the edge. Served with cherry rose flavored rum.
I chose "Zesty" mainly because the picture looked refreshing, and it turned out to be a yuzu-flavored mousse ball with yuzu peel paste inside. On the side are grapefruit-flavored ice shavings and orange-flavored jelly bits. Overall it's very refreshing and delicious, but I don't really like the wine that goes with it, Lime Gin, because the dessert itself is very refreshing, and the wine that goes with it makes me feel a little too refreshing.
My friend ordered a chocolate theme. When I got home, I saw reviews written by others. Many people praised the chocolate h2O. I will give it a try next time.
Special praise for the service here. Every time a dessert is served, the waiter will take the initiative to turn on the light so that diners can take photos.
The desserts are delicious and the atmosphere and staff service is great. But the price is too high for ice cream and chocolate.
Good desserts, amazing atmosphere, and attentive service staff. However, it’s way too overpriced for just ice cream and chocolate.
Try 2 menus: Chocolate H2O and Up in the Clouds. I really like it. The chocolate is good, 64% dark, not too sweet. It pairs with the lemon ice cream. It's a great contrast. On the other hand, the clouds are also delicious. Light cream, light yogurt Eat with ice flakes and milk. Delicious and new Definitely go back again 😋😋
A delicious dessert shop!
I visit occasionally to eat churros.
Staff were exceptional with their service and friendliness, making you feel comfortable in the establishment. The desserts were well thought out and balanced, making it a perfect end to the night.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, and great the service
