Food tastes good and price are reasonable. There’s only 2 youngsters operating when we were there, so you might have to wait a little bit. Easy parking with many open HDB parking

Overall: Really nice chicken hot pot with good and honest service at affordable prices. Would travel for this and would come again. No GST or service charge. Food: Original flavour (medium) - Soup is really flavourful, and refillable. The medium size comes with half a chicken, according to the staff. Add-ons: Tau Kee, fish paste tofu, cabbage, chicken-mushroom paste, pork shoulder slices. Highlight - we originally were excited to try, hence went to the fridge to look at the add ons and had wanted to take like 4-5plates extra. The staff was really kind to let us know that he's afraid it might be too much for us, and told us there was actually half a chicken in the pot we ordered already, and suggest we could always come back for add-ons midway through our meal. Total bill came at about 45sgd (44+).

My 1st time here with family. Tried the original soup base and we like it. Very limited side dishes probably we are early? 5 plus The pot took a long time to boil due to strong wind and we are seated below the fan. Chicken portion not enough for 3 paxs ( medium )

Food was great, there’s a fridge where we can top up the extra food. Just felt that the price for the extra plate was slightly on the higher side especially the pink plate. Service was great staff was friendly. definitely worth a visit.

The food was okay.. But for a ji bao experience, the kovan ones seemed more authentic and enjoyable. We sat beside the craft beer stall, which blasted music, and we couldnt chat over the meal, which was the biggest downer. The staff of ji gong bao were fabulous though. Good service

I went for the original chicken soup $16.90 for 2 pax. Soup tastes pretty good, added veg, enoki mushroom, quail egg and potato, 1 rice, bill adds up to ~$24 for 2 pax. I personally quite enjoy it but I do think the price is a bit high for veg dishes (think not so proportional to price paid since it is not 'cooked') so I won't say the meal is totally worth it. If you relied just on the chicken soup without other add on, will not be sufficient for 2 pax. My hub dread chicken with lots of bones so it was difficult for him to enjoy the meal. The chicken was actually quite well marinated and tender to me. The soup didn't make me feel thirsty which means the soup is pretty good stuff. A bit oily but tasty (hopefully not actually unhealthy 😁). I would encourage the stall to have some chicken breast for picky eaters to have healthier meat options. I did not pick processed food because I don't want to ruin the soup.

Referring to Yishun blk 123 branch Called the female staff 3 times but she busy using phone Give $100 for $60 meal but she give me change $10, confirm few time keep say correct change. Few things can improve 1. Cut the prawn paste packet first and not wait we bring the packet to u 2. After 5min of eating(plus 5min of boiling soup), waited for us to tell them to bring soup to refill, i think some initiative is needed. Coffeeshop only have 5 to 10 tables filled atm. Not busy period at all.

Delicious, soul-warming and super satisfying! A friend recommended this spot, and it didn't disappoint. Ordered the original hot pot and it had the perfect amount of flavour and texture. The chicken was super juicy and just fell off the bone. Was a really enjoyable healthy and hearty meal that incorporated all my protein and vegetables (bonus fact: they use kampong chickens too!) Keep up the great work, 8889 Chicken Hot Pot Team!

Ordered the Mala and Original. Mala flavour was surprisingly above my expectations. Very satisfied with it. Original tasted lighter (not too salty) yet flavourful. My mum and aunt liked it. Chicken was tender too, not difficult for the folks to bite into it. Pricing wise totally reasonable. We will be back to try the herbal chicken soon.

I’m not a fan of chicken pot. But after the video of the shop went viral, went with my group of friends to give this a try. I like their soup base, not too thick and not too thick. But tasty. Recommend to order two different pots. One for spicy, one for not. Incase if you are like me, cannot take too spicy, but wanna have a bit of spice. Can interchange between the flavours. Both are very nice!! Highly recommended!!!

Really enjoyed the chicken hot pot - really tasty! The chicken soup was so versatile - we used it for hot pot one night and added in all our additional vegetables, and on another night just enjoyed the chicken soup as a hearty stew! I also loved the fact the used kampung/hormone free chickens.

had a very BAD day, my nasty date stood me up. i went alone to eat. Ordered a small pot. Very tasty, i took a lot of extra ingredients, "eat revenge". Value for money, only $12.90 for a small pot. instantly lift my mood! Pretty lady boss very friendly, and had a hearty chat with her. Thank you for everything :)

Food is fresh and soup really flavourful! Super affordable pricing for a meal that’s restaurant standard with a fraction of the price!! MUST TRY the GONG BAO and HERBAL soup!! DAMN GOOD. PLUS LADY BOSS IS A MOVIE STAR.
