I ordered 1.Dried scallop porridge with clam abalone and minced meat. The abalone is rather small as compared to the picture on the menu, but the taste is really good. 2.Steamed scallop with minced garlic and vermicelli. The sauce is super fragrant and delicious. You will never regret if you order this dish. It would be wonderful If there is a prawn version. 3. Claypot Fish Maw with Crab meat thick soup. This dish is the reason for the one star lesser. I had high hope for this dish but the taste wasn't what I had expected. A bit plain if eaten without adding vinegar.

Situated on the third floor of the Causeway Point, this A-one Claypot outlet is considered to be of medium-to-large size with spacious dining area to accommodate peak hour crowd. It is in between the M1 shop and Popular Bookstore, and next to the carpark entrance. Food is quite standard, and the same as other outlets. Congee dishes are still the most popular and value for money. Claypot rice is just so-so that you can expect dark-burned bottom always. Drinks are not worth the price at all. The only home-made drink is barley water, but not to the taste at all. Hot green tea is just a normal green tea bag in a transparent glass. This sort of drinks will cost u closet to SGD3 after ++.... Table is not cleaned properly that once u take the menu, the water residues are still on the table as well as the back cover of the menu, which is rather disgusting for a restaurant that has service charges. Remember to say no to the peanuts and wet tissues served up front since they will cost you way too much more that what they are worth.

Friendly staff and quite service. Food is deliciously and tasty not overly saltish. Generous portions and ingredients. Currently there’s 30% discount on all a la carte dishes.

This is not my first time with A-One. Once in a while I will drop by with friends. Their porridge is also very tastefully cooked. This time I was there for Chinese New Year reunion dinner with a distant relative. We ordered their recommendation the mixed vegetables with scallops and small abalones, claypot rice and noodle. Definitely a good restaurant if you are sick of eating heavy restaurant stuff. It's a welcome break to try good porridge in a relaxing atmosphere chatting with friends.

Very enjoyable to dine in here… the staff here are friendly and nice… love the food here, didn’t manage to take a photo for the food… XO fish are super great.. same goes to the XO fried rice…

Recommend order the porridge and clayport frog legs, and the seafood tofu. Their seasonal fried fish is to go for as well. My go to place whenever i need some porridge fix. One pot is good for 1 person as it comes to only 3 bowls (their bowls) of porridge. Unless u r a small eater, can share with your friends too so can order other side dishes. Does not recommend the fish skin as it is too salty. I personally likes their pickled vegetables.
