Reviews of Al Heera Restaurant
The thosai is extremely crispy and has a good balance of spices the prata is crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside (highly recommend) and the spices in the curries are well balanced
Mixed feeling. Im writing this review after my 2nd visit in a month. The first experience wasn’t pleasant. The customer service was so so, some orders were forgotten, and the food serving was too long. I was in rush as well and didnt enjoy the meal. Both visit were on a weekend morning. I tried again this weekend and the experience was totally opposite. Good service, food was served relatively quick. Taste good. Price might be higher than usual coffeeshops. Family of 4 (2+2). Pratas and drinks cost SGD 17. Parking might be challenging on peak hours. The prata standard deserves 4 stars.
I enjoy coming here after a successful IPPT at Khatib Camp to have their chicken mee goreng. A huge serving of fried noodles with delicious fried chicken.
The staff provide attentive service.
Take away dum briyani 2 package chicken 2 package mutton . Price $33. Taste ok ok lah. No extra curry given. 🤭
Came during the day most of the time before 11am to have our favorite dish there. Place was cleaned and service was fast. Just to my opinion, probably the Indian stall could have heated up the Curry Fish Head for us. It would be great. Other than that was good. Thank you.
A&A is popular with local Muslim community for its popular Muslim Indian food ranging from prata, nasi, rojak and even wok fried mee/nasi goreng seafood etc and good choices of drinks at a neighborhood price.
Good variety of breakfast items. Idily, prata flakey the way I like it freshly prepared. Car parking limited.
Holy mama! Ordered the mee goreng merah with ayam and wah! It's damned shiok. Peppery enough and the ayam goreng buried under it is oh so goddam delicious! Yum!! Paired this with good old teh o limau ais 😄
Ordered a simple nasi lemak from the sarapan and nasi campur store. The rice is fragrance and have a old-school feel to it. Chilli sambal is spicy with a nice little kick. Chicken is fried, batter is normal. Teh tarik is normal as well, nothing to complain about. Ordered egg prata and a tissue prata, which took over 20 minutes to arrive. The prata is a textbook style, nothing failed, just not sure what took the long wait despite the crowd of 5 people.
Food served hot n their prata is not done in advance, so there's a crisp....teh halia so good
There is one shop here, Indian Stall, nothing else. The only nice thing about it, is their prata & darcha, that's all.
I tried the Briyani with Ayam masak merah, it was disappointing, too sweet, too watery. Rice very clumpy & soggy.
Their Teh O Ice is nice.
I had 4 pieces of Indian Rojak ($4.60) and a glass of Iced Ginger Tea ($2). Yum yum.
One of the rare few places I've had prata that came with sambal, similar to those you find across the border - onion prata was light and crispy around the edges, curry and sambal combination was on-point, and my dad's dhal had moringa/drumstick in it, which was something he loved too! Teh si kosong had a pretty good tea-to-evaporated milk ratio as well :)
Delicious & short waiting time
Prata here is pretty good. Parking here can be quite challenging but will not have to wait too long for a parking lot. This place used to have other stalls selling Malay zi char and mee siam and kueh but now left with the prata stall.
Grew up loving their prata, briyani and everything else. Situated just off Yishun and neatly tucked near Sembawang, this is definitely every family go to place for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Despite the limited parking spaces, diners come flowing in every minute. A place which holds many nostalgic moments and certainly I will return for more.
Good for breakfast, we had our prata 6am. Don't just stick to prata, there is another stall within offering local malay delights like lotong, soto, mee rubus......
Better than the average prata (egg & onion), not the crispy type.
curry has more spices than usual.
Ginger tea was abit too sweet for me. Maybe order siew dai.
Kopi C was good.
Egg prata not for me
Makcik nasi padang is the best in Yishun. Been eating there since young. It's authentic like mom's cooking! Try the curry pufff it's awesome!
Fried fish bryani is one of the best we have had. The piece of fish is fresh, sizable and perfectly fried. Just head for the prata bryani stall.
A good place for prata, malay food and such. There is public parking available, though it is limited. One of the few places that offers sambal and curry with prata! Can be crowded on weekends.
This is THE place for breakfast and has the best prata anywhere kopi tarik is good too , it does get busy for sure but it's worth the wait . Been coming back to this place for 7 years even after trying many more.
Why we have to clear our own plates. This is not a food court nor hawker centre. No point visiting them, as all the staff not doing anything when we ordered and finished our food.
First time there. Good variety of halal Tze char. Prata gravy was pretty good. Parking could be a problem during peak hour.
Nice crispy prata. Fish curry and dalca not bad. However the sambal and tea ice is below average. Limited parking nearby.
Had 1 bee hoon goreng at $5 (not bad), 1 Maggie chicken goreng $7.50 (average), 1 rose syrup at $1.70 and 1 100plus at $1.50. service average.
The food was delicious and so was the drink. Definitely will recommend this place to my relatives and will come here again.
Nice egg prata.. Unfortunately the 'goreng' stuffs was not ready when I come (around 11am). The drink is so so...
Have always been my favorite eating house since the 90s! Food wise, have improved a lot. Keep up the standard,to them!
Corner spot, parking a bit limited. Food was great, love having their prata which is freshly made. Owner was friendly as well
Food serving was very slow....waitinh for nearly 25 minutes. Place is not crowded at that time but was very very slow.
Coffeeshop located near Khatib Camp. Love the roti prata and teh. Has quite a few stores offering Indian food.
Nice cosy place
Like to come here to da bao my pratas and teh cino and Fried Rice. Service is fast and there is a small car park.
Briyani chicken beef fish n mutton from 11am onwards taste da best... Peeeeergh... Must try it to believe... 😚👍
Food is ok and affordable.
The hand wash basin 1 was faulity and the working one filthy dirty.
Good Place to chill and ambience is great in the night. For suppers and late night snacks. Parathas with sambal.....yummy....
The best crispy roti prata with sambal. The muslim thai seafood is great too!
Great pratas. Variety of food. A lil pricy.. but food is good esp the crispy prata and mutton soup 😋
The Roti Prata Curry Campur is to die for! The Teh Tarik is also exceptional. 5 stars!
The prata is very good. Mutton briyani is also good with generous rice portion.
Good indian food. The prata is one of the best I have tried.
Teh tarik was horrible super diluted. Prata was ok
Prata is crispy and gravy is good .... there is even a malay stay within
Good food just like the old days when I used to eat here when I was young.
A chai and fried rice.. whaaa, nice to chill in a kopi kadai
Authentic Muslim delights! Friendly fast attentive service in cosy comfy ambience for local delicacies.
The roti prata is excellent. Very crispy.
The prata is crispy.. they serve it with sambal
Good food but unfriendly staff
Convenient spot to get my breakfast fix with pratas and teh terik
Nice road side coffeeshop. Cheap and good food.
