nice roast meats/dumpling soup/chilli but not mingblowingly good. but plus points for reasonable food prices and portion sizes. gets super crowded at lunch so go at off peak hours to avoid the crowd.

Roast duck, char siew, roast pork rice ($9) - All 3 meats were great. Thick cuts especially for the duck. Fatty cuts for the char siew and roast pork. Crispy skin and juicy roast duck breast meat. Long wait for dining-in at lunchtime. Quieter from 130pm.

The best place in Singapore in my opinion for Char Siu Fan. I have been eating here for years whenever I visit Singapore. A large plate of Char Siu Fan is SG10 smaller ones are available.

This place has one of the arguably best char siew and roast pork in Singapore, yet the ordering and paying system makes the experience confusing and leaves much to be desired. I believe ordering, whether dining in or take away, involves queuing for the food. The fact that the person taking my order asked whether i was dining in or take away, kinda proves that. But he doesn’t asks where I sit. After a few orders, my order did arrive, correctly and accurately (I asked for additional items). However, the same person asked the table next to me for their orders. And I see this happening several times. Yet another time I came, nobody took my order for 20 mins. And I just overheard someone next table asking about their order (I guess his order got lost because I know when he sat down). Finally, payment can be confusing. As long as you manage to catch the server with the money pouch, then you get to pay. But I was back again, this time during the non-peak hours after 1.15pm and thus got my serving of char siew and roast pork. Good luck.

Very yummy meats with rice

This restaurant is popular and famed for its roasted duck. Arriving at the restaurant (which had a simple setup) during lunch time, we found it was almost full. We ordered its famed roasted duck (obviously) and roasted pork (siew yoke in Cantonese). I found the roasted duck was respectable though not the best. A plus point - the duck meat was tender. The roasted pork was so so.

Really good roasts! Very crowded at lunch - even the takeaway queue is really long so you've been warned. No noodles are served at lunch on weekdays, sometimes even late breakfast wouldn't have noodles either. You can choose your portion based on price ie a $4 portion if you've an average appetite and $5/$6 if you're hungry.

Food is good but prepare for the long wait especially during lunch time on weekdays. Roast meat, char siew pork, and roast duck are popular choices. Add extra bowl of soup while waiting for your food to be served is recommended.especially when you are hungry.

Had a plate of roasted chicken rice. Taste was above average. Meat a little on the dry side. Nothing to shout about. Environment generally clean. 3.5 would be a fair rating for me. They didn't serve noodles at 1045 in the morning contrary to what they posted at the stall.

Decent roasted meat, great soup, but it gets pretty packed at peak hours. Bring a large dose of patience as the service can slow down drastically. I love the bittergourd soup, soy sauce chicken, and char siew. The sio bak is alright.

The front seats are always full at peak hours, and when you got no choice but to sit at the back, you will need to enjoy their while SMELLING the foul smell from the drains, the bins...like the smell came from toilet! food taste is quite nice but the portions rated are not quite matching with the pricing..

Excellent dumpling soup, you should try when you eat here. The roast pork-char siew rice is also really good. Price is reasonable at around $6 a dish.

The best roast chicken, duck & pork can be found here, proof can see at how crowded it is in those images. Very crowded that even when you ask for bill many times, they can even forget. My friend once angrily said "wah so busy even money also don't want, lets just get up and go." Haha (not recommended).

Had the Charsiew-Roast duck rice. Charsiew was a slightly charred which I like, the roast duck as a bit too gamey and fatty, which was slightly disappointing. The viscous sauce did not compliment the rice (which was not fragrant), the resulting mix was a damp gooey staple which I did not finish.

I hv been going to this same place for more than 10 yrs, and hv beem bringing many of my friends there. One of my top fav places to hv BBQ & Roast pork rice. They hv duck, chicken n pork ribs too.. I only wish they could improve the rice quality..

The barbecue are good Have choices of casiu (red barbecue pork) , white barbecue pork and goose Don’t forget order the soup, the soup make you healthy and matched with the barbecue During lunch time is not easy to find a table and you must share the table with others
