Reviews of Azabu Sabo Clarke Quay Singapore
There's something about the ingredients used in their ice cream that makes it melt too fast. We bought our and within 2 mins of receiving it from the counter, it was already melting slobberingly all over. And it wasn't like it was a sweltering hot day; it was a breezy night.
Ice cream is good. Many flavors are available. Reasonable price. Only cash and NETS are accepted.
Ordered a double scoop with purple sweet potato flavour which was additional $1.50, way too expensive. Didn’t taste like purple sweet potato at all.
Lychee flavour was subtle but ok.
Texture of ice cream was more icy, not creamy like ice cream or smooth like gelato.
Queue was long and slow on a weekend. Ice cream melts faster than expected. Ordered the black sesame and matcha flavour in cone (double flavour). It taste good but I guess its a little pricey for what I'm getting. No seats available so just buy and eat while walking.
good ice cream! a little bit too sweet. Big portion.
Yet another expensive ice cream parlour in Singapore.
Asabu sabo has a wide variety of options, with each flavour having a distinct taste.
The ice cream here is very delicious and the quantities served are good as well.
However, the price is extremely high, with it being around $7 for one cup of ice cream.
The service also lacks luster, with lines being extremely long, and staff either being enthusiastic and helpful or lethargic. Overall, service is quite satisfactory.
Value for money is a bit grey. However, if you have money to burn, this is a great place. However, there are other affordable locations nearby.
Really love their ice cream but they melt sooooo fast (think less than a min after they scoop it) It’s a mess to eat. Prices are on the high side ($5.50 for single and $8 for double). Premium flavours will cost more.
We tried the kinako and black sesame this time, loved both but wished the black sesame was stronger. Their sea salt, which I tried previously was pretty decent and light as well!
Lots of unique flavours - tried the Walnut Maple this time. Subtle sweetness, super stretchy and super soft texture. I realise they tend to give less when you order in a cup so always get the cone. Melts really quickly though so gotta eat fast.
Highly recommended for tourists. PS they only accept Cash/Nets no card payments.
Definitely delicious ice cream, smooth and sweet like you expect but it definitely is soft. If you don't eat it quickly it will melt. At $4.50 for a single cup scoop it's not overly expensive and you do get a decent amount of ice cream.
I got matcha soft-served ice cream, it cost $7, which I think is a little bit pricey, but it has a nice strong flavour.
I got their Genmaicha because japan= tea flavors and well it didn't disappoint. It's not like wowwww but it's good- creamy but soft enough that it melts in your mouth. The taste is strong enough for you to taste but not too strong that is gelat.
So I’ve been on the hunt to find some authentic Hokkaido milk soft serve ice cream like what I found in Japan with brands like Cremia and Milkcream. This is probably the 5th place I’ve tried in Singapore hoping to find something good. Sadly, even this place is nowhere close to the original. It’s good ice cream gelatos with a lot of flavors. But if you’re looking for something that good, it’s nowhere close. The soft serve only had the matcha flavor and not the base variant. So that was a bummer. Tried the milk gelato which was just about ok.
Nevermind the haters. Very good ice cream, milk and durian are the favorites. Creamy, and not too sweet. That is how gelato is supposed to be.
Creamy ice cream with that slightly chewy texture! Flavours are also good and not too intense so won’t feel gelat. Only problem is it melts way too quickly :( only cash and nets accepted here too!
one of our favourite places for japanese soft serve! they have mastered classic flavours like vanilla, and more asian flavours like black sesame! the ice cream is creamy, and has a great flavour! definitely a must-try!
Ordered rum raisin & vanilla flavour.. prefer the rum raisin one.. it melts quickly.. so gotta keep licking
Yesterday tried the ice cream with friends, the ice cream is amazing, Black sesame, green tea, milk ice cream and rum raisin are the best !! The staff are friendly. 👏👏👏
An outdoor stall with no seats (but there are steps by the riverside :)). Authentic Japanese owner. Made with Hokkaido milk and good quality ingredients. I’m a huge fan since they opened. Top flavours are: green tea, dark chocolate, black sesame, double berry and rum and raisin. The signature method of doing triangular cones is really unique and the ice cream doesn’t melt that quickly even in Singapore’s weather
I got a double scoop. The portion size was worth the price, but to me the quality of the ice cream was quite poor. Would rather pay more for better ice cream.
The service staff were friendly though.
Ice cream is there for the boat trip and it is really smooth. This ice cream melts faster than others.
The ice cream melts very very fast
Generous portions and tantalising flavours here! Around 9pm on weekends, the precinct in front lights up with street-theatre fun. Perfect really.
Although their ice-cream melts quickly, the taste is great.
A bit too hyped, but black sesam is worth to wait. If you are in Singapur, you have to give this icecream a chance.
I'm feel satisfied with the flavours..so delicious ice creams.worth it to buy
The black sesame taste not rich or intense. Maybe try others. 黑芝麻味不濃郁🤦🏻♂️
Delicious and vide variety of ice cream flavors. Cash only.
The cone wasn't great (not crisp) - wouldn't recommend it.
Friendly, helpfull staff, great selection of flavours😁
