Really thankful that we went Bar-roque Grill to celebrate my sister's birthday. It is our first time trying Bone marrow and beef wellington, and it is nothing short of amazing. It is possible to order just the bone marrow without steak.
Bone marrow comes with toasted sour dough bread, which is just perfect when eaten together with it.
Beef Wellington is cooked with medium rare doneness. Was afraid of it becoming too raw if not cooked perfectly. It was amazing.
Really appreciate the birthday surprise, which ended the meal wonderfully. Thank you! Will definitely be back again!

Ambiance more casual than expected but food presentation and prep were good. However, mains were all undersalted and bland for me, they were well spiced and all but just lacking salt somehow. Great if you prefer low sodium, very healthy. Aside from that, food was good and service thoughtful. They paced the food well knowing the lack of table space and so that the food wouldn't get cold. Dishes were served on heated plates to keep them warm. Overall, I'd say average for me as I prefer stronger flavours in my food. The beef wellington had a nice crust and pink center. Chicken is usually my least fav of all proteins but it tops the list here. The couscous was too bland, portion was generously huge though.
I highly recommend everything that Chef Stephane makes, especially the dishes on his specials menu. The flavors, the textures, the combinations, the presentation - all come together with every bite being heavenly. The price is very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Service is friendly, warm and impeccable. My family and I have been coming to Bar-Roque Grill for years and our experiences here just keep getting better and better.
Celebrated my big day there with husband. Unfortunately, I only managed to get a table outdoor. It was all fine until the garbage truck came to clear rubbish😵💫

Food was great! I love the steak tartare. Husband ordered wagyu burger because we weren't that hungry, so we skipped steak which we initially wanted to order. The burger wasn't really suits my husband's liking though. Forgotten what he commented about the burger. And the ravioli!!! It was awesome!! The taste is the same I had in Paris!! Then, they served a foc ice cream for me🤭🤗🤩🤩 it was a pleasant experience at Bar-Rogue Grill. Will go back there for others

Had an excellent dinner in this French grill restaurant. One of the few restaurants who have their own meat aging cabinet and they feature cote de boeuf, which was perfectly grilled. Selected bernaise sauce served with the beef. Sides were delicious too, especially the cheesy tarte with bacon and Gruyère. Escargots and grilled octopus are flavoursome as well. Service team’s attention to detail was impressive, they took good care of us the whole evening. Well done!!
We booked a table for dinner for my dad’s birthday. At the end of the meal, the staff serving our table (Jess) surprised us with an extra dessert as a birthday surprise! Although it wasn’t brought up during the booking or explicitly in conversation, the staff was super thoughtful and went the extra mile to prepare us surprise when they overheard us making birthday wishes.
Overall, the food and service was great and we’ll definitely be making another visit to try the other dishes.
I like their bone marrow and pork rillet, very on point. Had the black angus on medium rare but it was simply tooooooo dry and so we checked with waitress and she replied we ordered "medium" (i ordered medium for the burger). Burger was ok. Restaurant was busy even after 8pm. Serving the mains got slow thank God we had the starters to fill our hungry tummy..
Man oh man does this place make a yummy steak!!! Great selection of wines, nice atmosphere, and helpful waitstaff. And the sides are super too … loved the mash and the sprouts. And the Eton Mess was a smash! Highly recommend!

First visit to this restaurant hidden in Amara Hotel. Definitely surprised by the food standards and will be back with other friends. Really enjoyed the beef Wellington and prawn linguine which was buttery and garlicky in the right way.
Great place for a French style grilled meat. The dry aged ribeye was delicious - make sure to order the special sauces to go with the steak.
The sides were also very generous.
Pork rillettes was delightful.

The smell from the fumes outside the restaurant is already a good hint of what to expect. Tonight's dishes are nicely done. The Wellington is delicious. This place has a good selection of wine as well.
I had the most wonderful experience at Bar-Roque, and a lot of credit goes to Amazing Satia ! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel genuinely welcomed. Their recommendations were absolutely spot-on—every dish they suggested was a perfect balance of flavor and creativity, truly showcasing the best the restaurant has to offer.
What stood out even more was their attentiveness. They were always present without being overbearing, ensuring my dining experience was seamless. I also appreciated the short but meaningful conversations they engaged in—they added a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable.

Evelyn was a lovely host for the evening, we really enjoyed the food. The wellington was smoking hot🔥. The dessert was really delicious too!
Had an excellent dinner here with some friends. Many of the reviews have spoken about how good the food is, so there is no real need to re-iterate this fact. What I really loved was the great service - attentive and welcoming.

$$$:S$50-S$70 for lunch. Their foods are “tasty” “enjoyable” and “beautiful”. I used for lunch with client and odered two plates from a la carte menu. I really like “Heirloom Tomato”. It is like chemistry of cream cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Richness, sweetness of cream cheese is very good matching with balsamic vinegar. This sauce and fragrance of olive oil make us more enjoyable to eat fresh vegetables. We can enjoy very delicious food at affordable price.
Today we went to this restaurant for the 3rd time for a biz lunch, and we ordered the beef platter of 3 options, including ribeyes, tenderloin and wellington steak, we loved them all and the most is the Wellington. The taste of the beef inside is just perfect with side dishes of mushrooms and broccolis, very recommended.
The staff took our orders is very friendly and very helpful, who explained their dishes and also let us know the way the chef cook. We will definitely come here again soon
My friends and I dined at Bar-Roque Grill in Singapore, seeking an evening centered around red meat and wine. The restaurant’s consistent mention in the Michelin Guide over the past 6–7 years intrigued us, and the menu appeared promising.
The experience, however, was mixed. The appetizers—a terrine and a pâté—were somewhat underwhelming. While the ingredients were of good quality, the presentation lacked finesse, and the pâté did not meet the expectations set by the restaurant’s reputation.
For the main course, we shared a Tomahawk T-Bone weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms. Despite its impressive presentation by the waitress, the flavor did not captivate us as anticipated.
On a positive note, the desserts were excellent, and the wine selection was rich. We selected two noteworthy labels that enhanced the dining experience.
However, the final bill exceeded $300, which felt disproportionate to the overall experience.
In summary, while Bar-Roque Grill has its merits, the inconsistencies in execution and the steep pricing make it challenging to fully endorse based on value
Celebrated three July babies' birthdays at Bar- Roque. 🥳 Quality of food was decent. We ordered a beef platter, two mains, three appetisers, and three bottles of red wine. Totalled up to $750 for five pax. The kitchen also delivered a complimentary basket of madelines for the birthday babies. Our staff was Evelyn and she was prompt and dedicated in her service.
I would like to give 5 star, but feeling the pinch of stagflation and recession 😪, as i found the prices on the high side. (Is French grill and dry aged meat so it is what it is.)
Overall, it is worth checking out Bar- Roque for special occasions!

Excellent table service. Located at entrance amara hotel. We tried striploin, lamp and pigeon Wellington (off menu) and loved all three dishes. The lady who served us was very friendly and gave very good recommendations. Environment is pretty comfortable. Do recommend to anyone who likes beef and also enjoy other dishes.
Wonderful food and wonderful service!
The atmosphere is comfortable and spacious, and the ambience is very cozy. The portions are plentiful, and the Angus ribeye is particular was absolutely delicious. The service here is fantastic; we celebrated a birthday here and our server, Malti, surprised us with a complimentary slice of cheesecake for dessert. We had a brilliant experience overall, and will definitely be back again!
Bar-Roque Grill is a bar and grill restaurant located at Amara Hotel facing Carlton City Hotel. Every Sunday there is a special Brunch menu so a visit was made to try it out. Being another popular place on the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award 2021 list, a reservation was made on the Chope App to secure a table.
The starter bread was really soft and yummy. The Salted butter tasted really good with the bread that a second serving was requested. Next up was a serving of Oysters. The Oysters were fresh and succulent, tasting really yummy and juicy, and pairing really well with the sauce in the middle.
The star of the meal arrived next. Available only on Sunday Brunch, the Beef Platter consists of the Hanger Wagyu Beef, Black Angus Ribeye, Beef Wellington served with Baby Romain vegetables and a Red Wine Jus. The Ribeye was the best followed by the Beef Wellington and the Hanger. This platter was definitely worth waking up for on a Sunday and one definitely needs a partner or two in crime to share to enjoy this platter.
Ended the meal with a Crème Brûlée that was lovingly devine. The vanilla beans in the cream was so yummy that one could just enjoy this over and over again.
This place definitely lives up to its billing and definitely deserving of being on the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award list. Would have been great if Amara Hotel has a tie up with the restaurant to give hotel staying guests some discounts when dining here during their stay.
General Verdict: Great Grill and Bar place that has excellent Beef and wonderful Desserts. The most expensive place amongst the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore 2021 Award winners

Fantastic Food and Atmosphere at Bar Rogue Grill.
My family had an amazing experience at Bar Rogue Grill. The decor was sophisticated and inviting, and the food was exceptional.
Decent food, ordered Cote de boeuf medium, grilled tuna steak, beef wellington, bone marrow and sides - broccoli, truffle mashed potato sharing. Loved the beef wellington, tuna steak, bone marrow and truffle mashed potato. Cote de boeuf had a little too much fats. Broccoli was spicy, kids couldn't take it.
Great dining experience. Nice food and excellent service. They give complimentary dessert for my son birthday. Amazing Evelyn service was extraordinary. Thoughtful and friendly.
Food was nowhere near good as some of the reviews here claimed. it was ok but nothing special. Staff did go out of their way to give excellent service. the only thing i recommend are the tart flambé.
We spent a wonderful evening with friends at the Bar-Roque. The food was excellent as always! I love the hanging tender there, but the tuna appetisers, tartare and cheviche were also delicious. Not to mention the service from the staff, as always very professional and friendly, but mixed with a dose of humour.

Had the most fantastic beef wellington at Bar-Roque Grill. The beef was tender and juicy, wrapped in a buttery flaky pastry. The Milanese risotto was pretty okay and I liked how the tomato sauce from the veal cuts through the heaviness of the risotto. The veal itself was soft and tender but slightly lacking in flavour, however the bone marrow (according to my friend as I didn't get to try it) was heavenly.
Best tasting steak i had in Singapore! Cook on the steak was perfect as per your order and seasoning was on point. The cook on the steak was so good that it makes the sauces redundant. The price is extremely reasonable too ... 200 -300g usda prime steak at under $50. Only shortcoming was the price of the starters (20+) and sides ($10+). They are normal restaurant price but comparing to the value delivered on the steak, i probably will want to spend money on more steak. Nonetheless, the steak is so good that I'll be back! Service was okay ... Nothing to complain about, yet nothing to commend about as well.
Am I in France? You’d be forgiven for thinking so. Truly exceptional beef cookery in particular. The Wellington was cooked perfectly and truffled mash on the side made for an outstanding dish.
Friendly service and nice portion for the food. Staff checks in regularly and are not obtrusive. Outdoor sitting may be more enjoyable then indoor sitting.
Everything is great apart from the decor. More effort can be put in to the interior now after having good business for a few years. 😀👍🏻

Finally got to try a beef Wellington, and it was pretty good! Combined with some wagyu and a pastry/ice cream dessert. Good service, and a good experience overall.

I have never tried the food here, despite seeing great reviews online. The reason why is that I live nearby the restaurant and there is a strong food smell from this restaurant due to the direct ventilation to this corner of the street. Overtime, this corner has been embedded with this strong oil / smoke smell that just overwhelms me whenever I walk past. Personally I don’t think this smell is pleasant and the ventilation system could be improved.

we threw a "surprise" birthday dinner party for a colleague here and it's amazing it went so well! Special thanks to Nicolas who really took such great care of us ;) we started with light and refreshing yellow tuna salads, and sumptuous charcuterie; the beef platter (medium rare!!!) is a must-have along with the truffle mash and ravioles side; even the non-meat eaters were awed by the spinach salad, smoked broccoli and cod! we complemented the starters with a rosé and polished off the beef with an organic red wine - both well recommended by Nicolas. we'll definitely be back!

There is nothing like this place in Singapore. It is the perfect place to visit with friends. I've had everything from their tomahawk to the burger level and Chef Stephane nailed it every time. Front of the house is covered by Nico, who is the perfect guide for French wine and champagne. This time I just had their lunch special, and happy to say chicken is back on the menu!
My first time having Beef Wellington. I'll just say, it was definitely worth the wait! Tender, seasoned filet, flaky, buttery pastry crust, on a bed of just wilted spinach in a decadent gravy. The sides are a shareable size, so can try some your favorites and not feel stuffed.The staff was also very attentive. I'm counting down the days until I return.
Satia was amazing with servicing my family today for our lunch. The beef wellington was especially amazing, better than bread street kitchen's for sure.

We love all the food we ordered, beef wellington, grilled octopus and beef capaccio. The food is very fresh and delicious. Service is excellent and the birthday dessert, mango sherbet, hits all the right notes.
Came here for dinner with friends, our first time. We had a wonderful and enjoyable experience at the bar-roque grill on February 22nd. Vino (blue haired lady) is really nice and sweet, please give her a raise! My friend came here on holiday (he is from Germany) she made my friend feel very special and it was a pleasure to celebrate his birthday here. Thank you Vino 😊

Food was really good. But service wise, the waitress was not attentive. I asked for the leanest beef cut, and she repeated another fattier beef cut as my order :/

We went to Bar-Roque without any booking yesterday and we loved it. Staff was very attentive and helpful in choosing the right meat. Talking about meat, it was definitely the highlight. Best beef meat we had in SG for a while. Doneness was perfect. Meat was tender and tasty. It comes with great sauce and condiments like the blue cheese sauce and sauer kraut. We added a nice Pinot noir and a tarte tatin which were excellent. I am already dreaming of coming back for more beef meat.

This is my favorite French restaurant. The food is great. Their beef is super tender. The people in the restaurant are also very welcoming and nice. You must come to eat there❤🤘
I went around 4pm. During this time, it is OK to sit on the terrace and just have a drink. Even though the seats were empty, I was guided to a seat with someone next to me. and,
The person smoked a lot with a smoker, so it was very smoky.
Nice location, a bit remote but easily accessible by MRT, great food, delicious wines, nice, great staff, Rekka 👍👍, perfect place
We didn't eat anything during our visit, just drank something. 1 Campari-O, 1 gin and tonic and 2 glasses of Australian red wine.
We paid almost €70 for this.
The wine didn't taste good - okay - it's a matter of taste - but we agreed. The atmosphere (we sat outside) was quite nice.
The food was so delicious, the service was exceptional, with great dessert and amazing beef.
