Holidaying in Singapore and we we're looking forward to a nice authentic Indian cuisine on our first day of arrival. We went for a walk and bang!! What an appetising smell from the street coming from this restaurant. So we came in and sat down. Well we really enjoyed the food we ordered. Will definitely come back.

Initially, we were looking for a restaurant to book for our son’s birthday and went to try Dine in at this restaurant randomly. Believe it or not, my experience with Black pepper was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was wonderful. The food we tried were really delicious (especially their signature MUTTON BIRYANI & PRATA )and the ambiance was charming. This restaurant exceeded all my expectations. And then, we decided to book for our son’s birthday spontaneously which turned out to be absolutely delicious. All the guests until now are praising the food, its taste and particularly MSG free. The best thing about the food - even the kids enjoyed each and every dish especially the biryani which was really surprising for us. In addition, one of my friends who attended the event also booked black pepper spontaneously for their son’s birthday. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Black pepper for making our occasion so memorable. We will continue to book for all our forthcoming events and will never forget to recommend to our friends. And a special thanks to RAM sir who is a true gentleman. Excellent food! Ordered Mutton dum biryani, Fish Manchurian, Gobi tandoori, pratha, Mutton pepper masala and a mango lassi. All were excellent. Total bill A$85. Service also was top notch. Would highly recommend to locals and tourists alike!

The food was very good. In particular, the chicken tikka masala. Very good service, too. Very friendly and patient. We continuously asked what the different dishes were. The restaurant is very comfortable, with the AC set at just the right temperature. Not too cold, like in so many other places. Very clean and comfortable, with a nice atmosphere.

We ordered paneer spinach, chicken kebab, mutton biryani, mutton soup, nan, juice. I have never tasted such mutton soup although the soup bowl and amount was small. The location is perfect too, a near Farrer park and the city square mall. I will go back again in the near future.

Visited during a recent stopover in Singapore, the location was easy to access and they offer exceptional hospitality! Started with a mint lime soda, which was perfect for the Singaporean heat. The food was truly outstanding and favorites were the flavorful mutton kola urundai and seera samba briyani. Loved the spicy chilly prawn and chicken chettinad as well. Definitely recommend and eager to return on my next trip !

Loved their mutton biryani, chicken tikka, and the kottu. Each dish was well prepared to have the authentic taste. The owner and the staff were very friendly and served us well. If you are on the lookout for well prepared Indian dishes, this is definitely a place to visit.

I was pass by this restaurant and welcoming by a Indian guy. Sorry not sure what's his name , but the way he welcoming us is very humble. He wear glasses. He even said will give some briyani for taste first.. Wow. No any restaurant did this to me in Singapore. Ordered foods and everything very fresh. Had the Mutton Dum Briyani , Prawn chukka, Chicken lollipop , as well Egg podimas . The fragrance of the dishes were great, taste was on point. Star of the show was actually the Prawn chukka . It was tender and moist inside whilst crispy outside. The Mutton Dum Briyani was amazing as well. Great place! staff are always welcoming. Amazing food and friendly staff, would come back again for the Chicken lollipop 🫠 And the price very reasonable. Clean restaurant. Specially wash hand area. Keep it up guys.

The Ambience is very good. Just next to MRT and city square Mall so very well reachable. Restaurant is new but that doesn't make the taste different.Chef's experience can be seen in taste of food. I’ve visited this restaurant 4-5 times and have consistently found that they maintain high standards in both quality and taste. I learned from Ramss that they use fresh meat and ingredients in their preparations, avoiding frozen meat and preservatives. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Black pepper is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Little India . I highly recommend this restaurant , to those who really looking for good food . They offer very good food and hospitality of the owner and staffs need special mention. When my family arrives from India , we have gone there for the first time to give a try , but all the foods are really good . So we choose this place for a gathering , and I all my singaporean and Indian friends really liked the food and they all praised about the taste of food and ambience. The restaurant advertises as Indian fusion & has a decent mix of Moghlai & Indo-Chinese dishes. Sadly missing completely from the Indo-Chinese section are gravy dishes. Regular staples like Chicken Manchurian/Chilli are only listed as appetisers (dry version). This limited choice was most disappointing. Service could also be better with no dips or sauces of any kind served. On a positive note the Indo-Chinese appetisers & fried rice we did order was good. (Farrer Park Outlet)

The food was really delicious, the boss gave us a mutton briyani sample as we were deciding between that and some other stuff. The briyani was super fragrant and meat was nice and tender. Staff were incredibly attentive and the boss even carried a customer’s child while the mom was in the restroom. A real homely restaurant with top notch food and high quality service. Last night in Singapore, staying on a three night break back from NZ in little India. We visited black pepper and were given a warm welcome.. Complimentary poppadoms and menus quickly followed. Our initial order was questioned and it was suggested we may have ordered too much, we took the young ladies advice and this turned out to be a good move. The food was bought out promptly and cooked as requested (questioned when placing our order if we would prefer more or less spicy). The quality was excellent and the prices reasonable, three mains, two naan and two drinks $65.00 Singapore dollars. Wheelchair accessible. Take cash or credit cards. Small service charge included, but happy with that. Would recommend.

Very good restaurant. This is my second time here and the food was very tasty as usual and the ambience is very nice in this place. I requested them for a cake to celebrate my brothers birthday by doing a simple cake cutting after dinner and out of good will, they got the cake ready by purchasing from the nearby store and arranged it ready after our dinner. Decided to give this place a try, after seeing it under renovation for quite a while. Renovation is tastefully done. Place is clean and well equipped. The washroom area was huge and well maintained. Not the usual cramped areas you are usually acquainted to in restaurants of this size Service staff were attentive and constantly check in on the diners. Had the pleasure of staff Mahesh attending to me and he was impressive. Such a pleasant personality and very engaging. Tried the Naan, Dhal fry and Chicken 555 ( something unique though similar to a chilli chicken prep ) . Food was good and I will definitely return to try the other dishes.

Delicious food! My first time in an Indian restaurant. Service made suggestions, kept asking if everything was tasty, and I even got a bowl with a different dish so I could taste it. So sweet!
