Reviews of Chiew Kee Noodle House
When my order is served, I was a lil taken aback with the ratio of chicken to rice. Anyway, I still get full in the end. The chicken tastes good. But for my personal preference, I do not like the hint of sweet taste of the soy sauce. I’m happy that their chilli is spicy and I like it.
Two of us ordered half a chicken and a bowl of wanton soup each. This place serves one of the better soy sauce chicken in SG, with generous portion of rice or noodles. Drizzle the soy sauce on your rice or noodles for more goodness.
Wanton soup is nice and wantons are satisfactory.
Service of food is super fast so dont worry too much about the queue! People eat and go!
Best Soya Sauce Chicken! This classic has not changed for years. The soya sauce has the right amount of saltiness and sweetness. The chicken is super tasty with melt in your mouth skin and tender meat. The restaurant is a bit small but turnover is fast so you can get a seat right away. Service is great as they have a lot of staff and the price is just right. Highly recommended indeed! Oh.. don’t forget to order their dumpling soup. ;)
Dropped by for quick breakfast. Ordered the soya sauce chicken and dumplings soup. Chicken was soft and tasty, but not boneless. Noodles was qq and old school. Blended perfectly with the sauce which was slightly sweet, slightly savoury. Wonderful balance. Soup was the best I’ve had for noodles accompaniment. Topped up with refreshing lime juice that was not too sweet, as they didn’t serve hot drinks, even for breakfast.
Chatted with the friendly boss who informed us that they started in 1949. Service was fast and no frills. Will be back.
Absolutely love the traditional old school soy sauce chicken. It's a place where we have ben visiting since my grandmother's time. Flavour hasn't changed much at all. I would think it is one of the best in town. Chicken was tender and smooth, marinate was strong and flavourful, and chicken was well caramelized. Absolutely love it. Price was affordable too. I got half a chicken and two packet of rice, in which the amount of chicken can feed 3-4 persons for $20.
Delicious soya sauce chicken and noodles.
From the same pod, 2 identically named shops parlay on the same street, few doors from each other. Both serve Soy Sauce Chicken from the same family recipe. It takes a discerning taste bud to flush out the nuances.
I prefer this stall over the other along the same street. The sauce is also very fragrant without being just plain salty. However, the chicken is juicier and the noodles have a better texture over here. A drumstick noodle at $6 is a little on the high side though.
One of my favourite chicken place. The soya chicken is always tasty. The price is also very reasonable.
The dumpling soup is also a good to order!
Service was fast and attentive.
Strongly recommended!
Juicy, flavourful and simply delicious. I had the soy chicken with innards, which was done perfectly (not too salty). Added on the dumplings that came in a herbal soup, which complemented the chicken well. Chicken rice was fragrant and done right but I would recommend the more delectable noodles.
The soy sauce chicken with the sauce is delicious and tender, but only for the fatty portions and the thigh area. I bought a whole chicken and some parts of the chicken were dry and tasteless. $28 for 1 whole chicken. Not cheap. Next time, I will order only the tasty parts. But it is definitely better than the Hawker Chan franchise at Funan Centre that I ate.
There is 1 more soy sauce chicken shop a few units away. Will try that shop and compare too.
I go eat this at least once a day and am still so pleased whoever I get it. I've tried many many chicken rice places, but this is bar far the best. Lots of meat, never a bone, great chili sauce, and their picked peppers are fantastic. This place will always be one of my favourites in Singapore, I just wished they stayed open later!
They have a two story floor which was great as it mean lesser waiting time and a greater environment. The chicken was soft and nice and the noodles were great.
High quality soy sauce chicken in Singapore! The chicken is quite tender and it goes nicely with the green chili. Price is reasonable for central area. If you go for lunch, probably need to avoid 12-1pm or else will need to wait for a bit.
Fave chicken noodles in singapore. Soy style chicken. Wonton soup. Some edgy rivalry story with neighbour selling exactly the same... Personally i think this one is the better/ original one. But impossibke to really tell!
The service and taste and cost performance is standard level. Not bad.
I like the Won tons as there are mushrooms in it. The noodle texture is al dente. Chicken taste fresh and smooth though can be deboned.
Basic Reno.. but is the chicken that is so very good.
Went there at 11am. First time and good experience. Chicken noodle only 4.50. cheap term of shop lot restaurant
Chicken egg noodle place with soya sauce but they also serve rice. Every portion comes with a nice hot soup and very generous portion of chicken for just $4.
I’m not usually an egg noodle kind of girl but thought this was delicious! Chewy and not eggy at all.
Service is warm and friendly even tho it was busy. Think it is run by a family or at least it has a nice family feel.
All Dente n flavourful seasoning. The top up dumpling is a must.
First time visiting the rival to the evergreen popular chicken noodle further down the street between this family competing chicken noodle war. To be honest cant tell the difference between these two -- great springy noodles, tender chicken, excellent kick to the chilli and flavourful wonton.
it's more bak kut teh and less soy kind of sauce
Delicious, expect crowd on weekdays lunch time.
It has been a long time since I ate their soya sauce chicken noodles.
Nice texture noodle. Order the wanton soup. Stick to green chilly.
Old school soya sauce chicken noodles that tastes pretty much the same for over 20 years! Glad they now have airconditioning when dining in.
Great food at really affordable cost! Will be visiting often!
Had a great meal of soya chicken and egg noodles. Owner was very helpful and spoke to english to help us understandthe menu.
Noodles are so delicious you can even eat them on its own, chicken is tender and fresh Love it!
Come here is just for the Chicken Noodle,
1 star ⭐️ missing because the soy sauce abit to sweet for the noodle.
Sauce is a tad too sweet n frankly I think there's too much hype over it.
Served the following for 6 of us! Affordable and delicious!
The black-sauce chicken rice/ mee with prawn dumplings set is delicious & reasonable priced.
This is simply but super delicious. 😍
Nice noodle and delicious chicken
Don't have the traditional feel. The store are run by foreigner.
Basic, choices not much for an international traveller. Besides, portions are small for big guys
Less flavorful compared to competing stall nearby
The special sauce is very tasty and fragrant.
Delicious chicken noodles.

The one to go to
This fried chicken noodle restaurant is very popular among our colleagues in Singapore. Today when I mentioned that my husband likes the fried chicken at Chan Hawker, they all agreed that I should try this restaurant and immediately took action to bring me here for lunch. .
We arrived not late, but we waited for a while before sitting in. We ordered half a chicken, and everyone chose noodles to go with it. We also ordered a green vegetable and a bowl of soup.
There is seasoning underneath the noodles. After mixing well, it is slightly sweet. The noodles are alkaline and chewy. It is great to eat on an empty stomach. It tastes better than chan hawker. The noodles alone are already the winner. The chicken is also delicious, the main thing is the taste, the chicken skin and seasoning, the meat is tender, and the chicken breast needs to be dipped in seasoning. It is indeed more delicious than Chan Hawker.
What impressed me most was the clear soup. I didn’t notice it at first, but later I discovered that there were small dumplings in it, with smooth skin and filling. I thought this was the most delicious.
The overall price is also good. It only costs 10 SGD per person. It’s worth a visit.
The taste is good but not really amazing, what makes it delicious is the chicken & sauce, the soya sauce is okay, it blends with the noodles, the texture of the noodles is chewy.
For Indonesians, good news, you can use QRIS for payments!
Recommend? Yes, but it's not a must try for me
A traditional restaurant that focuses on chicken dishes. I think the taste is just average.
It's a restaurant that I've read about. It focuses on chicken. The restaurant is in a shophouse. A small shop. There is a chicken display case in front of the store. The way to get there is by taking the MRT to Chinatown station and then following Google Maps.
I ordered chicken on rice and chicken noodles. Ordered 2 glasses of Nam Bale, totaling 12 SGD. I think the noodles were delicious, the chicken pieces were thick, but not very soft. For me, I think this restaurant is indifferent.

This snack bar in Chinatown is said to be the first fried chicken in Singapore and has a history of 70 years.
Finally we arrived at Jianji’s sister’s store. This store only accepts cash. In fact, the taste is similar to that of my sister's store, except that there are no freshly squeezed handmade drinks. The dumpling soup and fried chicken noodles are still delicious, not as delicious as my sister's restaurant as rumored. I asked the male boss how the other Jianji restaurant is? He said he didn't know, different stores, and dismissed me with vague explanations! When he heard that I was from Ningbo, he was particularly happy. He said that he was from Putuo Mountain! Half a fellow countryman?
The rice is delicious and the chicken is awesome!
No need to go to a ranked store!
Tastes good 👍
The most delicious fried chicken!
I ate it when I was in my teens until I am sixty-seven now 👍👍👍
I come to Singapore to eat noodles from this restaurant.
