Reviews of Enaq
Unique prata texture, different from the traditional prata. Enaq's cheese prata was really delicious and crispy. Almost taste like a deep fried crepe!! Haha. The fish curry was really flavourful. I preferred the fish curry over the sambal and enjoyment meal here. Teh halia is nice too.
This place quickly became my favourite Friday evening spot after work. It's usually not that busy, and you can get amazing options at a quite reasonable price range.
I always come to Enaq for their prata—hands down, it’s the crispiest and thickest prata in Singapore. The only downside is that their curry lacks a bit of zing and often doesn’t have a distinct flavor. Their chicken curry is reserved for other dishes, which is a bit of a letdown. However, their gorengs are commendable and worth trying. Overall, a great spot for exceptional prata!
I’ve been here thrice and not once has the food disappointed me. The plain prata is so crispy. Paired with the curry and sambal, the combi is just elite. Teh Halia ice is great too.
Easily my favourite prata in Singapore
Always come here for prata fix when I'm craving some. Favorites are the egg prata and plaster prata. Their plain prata is also always made fresh and therefore always crispy and fluffy when you have them served to you. The other dish that I enjoy is the Maggi goreng. Popular on weekend breakfast times so come early or just come between meal times to avoid the queue.
Enaq is my go-to place for prata fix! The wait time for a table can be long on weekends.
Their pratas are perfectly cooked: crispy outside, fluffy inside and chock full of ingredients if you've ordered the flavoured ones. My favourites are their plain, egg cheese, bomb, plaster, Mee Hoon goreng, and teh halia. For the adventurous, you can try their kothu prata (prata that is chopped up and stir fried with spices, served with a side of curry). Thosai only available during breakfast from 7am-11am or while stocks last.
Their serving portions are bigger than most prata shops (especially their murtabaks), all the better for sharing!
Kottu prata and bomb prata were too good. But recently the bomb prata has fallen in terms of taste and quality. Hope they can raise the taste again soon!
While it’s pretty good - tastes like a fried bread, I wouldn’t go so far to say it’s the best Prata place, and most certainly wouldn’t make a trip to the west. The curry is not something to shout about (don’t like to at all), but the environment is cleaner than most Prata places so that makes it enjoyable (Altho I do wonder if part of the experience in eating Prata is having it at a dirty looking coffee shop 🤔) but please patronise this shop so you don’t add to the queues at the other better Prata places 🤭🙂🙃
This is the only place I noticed that serves Kothu. Basically, roti made in char kueh tiaw style. What a refreshing concept! Or probably because I don’t explore enough haha. While there are limited choices for curry, the rotis are so crispy and chewy that I’m happy to eat them without the curries.
As always, the place is packed during lunchtime. The wait itself isn’t too long, about 5-10minutes.
I will be back!
Finally drop over to try this "So called Top 10 Crispy Prata" in Singapore.
Located at Jurong East, this is not a place I came often, unless there is raving good food review.
Yes. This is crisp indeed, but too thick a layer and come with 2 pieces really give a "jialat tummy". I think it's the oil they used that left a bad lingering taste. Furthermore, good prata comes with good gravy. The gravy they used is very watery and nothing to shout about.
I preferred the prata stall at Toa Payoh , Block 70 kopitiam. It a solid hidden gem.
Overall, the food is objectively decent but more suited to a Chinese palate.
Ayam goreng is crispy and well-seasoned. Prata... is very very crispy but thick. You will like this prata if you like keropok.
One outstanding item was the kopi tarik and teh tarik. Just the right amount of sweetness with the 'tarik' flavour. I will definitely come back for the drinks.
In conclusion, my mother likes this place a lot. Will come back again if she wants to, or if I want a good kopi.
Great place for supper!! The prata are made to order and it is crispy on the outside and chewy inside. There are a wide range of different prata to try from as well. Do note that there are limited seats at the store and it can get quite packing during supper timing. And though the store closes at 11pm, it is recommended to go there before 10.45pm as they will stop taking new orders.
This hidden gem has super delicious thosai too..
IMO the best bee hoon/mee goreng i have eaten. If you love spicy food like me, ask for extra spicy and the cook will add chilli padi. The prata is very crispy and the curry is consistently good. This stall serves sambal chilli and curry to go with their prata, Deeeelicious!!! oh... and not forgetting teh tarik. Today i ordered the ice teh tarik. Parking is easy, right behind of the stall. Do avoid lunch crowd
One can dine either in airconditioned comfort inside the restaurant or in the area outside. Good food especially the pratas which are a favourite with many. Expect a longer wait for your orders during the weekends.
Came here for dinner. Its a decent size place. There are seats indoors or outdoors. Tried their 'crispy' prata... Nice. But it's don't go well with the fish curry. Think it might go well with chicken curry. The sambal can't make it.
Hit drinks are less sweet but nice to drink.
Taste: Plain prata still good, plaster was good but bomb's standard dropped quite a far bit. Cannot tell the difference between sugar and plain prata. Briyani rice was very average but the masala chicken was super soft and tender. Will recommend to eat the prata but briyani please go Blk 338.
Cost: $14 for 2 pax
Waiting time: 15 minutes on a Sunday Night
Overall: 8/10
Read great reviews about a 'hipster' Prata shop selling crispy plain prata. We decided to go for a try. We ordered 2 plain crispy prata, 1 bomb and 1 egg onion prata. This is the first time we tried prata this crispy. Quite unique but do take note that it came be a bit overwhelming due to the amount of butter used in the ingredients. I recommend trying it out if you happened to be in the area!
Decided to visit the shop after reading many positive reviews. The egg and kosong prata are made on the spot. Outside crispy and soft inside. Even come with additional sambal chilli. Tea is hand prepared on the spot and excellent fragrance.
Best spot in the west for crispy prata! However do note this place is popular and you need to queue for seats if planning to dine in during peak hours. There's a short wait for food as prata is prepared to order, served pipping hot from grill. Plain prata is the must try here as it is really crispy and fluffy. Egg prata is not as crispy but still good! If you're dining in, there's sugar provided on each table for your prata too. Definitely a to go place to kill prata cravings.
The prata is really delicious. Crispy at the outside and chewy inside. The combination of chilli with curry is interesting. Not bad.
As for the gravy personally i think the gravy at Boon Lay Hawker Prata is much better.
Ppl would love this place for their crispy prata. The fluffiness remained despite being deep fried, definitely great for those who like their prata done that way. However, it may be a tad too oily for my taste buds (personal opinion)😅 Prata comes with 2 types of curries too~
2nd time: still too oily but the teh is amazing!!
The pratas are very very crispy and thick.
The plain pratas are bout 1.5cm thick.
I think it's one of the most crispy pratas I ever tasted. A bit on the oily side though.
Curry mutton is yummy. Mutton is so soft
Don’t miss the plain prata too.
Don’t get me wrong! It’s amazing food and all (no sarcasm). I was disappointed tho, at the slow service during peak hours where we were promised 20 mins waiting time which turned out to be 30 mins for a prata. When we asked the staff about the whereabouts of our meal, we were brushed away. Totally understand that peak hours are tough for the kitchen, but managing customers is part of your job would you agree?
prata is fresh and nice but curry is a bit diluted
Hard to find nice and crispy prata in sg.
I really love the food here especially the roti prata. It's crispy on the exterior yet fluffy and chewy on the inside. Service may tend to get slow and the premises is small so finding a table may get difficult.
Price is above average. Have air-con. Place is small but cosy. My favorite is Mee Hoon Goreng ($4.2). Murtabak($8.0) is huge portion. Plan prata is crispy, but when eat a lot feels a little oily.
Over all a nice prata place, will come back again.
Crispy prata, excellent dhal & sambal. Friendly stall manager. Must visit & try out yourself. Juicy chicken crisp on the outside!
If you love crispy prata this is the place to come to. I ordered the fish curry was kinda disappointed as the curry was not flavorful enough. Hence feeling a bit jelat after eating everything. Price wise was reasonable. Staff needs to be better train in handling with food as it's a sensitive time right now. Overall I think it was okay.
Prata is thick and crispy on the outside. Popular place. Curry was a little too watery for me, but I enjoyed the sambal.
ENAQ used to be one of my favourite places when I visit my good friend staying near there for supper. It used to be super good and consistent with the texture of their pratas. However, it seems as though now they are using more oil to make their pratas crisper than usual which is an overkill. And their curry seems to have changed.
The pratas here are so so good! A lot of choices. Service is fast. During lunch it tends to be busy so prepare to wait but wait will be so worth it!
Have been patronising since 10 odd years back. Definitely can’t compared to them, but still one of the better prata in the west side! Especially their sambal!! Not a lot of places serve that condiment!
really go far away, but it was worth it. love the plain prata so crispy and hot because freshly made, and mixed with chicken curry the broth was soooo thick, rather than the plain prata one. and juicy chicken meat. definitely will go back there. super love
Very crispy and nice prata. Not overly greasy. Curry is not spicy and sambal chili is not spicy as well. Teh Terik is quite smooth and not overly sweet.
Favourite place t have my prata craving fixed! Prata is fluffy yet crispy. Absolutely love the chilli served tgt with the prata.
I was impressed with the staff’s friendliness, even though they were very busy. They always remembered to put on a smile, making my experience enjoyable.
Came to Enaq at 303 Jurong East. Had egg prata and nescafe. Honesly the chinese staff here are very polite, and that is their plus point running an indian food outlet. Nescafe tarik was nice(done by chinese lady). The prata is nice but the dough is sweet. After having afew mouth of the prata, the sweetness of it makes it abit "Jelak" abit tough to eat. I think if the owners take this advise to reduce the sweetness of the dough, this could become the best prata in the west. If the prata is not sweet i would give 5stars. And thankkyou for your politeness dear Enaq team...
Food was nice..Staff are friendly & helpful. BUT only downside is the place is cramp small..They should expand!!..Kudos
Best prata place in the west of Singapore. Crispy on the outside and freshly made. Very nice and friendly service too.
My absolute favourite prata spot for hot, fresh and crispy prata ☺️ My family also enjoys their other mainstays like the Fried Chicken Nasi Goreng and Maggie Goreng - so sedap! Wash the meal down with some hot Teh Tarik for the ultimate Singaporean prata experience.
I have ordered two sets. crispy prata.
And the thosai set. Very good taste . Must try.
Blk 303, Jurong East St 32.
Best parta in Singapore. Must try Plain Prata and Maggie Gogreng
The prata is crispy but quite oily. You might get sick of it because of the oily. Can request for less oil if possible. The chilli so so only. Wasn't what I expected from the review mentioned.
Fantastic prata. Crispy and doughy at the same time! Prices are very reasonable and portions are big. So please dont over order.
Their pratas are crispy and awesome!
A variety of pratas amd drinks to choose from.
Pretty much the staple for roti prata at the west side. So good.
The shop sells nice prata.. The plain prata is thick yet crispy.. Other prata are nice too.
Considered a cosy nice place to seat, eat and chat.. Food is good and time passes quickly here. Good air con in a small space but limited seating capacity. Recommended to pop by if nearby. Not sure if wifi is available
My favorite prata place. Very crispy plain prata. Their prata bomb is sweet and buttery, sinfully delicious.
Their fried chicken is deliciously crispy. Definitely a must try with the briyani.
Crispy prata not common. It you like prata to taste Crispy like cracker than this is for you.
Crispy and big portioned pratas from a wide range to choose from. Friendly staff too!
This Prata shop serve crispy prata and delicious curry.
They got a wide range of food and drinks 👍
Best crispy prata in Singapore. Affordable and comfortable air-con restaurant in the heartlands.
Crispy prata and overall not bad. But they do have plenty to go for other then prata.. the biryani is not bad too!
Very nice and clean environment, very crispy Parata with many choices. Beyani Rice very nice too. Good place for Parata lovers.
Prata that is crispy outside and fluffy inside. Large portions with great taste, simply unbeatable with neighborhood prices.
Imagine a prata like this ... soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. With every bite, the prata juice just oozes out with perfection? Seems far fetched? This is what perfection taste like...
Would have given them 6/5 stars if there was air-con, but nope, genuine greatness must be enjoyed in a genuine environment ... aka coffeeshop style.
Best egg prata in Singapore. The Beehoon goreng is good too. Now that they have aircon, I rate the atmosphere higher at 4*.
I wouldn't eat my egg prata anywhere else!
If you want the best prata, then come here. This is a short review because there is nothing much else other than to experience the quality yourself.
The place has been renovated a fair bit to have an indoor air-conditioned area plus a few outdoor (original) tables. The total number of tables/seats remain unchanged.
Very nice prata food tuck within a hdb estate.
The Meggie goreng was nicely goreng, not wet or soaky. We had prata plaster which was finished off with a well-cooked sunshine egg "plastered" on top. The prata crips was perfect too. And the curry was to our liking since we were not use to heavy spiced curry.
We enjoyed everything we've ordered.
Very good find in a place like this, deep within residential districts. Prata is lovely, but the speed is not.
Ordered ahead on grabfood and I still had to go there and wait for 20 mins. They even clicked and notified me on Grab that they completed the order already and asked me to collect it, but I was already there and they still aren't ready, so why even do that? The speed is super slow. But the food is good, enjoyed it.
Limited spaces to sit and is usually crowded. There's a drink stall inside.
Crispy prata is nice but the curry is so-so..
Probably the best prata in the western part of Singapore right now...
I think the prata is ok only. Crispier. But then each person has his preferences. So just don't come with high expectations and treat it like a usual prata place.
The Prata still crispy but the curry can be improved further.
The fried chicken maggi mee can also be improved, ought to use more of the given seasoning.
The Teh Tarik and Coffee tasted Superbly nice 👍
Nice food and place. You need to try the honey banana prata if you have a sweet tooth, it is very nice. A nice touch to try sambal with prata, most of the time we are only expose to curry as a only complement.
Wanted to try this shop because of good reviews. Got a seat but realised that there wasn't any Halal certificate. Went to ask the supervisor. He answered nicely that the shop is not Halal-certified. Really appreciate that.
Deliciously crunchy, the chili sauce is really delicious, the party can't be beat, in fact
Great dish!
Indian pancakes are delicious! Open 24 hours a day!
Insanely good prata with quick service and crazy large portions for your money's worth. I got myself a 7.50 cheese mushroom murtabak and just look at the size. It can't even fit into the plate haha.
