The crab here was amazing! We had both the black pepper crab and the chili crab and everyone loved both. We also had a bunch of other dishes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the calamari! As others said, the service could have been a little better, but that adds to the charm of the place.

This place is famous for their crabs, be it chili or black pepper.2 time here for dinner. Their crabs is usually sold out early. Just happened they ran out of rice. Order their fried beehoon and Mee Goreng and a few more dishes. Food was severed promptly. The Mee Goreng was pretty good, suits those that can take spicy food. Prawn paste chicken was great as well.

No frills coffeeshop serving up a delicious black pepper crab. Can feel its authenticity from the simple and dated set up and elderly men cooking in the kitchen behind. Stir fry vegetables (Qing long cai) and mee goreng also among the best I’ve tasted. Service was mildly friendly and efficient. Total damage $91 - not too bad!

The black pepper crabs is the best. It is fresh and juicy, the meat is tender and slides off easily from the shell. And it is a must order. However this place is closing end of April. Other notable dishes are salad you tiao, and definitely the malay fried noodles.

This is the best black pepper crab in Singapore hands down and no other place ever comes close. They serve fresh humongous Sri Lankan crabs with the perfect sweet/savory/peppery taste of the sauce. Do order other dishes like fried rice and youtiao as well to complement the crabs! Parking is quite limited in the area therefore it is advisable to take public transport/cab to the place and come early before they run out of the crabs!

One of the best, if not the best, black pepper crab restaurants in Singapore. Generous on the black pepper sauce, perfect blend of spices without sacrificing the taste of the crab meat. There are few sizes of the crab (medium or large are quite common -800gr-1.5kg). I would suggest getting one large crab to be shared with 2 persons (1.2kg). You can eat them with rice or fried noodle/mee goreng, depending on your preference. I have been to the recent Ministry of Crab pop up at Shangri-la last year 2022 and the Eng Seng's version simply suits more to my taste. Restaurant owner has his/her own quirks, ordering tips: call up beforehand before coming to place your order. Otherwise be prepared for 1- 2 hours wait.

One of the best black pepper crab in Singapore, most dishes in the menu are good, qinglong vegetable, mee goreng, prawn paste chicken. Only complaint is the limited operating hours until 830pm, even earlier if they ran out of crabs. Well just have to go earlier so as not to miss it. And better give a call to reserve some crabs else moght end up making a wasted trip

Eng Seng is very popular for its Pepper Crab. It is very fresh and juicy and tender.. It is definitely a first try for me but all I can say is it is best and will be loved by non crab lovers like me.. Must try place for other delicious foods and best place to dine. I would say just grab yours as early as possible

Black pepper crab was good. The price is on the high side considered in a coffee shop. Worse was a 750gm to 800gm crab was charged at 1kg price. Make sure you watch the weighing scale when they weigh it.

Best chilli crab you will ever have. Remember to call in at least a day in advance otherwise no crab for you. You can choose between black pepper, chilli or steamed crab. All are great. Their crab is fresh and delicious.

Eng Seng restaurant is an excellent place to visit for local food. They serve dishes such as Crabs, fried Rice, Hor fun, chicken and of course, drinks. The food there is really delicious albeit a little overpriced. The staff are friendly and the service is acceptable. Cleanliness is also excellent at Eng Seng restaurant. My biggest gripe of this place is it is very hard to access. There are no bus stops nearby and parking lots are difficult to find in this area. However if you do look past these issues, Eng Seng restaurant is an excellent restaurant.

Two people ordered two black pepper crabs. The crab meat was so full that they couldn't stop eating. They were so full! The black pepper has a strong flavor and a sweet taste. Do people here like to eat sweet things? I also ordered fried kale. Usually I eat stir-fried kale with sticks, but here I eat leaves. , it turns out that kale leaves can be so tender, and they are quite flavorful and fragrant. I highly recommend them.

Although the dining environment is not as good as a high-end restaurant, the taste is king! Highly recommend the black pepper crab and order the white toast to dip it in the sauce! The chilli crab is not inferior to other restaurants. The point is, the price may be less than half that of a high-end restaurant.

The best black pepper crab I have ever eaten! only. . If you are just going to eat alone, dress normally. He will be afraid that you will eat the Overlord Meal and keep staring at you while you eat. It’s better to pay first and then eat^^
