This place serves up a hearty burger for the soul!! Thoroughly enjoyed their new Ono Ono burger (pork with pineapple, coleslaw) and the beef chili loaded fries. Beer is $10 a pint all day so don’t have to rush for happy hours. The place is not too crowded for a weekday. Expect to pay about $20-$30 a burger with fries (after service charge and tax)

Fat Boy’s The Burger Bar at Upper Thomson is a must-visit for burger lovers. With generous portions and endless customization options, they offer a standout experience. The FAT BASTERD, a double beef patty with crispy bacon, cheddar, fried egg, and BBQ sauce, was rich and satisfying, while THE NOSH, my first pork burger, impressed with a crispy chorizo pork patty, spam, and chipotle mayo. The quesadillas and Philly Cheesesteak were flavorful hits too. Whether for a date night or casual outing with friends, Fat Boy’s delivers indulgent, delicious comfort food that goes beyond the typical burger joint.

This has been our go-to family hangout for burgers with chill vibes and we super love their milkshakes! 🍄‍🟫 Cream of Mushroom Soup $6.50 Thick texture with chunks of mushroom bits. 🦑 Beer Battered Calamari $14 Perfectly fried chunky calamari with wasabi mayo dips. 🍕 Grilled Chicken Quesadilla $14.50 Tender grilled chicken wrapped in a crispy tortilla, packed with gooey melted cheese, served with bolognese salsa sauce. Well-seasoned and I love it! 🍔 Fat Basterd $24 Our usual and still the best of all! Double beef chuck patties, chewy bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg and Fatboy’s bbq sauce on sesame seed bun. 🍔 The Nosh $17.50 Our first time trying their pork burger: crispy chorizo pork patty with fried egg, spam, and chipotle mayo on a sesame seed bun. 🥩 Steak & Chips $26 We didn’t specify the doneness, but the ribeye steak was perfectly grilled with just the right tenderness. So good, it was delicious even without the sauce. 🥩 Country Fried Steak $22 Crispy on the outside, with tender cube steak coated in a secret herbed seasoning, topped with cheesy béchamel sauce that is a bit salty for my taste. 🥤 Root Beer Float $8.50 🥤 Strawberry Milkshake $12.50 🥤 Vanilla Milkshake $12.50 🥤 Vanilla Milkshake + Nutella $14 A must-try: their classic vanilla thick malt shake! You can also customize it with PB, Oreo, banana, caramel, marshmallow, or Nutella for a yummy indulgence. You can also customize your burger patty, choose from beef, pork, lamb, chicken, or Impossible meat. The food portions are huge, so highly recommend this place for big group gathering as they also offer beer promo all day long!

The interior was beautiful and rustic, the food was amazing. I specifically travelled for the nostalgia of the burgers and I was satisfied with the standard of the burger still and the portion was so worth it. The servers was extremely friendly and I would travel again even though it can be quite far 🌸 Only thing that you might be confused about is the ordering price as they will already include GST and service charge when you order via QR code.

Fatboy’s Burger is located at 187 Upper Thomas Road. Located in main road facing, it is very easy to find. There are few carpark lots at the front but you’re better off getting off-street parking in the neighbourhood behind the café. The ambience is great with a nostalgic feel with decorations from the past and music from the 1980’s. I ordered their “Fat Bastard” ($21.00) which is double beef patties, single sliced bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg and BBQ sauce on sesame seed bun. The beef patties were generous and the combination was very tasty. However, we found the sesame seed bun was too soaked with the BBQ sauce which made the holding of the burger slightly challenging without the items falling off. I also order the Spicy Hot Drumlets of 10 pieces ($14.00) as starter. The Spicy Hot Drumlets are spicy but there flavour was not in anywhere unique nor extraordinary when compared to those from a well-known household name pizza chain restaurant. Furthermore, the portion of Spicy Hot Drumlets, which I had, were unfortunately very dried on both inside and outside. This left me to suspect that they have been refried. For drinks, I had a Root Beer Float ($5.80) which cannot possibility go wrong – standard root beer and vanilla ice-cream. It will be better if the mug was chilled and frosted (like in another well know establishment). Overall, I will recommend this place for great get-together (4-6 pax) but food is a hit and miss (at least for me).

Burgers are nice and very reasonable considering they come with fries and some salad on the side. This is a nice cosy joint with friendly staff and nice music. Drinks are a little expensive but they do have a self service kiosk for free water. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

It's a good place for tasty burgers, very satisfying, served with fries and a bit of salad greens. The fish sandwich was amazingly crunchy. With some burgers you can choose to have beef, lamb, or pork as your meat. We definitely went home with full stomachs.

Came here without a reservation on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised that the waitress still managed to grab us a seat. Food as usual is definitely worth the calories. Waitress was quickly to highlight that they're having the 10 bucks a pint promo. Had the Fat basterd and Monster mash. It was really good, from the buns to the burgers and sides. The patties were juicy n well seasoned though occasionally you still get some crushed bones within the beef Patty. Love the seasoning on the monster mash as well. Fries were nicely fried with some weight in it. (Not those thin shoe string fries) Do remember to make a reservation as it is almost always packed.

Good location and good ambience. Open seating with comfortabld benches and high tables. Staff are friendly and prompt. Food is super heavy. Patty is really thick. Food has great taste. The shakes are really yummy - must try. Parking on the roadside could be challenge.

At the time of this review, this is the only remaining Fat Boy’s burger place in Singapore. We were told the others had to close because of covid but they are keen to expand again. Service was fast and the staff were so thoughtful to check if the food was alright and if we needed anything else. Ordering is fuss free via QR code at the tables. Atmosphere was pleasant and fun. Highly recommend!

The last time i was here was 10 years ago. This place is still as fantastic as ever with its great burgers like the shroom melt and beers. I bought the chope vouchers during the promo and got a decent deal. The beers like Stella and hoegarden are still 10 bucks all night long. Would definitely come back again.

Came at 11am on Sat, no crowd. Friendly and attentive staffs. Ordered an Indulgence (foie gras with pork) and Fat basterd. The indulgence was goo, pork patty was juicy and tender, and pretzel bun was nice and soft. Juicy double beer patty in Fat basterd but did not enjoy the thick and dense sesame bun. The thick fries was good, freshly and crispy. It’s worth the price.

Great variety of burgers here and you're bound to find one that fit your liking. Otherwise, you can customize one yourself. Burgers were alright. Bacon was hard and tough to chew. Cheese sticks were overfried and doesn't have the 'stretchy' tecture when stretched apart. On a side note, $10 pint draught beer after 10pm is a pretty good deal

A below average burger place with above average milkshakes... I tried a classic burger with bacon. The selection in menu allows to pick how the patty will be cooked. However, the result was far from a medium rare beef I requested. Quite dry patty, mediocre quality beef and not satisfying bacon. At least the vanilla milkshake was on point. The worst part at the end - they left a bay leaf in my fries...

At first glance it looks like another burger joint that will pierce a hole in your wallet with stingy portions but I'm actually impressed by the size of the burger. The patty is succulent and you can control the doneness of the patty if you order beef. Its pretty juicy too. Be prepared to shell out $13-25 for a burger set that excludes drinks (a cup of water is refillable for free, just ask).

Food are a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Wide selection of burgers, even have option to customize. Recommend beer-battered onion rings and Wimpy burger. This branch is less crowded than the Dhob Ghaut one. The layout is very similar to the one in Holland Village, must way quieter.

Went there for the first time. Fantastic burgers, and equally good fries.. really crunchy. The vanilla shake was thick enough for the straw to stand upright. Service was fast, but it was peak timing and there was a queue waiting, don't expect to linger around the restaurant as the guys will come around to try to clear your plates, but not in a pushy way.. but you ought to get the hint. This is not a place to sit and chat at peak hours unless you are a regular (I would presume). Parking is also a bit challenging but can be overcomed because of the good food! Sorry we gulped down our food cos it was so yummy.... so no pictures so share..

What is this is my third time going to Fatboy’s burger. No actually it’s the fourth or fifth time. Well the burgers are very tasty I would say. I also tried quesadilla but that one was not so good. Beer battered calamari is somewhat okay. Yeah that’s about it they used to have some other branches in the city where are used to go and it was good. This one is also good but I feel something missing.

Had lunch here on 18th Sep. Ordered the Bleu Peppercorn whilst colleagues ordered the Fat Basterd. The patty was delicious and the portions were sizeable. Pricing was equivalent to the quality of the food served. Service was welcoming and not intrusive. Food was served in a timely manner. The 10++ all day pints for beer were value for money!

Great burgers with great value! My family loves this place for the variety of burgers (with different meat patties and buns). Try out the basic bacon cheeseburger or the Mahalo with a pork patty and pineapple slice. The fries are served hot and crispy. Always good to add on an ice cream float!

Let's just say that once you step into this burger joint, there's so much confusion once you set yourself into the first bite of the burger (I had two different burgers, 1 beef & 1 lamb). The combination of freshness of the meat, the juiciness of it, the... handmade feel when you munch into the meat as it breaks apart and melts in your mouth; this is something that you would want to repeat over, and over. The ambience is just right, with high seats or low comfortable ones (depending on availability) and the burgers are not overpriced for the portion that you get. Once you try it, you'll definitely be back for a second time.

Recently been going to Fatboy's more, their standard has really improved yet the prices still remain affordable. Compare a burger meal at MacDonald's now to Fatboy's; any of the Signature Selection at Mac can easily go up to $12-14 while a Fatboys Burgatory 2.0 is $16. I also highly recommend the Fat Basterd.

Sunday early evening in April 2021 visited Fatboy's Burger Bar at Upper Thomson for family dinner. Like this Burger Bar with black and white artwork on walls that gives a retro feel and relaxing ambience . Food is decent and staff are friendly and prompt in service. The entire place is filled with benches and stools. In my opinion, it would be good to have some chairs with backing for comfort of elderly folks among diners.
