Reviews of Golden Cafe Food Court
First visit to this food court.
Spacious, bright, clean and many food options available.
Tried panfried buns from the Sheng Jian Bao stall. Taste good! $6.50 for 4. Also ordered coffee from the drink stall, not too sweet 👍👍
Will try other stalls as it is a convenient location for me.
Came with an old school mate to catch up and try their “King” Lobster Pao Fan which hmmm size kinda more like small. Taste wise is not bad. While the xiao long bao taste not bad. Food Quality B Quantity B Service None
The food court here is exceptionally clean and bright, unlike the renowned chicken rice food court at the other end. I ordered 辣子鸡, 青椒炒肉丝, and 鱼子酱炒茄子 from the Mala stall. The food tasted delicious and was reasonably priced—all three dishes cost less than $30.
First time here, shenjianbao caught my eye and decided to dine here. As I really felt like eating fish, I ordered a Fish N Chips from western stall too.
Shengjianbao is crispy but meat portion is smaller than what I had in China few years back.
Fish'N'Chip is absolutely delicious! The batter is a little saltish and not too thick, the fries is fried to the right crisps and the coleslaw is nice and different from most others. I can definitely feel the love from the chef and team! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
Though not apple to apple, I feel Fish'N'Chip is more worth than shengjianbao.
P.s Sorry that I only remember to take photo after eating halfway 😅
Tom Yum La Mian - $6
New food court at Katong Shopping Centre (Basement)! It's located at the opposite end from the original KSC food court. This new food court is brighter, cleaner and well ventilated. Didn't leave the place smell like kitchen. Not much stall opened yet but the choices are decent;

I really enjoyed the Tom Yum La Mian from the fish soup stall. It really has a kick to it and full of ingredients. Interestingly, their minced pork has a hint of salted fish and I love it!
My friend had their normal Mee Hoon Kueh and enjoyed it too.
It's a nicer food court to be at if you are in the area. Hopefully they can maintain it that way. Looking forward to all the upcoming stalls.
The Hokkien Mee here is a delicious, savory delight with a perfect balance of flavors. The tender noodles, succulent seafood, and rich broth create a mouthwatering, comforting dish that's absolutely satisfying.
I ordered roti prata for breakfast and it was good. For drink, although I have asked for the ‘siew-dai’ (ie: less sweet) option for ice kopi, the staff are still adding lots of condense milk that make it too sweet for me.
Ambiance is good, it is clean, bright and quiet during non-peak time with strong air-cond. If you are sick for laptop-ing In expensive cafe this place could be a good economical alternative.
Food options here is a bit limited. Basement, no windows. Possibly refurbished recently, looks clean. Roast meat stall pork belly was perfect
Has lunch with my family and I was very happy with my shrimp dumplings noodles ($6 + $1 [top-up noodles]) & 生煎包。The noodles were so smooth & non-sticky. The dumplings skin was so smooth & light. Even better than DTF. Soup was yummy too but a little too little for me. I am a soupy person & would likely ask for more soup in the future. 生煎包was really yummy with a nicely & evenly pan fried base. The soup inside the bao was yummy too! Will definitely come back again as the lady boss was friendly & nice! I told her her food was very yummy & she looked so happy. Must wait a bit. I was the only customer as it was abt 2.30pm & waited about 10-15mins for my good BUT I will wait again for such nice yummy & comforting food! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Surprised to see this beat new cafe at a little run out shopping centre.
It's less crowded out compared to its
Opposite crowded neighbour... and much cleaner and spacious.
I hv not tried the others with the exception of the Rojak stall which is really good. It has an extra touch of a flavour that is that undescriply good.
It's a must try stall. And the kopi stall has a pretty above standard Tehsie.
Worthy to carry on makan.
Liked the zhichar stall and claypot noodles. Mala and korean stalls seemed popular with the crowd. I personally find the lightings way too bright and warm. But the aircon is strong
Very comfy. Lots of food choices. Air con comfort
The food is good, but the environment is not ventilated and your clothes will smell after eating the food!
Ate here for the first time. There’s a range of food including prata, western, mala, chicken rice, porridge &mixed rice. Great queue system where you order and your number will be called on the screen for all stalls. One of the corner where the seats are, are extremely warm though and it can get quite uncomfortable sitting there.
Love the pao fan.
Beauty soup or the 美人汤 from Bugis Soup is a must try here. One and only branch on Singapore
The chicken chop with spaghetti is a big portion at its affordable price. Reminds me of old school chicken chop.
Love it
Try Ding Wang Mala. It's nice!
I will come back here definitely again! Still got so many foods to try
SHENG JIAN BAO is the best, crispy & flavourful with meat juices.
Clean and have AC. I love eating there
