Reviews of Han's Cafe (Chinatown Point)
First time visit to this outlet yesterday at lunch time. As expected, it is spacious, has big tables and the tables are not too close hence allowing some privacy. The meals are nice and reasonably priced. Drinks are good too. Had a lovely time at this cafe with my old friends. Will patronise this place again in future. Recommended for gatherings with family or friends.
I have dined at various Han’s Café outlets over the last couple of decades. I only go there for two types of dishes: fried rice and fried/wet noodles. These are my favorite dishes, and I can’t imagine visiting Han’s without ordering them.
This isn’t my first visit to this outlet. I had a craving for fried rice, so naturally, when I saw Han’s, I found myself walking in uncontrollably. LOL.
The process is simple: you order at the counter, get your drinks, soup, and dessert, then find a table and wait for your number to be called to pick up your freshly cooked food.
Unfortunately, the fried rice I had here was so bland that I couldn’t enjoy it like I used to. I added lots of white pepper and green chili, but it didn’t help at all. The man sitting at the next table, who ordered the same dish, told his friend that it was tasteless too.
It’s disappointing, and I hope they maintain the same standard across all outlets.
Prices have increased over the years as well.
The breakfast set was ok. The scrambled eggs were a bit too dry, and the ham is a little too salty. But overall, it is ok.
Service was good.
Always wondered why is this cafe so popular as the food seems very normal and it's not very cheap as well. After trying it I would say the food quality is not bad and the portion was quite generous. Heard that their hainanese pork chop is the best seller but I didn't have to chance to try it. Probably would be back some other time to try it.
No longer like the Hans of yesteryear. Seems like a place gor older age people. I look left & right, 90% of guests are older generations. I recalled my days when Hans was so popular. Just hope it continues its business moving ahead. I am still a fan for Hans Hor Fun 😊
This branch serves up very decent meals from the signature fish and chips pasta sandwiches hainanese pork chops to zhi char dishes. The ice lemon tea is refreshing because the tea is freshly brewed and gives it extra oomph! Be prepared to wait for around 15 to 20 min during peak hours.
Not too bad for a quick bite. Lots of elderly people having a coffee and chatting around. But realise their prices has been increasing whereby food quality remains the same
Haven’t had the pork chop in ages and it made my hungry tummy happy! Parents enjoyed the fish n chips as well as hor fun pretty much too!
Nice quiet place to meet friends for a cup of coffee or a meal. Good selection of food served here.
Hor fun is overpriced at $10 even though the portion is not big and they only gave 2 small prawns :( iced yin yang taste quite diluted also. the place is very spacious and in a quiet corner of the mall though.
Salty tau sa piah skin was abit harder than traditional, and filling was less fragrant than flagship stalls like long fatt. However, overall still a good tau sa piah in my opinion. Enjoyed eating it!
Good place to go for a weekday breakfast. The environment is clean. They have the breakfast set that comes with coffee/tea.
Food standards has deteriorated a lot. Ordered a chicken chop. Meat is not hot and fries are cold. Soup is very little. price is 15.80
Chicken chop set that comes with soup and bread, drink. Afforable price, average food.
Affordable food at decent quality. Food takes quite some time to be prepared during peak hours.
Was looking for a decent lunch in aircon but I'd have to look elsewhere in future
Omelette with ham was the best choice albeit quite oily
Hainanese pork chop with rice... Rice was good quality but trouble began with the sauce that was just too sweet and tangy
Aglio olio would have been just fine but we were recommended chicken which was a HUGE mistake
The chicken pieces had a pong that even the Hainanese pork chop sauce couldn't overcome
It was a terrible letdown for the cooks hard at work in the kitchen cos I could see they were really giving it all they had but we had to leave the chicken pieces on the plate.
Coffee and tea were pretty respectable. The terrible chicken almost got 2 stars from me but I guess I'll just order something else next time and give 3 stars this time.
While I would describe the food as average quality, its value for money was decent for a breakfast in Singapour.
Not bad but some dish was too sweet.
I have been eating at various branches of Han's for many years. Tonight I had an excellent light cheese and onion omelette with dry crisp chips and a nice garnish of salad, while my wife had the humungous club sandwich. Quick service, very good value for money. We agreed it was time we submitted an adulatory review.
I like the place as there are many tables and chairs for people to have meals and drinks or coffee and tea. I like the Haninese pork chop cos the portion is big and price is ok. Some westerners like to have western sets here. Some tourists or retirees or people on off day like to have tea and light snacks here and spend the afternoon away.
Food was alright, they have vegetarian menu, quite vegan friendly.
The usual familiar Han's experience you'll get.
Good place to catch up with friends and rest from a busy day of shopping. The crowds are intense but service is swift with both man counters and automated ordering machine.
Good services.
Ample seating within the restaurant.
Could do better with the pricing.
Food is of average quality. Wouldn't recommend it during peak hours. There are better choices around.
Open cafe in China town mall. Reasonable prices and nice pastries. Good for meetup and families.
Great place for coffee at the very reasonable price. But, difficult to find seats, as always crowded.
For some reason there’s always no available seats when I went there. Always crowded and no one leaves their seat!
Staff was kind and cheerful, food was what you would expect
Gd svc n consistent food. Beef aglio olio yumz
Reasonable good food. Price is quite fair.
Good services. Very nice Teh C
Fast and efficient and yummy.
As usual crowded
Han's tournament
nice breakfast
It was delicious, but the price was a little high. It's not expensive before, but it's a shame.
The coffee in this shop is very in line with the taste of local retired old men. I like it. However, the price is twice as expensive as that sold in ordinary hawker centers. But if you really like it, just put up with it.
it is delicious. There are no side dishes like in Korea.
