Reviews of Happy Kampong Seafood
Very delicious food. Ample parking.
I love their White Bee Hoon(WBH) and Oyster Omelette (OO) most!
WBH not too watery
The OO, oyster big n fresh and tasty while the egg, fluffy. Shiok!
The duck with sauce, not too worth the price.
Thai toufu nice but alittle spicy 🔥
Gong bao chicken cube taste average but meat just right, not stiff.
Vegetable xiao bai chai, a little disappointing.
Overall experience on food was great!
Surprisingly good food for a restaurant that was literally in the middle of nowhere! We stumbled upon this place before running an errand around the area. Each of the dishes we ordered was really tasty at $32 for the small size of each (fried rice, pork ribs and long beans with fried eggplant). If I didn't live so far out from here I'd definitely love to be back more often!
A rural restaurant/coffee shop which I like the ambience. Very quiet if you go after dinner time, feeling relax having dinner there. Staff are fun and friendly. The down side was the steam seabass that we had was not fresh and food not hot overall not appetising. Maybe we were not having the signature dishes. Will try other recommended dishes next time.
The nyonya fish was thick and quite good. The chicken was smooth and tender but the keropok was oxidized(lao hong). The bean curd with was of great value because it came with the vegetables on it so much so that I couldn’t finish the French beans. Would definitely come again for its cheap value.
Nice quaint place, good zichar, the yam paste dessert is rather delicious and reasonably priced. Skip the crab, they lack the freshness.
Nice food. Tried their Kampong chicken, cereal prawn, duck, sotong. Food were served very fast.
My regular zichar stall that serves good food with reasonable price.
Don't worry about the no frills look. Just great food served promptly by polite staff. Highly recommend the fish steamboat. Super rich and tasty broth filled with fresh fish and veggies.
Spacious. Reasonably priced. However, I find the food tasted not as nice as before. Still ok given the easy parking and dining space.
Ample parking.. decent food and price..
cant gate keep this place anymore! always pleasant experience here; spacious seating + yummy tze char at reasonable prices. service is quick as well.
Fast service. Nice food. Reasonable price. Rice or noodle in big portion enough for hard work labourers. Food also healthy choice. Not so sweet or salty.
Affordable tse char :)! We ordered the gu lou yok, 3 egg spinach, fried chicken wings, hot plate tofu, sambal lala and rice for 6 pax <$100.
Quaint seafood place that is hidden in the industrial area. Food is really good and affordable. Service was also quite fast. Only downside is might have to wipe the utensils as some are dirty
1st visit on week day night. Not much crowd but food not bad.. Tried the fried kamkong garlic, crab meat fried rice, pan fried duck ( ok but but bland yet not oily)
Good tze char food at very reasonable pricing. Their signature 'standing' roasted chicken and assam fish head are must eat dish. They are located in industrial area and best to get there by taxi.
Friendly staff that always welcome us back, just like our family members! We always enjoyed their food, in particular the steamed prawns and fried bee hoon. Yummy! 😋
Food was ok. Highlight was the shark's head fried w salted vegetables.
Need to catch a taxi or drive there. There is no bus or MRT
Dishes were tasty and well served. Ordered their signature black bean sauce lala and French bean with crispy egg plant which were truly unique. I don't normally eat lala but the ones served here were fresh and went well with the sauce. I did not try the standing kampong chicken as I heard from friends tasting it that it was a little dry and quite normal, but you'll never know unless you tried it. location was slightly out of the way, driving is recommended.
Tucked in a quiet corner of Tagore Industrial Estate, this cosy little restaurant indeed gives you that kampung feeling. Ample parking along the road and no crowds to jostle with. It is ideal for folks who like to stay away from crowds. We ordered their signature assam fish head, hot plate tou fu and kai lan. Food did not disappoint. Assam gravy a little on the sour side, otherwise it was good. Bill for three of us came up to $50 including dessert. Friendly and attentive service.
Great place fot a gathering. Tze Char quality is good and affordable. Also unlike other tze char place, it is not too cramp and the staff are still friendly even though it is peak period! Only down side is that public transport is out of the question, would recommend to take a cab or drive in.
Reasonably priced of better than expected food quality.
Will have given five stars if not for the cereal prawns which we felt was too dry. Though the cereal was a lot, but seems like jt was poured in straight from the cereal container and didn't have much taste. The buttermilk crabs deserved the full five stars! Plump and big with lots of flesh and slightly deep-fried which makes the crab meat much more fragrant! The white bee hoon was supposed to be their speciality but to me it was so-so, a bit dry and not that tasty. The scallops with broccoli was good except that the broccoli was a bit too hard n crunchy. I tried the orh-nee dessert and it was very good- not too sweet and very creamy!!
one of our family favorite dining place.. Nyoyan Fish Head, Shuang Chui, all are nice... portion are considering generous as well... Friendly and helpful Staff
Nice and reasonable price.
Not too expensive
Absolutely delicious and affordable. Big asahi big. Can hold wedding n put jaccuzi. Food is really good. Lovely kamg kong. Clams. N kamping chicken.
Great service, awesome food! We especially enjoyed the nonya fish head and mushroom beancurd dish :D
My family has been a huge fan of Zi Char for a long time
And this is our go-to place, I'd rather eat here for the steamed fish and curry chicken meat :)
Good food for vegetarian with lot of dishes , cheaper then normal HDB food stall n parking free,
Their dishes are unique and the flavor are superb! It's my family's first choice for Zi Char Dinner 👍
Good atmosphere. Great food. Not expensive. Seems to have dealt with the flies.
I thought I was in Malaysia. Friendly staff and good service. Will go there and eat again.
Good services with good yummy foods
A wide variety of Chinese dishes. Food was good and have been visiting this place a number of times now.
Gets crowded after 12noon on weekdays. Come earlier for better and faster service
Good food at reasonable price, their sambal is awesome and it goes well with their fried ricd
Resonable price, food is nice but oily
Food is good. Caters mostly for factory workers near by. Offers Zi char dishes too.
Kampong environment with good food n friendly staff.
Prepare for long Q for the seafood noddles and the price have increased 10% from last year.
Nice food, reasonable price and fast service
Quite difficult to get Grab from this place as it's rather out of the place. Food is ok though.
Good Good, Affordable $$, Easy "coupon" parking along the road side
Recommended! Try sanca drink, nice n fresh!
No fighting with crowd. Food reasonable and price too. No parking issue
First time here. Kampong feels, before major construction take place here in the near future
Good food, reasonable price, friendly staffs. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Really feels like kampong and the food is good
Good services Good specialty food Good reasonably Price .
Nice dim sum on a quiet Saturday morning in the industrial area.
Nothing special about this place. Just an average Zi char place.
Awesome price and food!
very good
A place put of the norm with good food
Good location, good food.
nice tzicha with affordable price
Ads detail and photo.
Not bad for zi char
Good food
Decent price
Very neat place
Ok
Good food
Food is reasonably priced. However, the signature kampong chicken is not as delicious as the seafood, and the fish is pretty good. The rice doesn't taste good. There are no restaurants around here, so this is the only choice.
The seafood is fresh and sweet!
The texture of the meat is very real!
Seasoned just right!
The fried rice has distinct grains!
Fried Hong Kong noodles are authentic and authentic!
The seasonal vegetables are crispy and tender!
Personally, I think it is very suitable for family gatherings or company dinners with more than ten people!
Curry fish head tastes good
But too little fish is a fly in the ointment
The food is numb, not very tasty
Super easy to use, super great, super accurate
tasty
Very delicious
