Tried the miso salmon soba – the portion is small, but the flavors are absolutely appetizing! The salmon and grilled chicken are juicy, perfectly grilled to just the right level. So healthy too! Plus, there's no GST or service charge.

Here at Hatsumi Donburi & Soba is not just affordable but also taste outstanding!! You know is good when you can hear 2 tables diners keep raving very good very good before you tuck in. Chicken Katsu Curry Don with Scrambled Egg Arriving in a plate with my rice swimming in a half-filled pool of hot curry and I couldn’t wait to devour this plate of goodness.  The chicken katsu is evenly breaded and fried, creating an addictive crunch. The chicken itself remains tender and juicy. The curry is equal part savoury and sweet and the most impressionable part was the hot silky-runny scrambled egg. Miso Salmon Soba This sweet and salty miso salmon served over soba noodles is a melt-in-your-mouth, satisfying dish!! The salmon flesh is delicate and moist. The soba is firm with a clean break to them on the chew This is a bowl of goodness, full of flavour, textures. Sakura Ume Soda Ume soda is really just a non-alcoholic version of Umeshu and soda. Is very refreshing

Awesome foods I came few times. I like all the foods I tried .Price is good No GST and Service charge. In addition the portion of the food is big. Miso soba range go with orange sauce is very refreshing. I like the Miso Halibut Soba. I had it yesterday (17/7) for lunch and today(18/7) back again for lunch. To me I like the soba range as it is healthy and delicious (lots of green go with selection fish, kastu chicken or beef) I packet Miso Halibut Donburi for hubby and he likes it Today 22/7 back to try the Kastu Chicken Miso, delicious

Very fresh Halibut, grilled to perfection and nice seaweed flakes on the top. Portion was very decent, and the sauce was yummy. This meal is healthy and delicious, I felt satisfied and not too guilty on calories! I’ll definitely return to try other things on the menu.

15Aug24: Good ordering system and dishes were prepared quickly. Taste wise not bad for the price. Abit tight and limited seating. Iced genmaicha tea is refillable.

Make sure you get a seat before you pay! Food was alright and made worth for the nett price. the meat was done pretty nicely. I think the local muslims know that no pork no lard does not necessarily mean halal. No muslims patronise the stall and rightfully so, when in doubt, just avoid and go for the halal certified/muslim owned options. I would advise the shop to get the halal certification for the muslims to have a peace of mind.

Delicious and value for money donburi for a quick fix for lunches and healthy choices. Ordered the miso chicken donburi, the chicken was tasty and flavourful but not too salty, the dish came with crunchy nori and sous vide egg. Will come again to try other things in the menu.

TL;DR - Already planning my next meal here.. Good tasty food at very reasonable prices. Must try! Tried this newly opened store at NEX as my kids love to eat donburi. You know the food has to be good when the tables are fully occupied, there is a queue and many people waiting for their takeaway orders too, on a Thursday early evening (6+ PM)! Here is what we ordered: (1) Oyako-don, add-on Sous vide egg ($7.9 + $1.5) (2) Chicken Katsu-don, add-on Miso Salmon & Miso soup ($9.9 + $7.9 + $1.9) (3) Grilled Miso Chicken-don w Sous vide egg, add-on Miso soup. ($9.9 + $1.9) The portions are huge and all the items were very tasty, super worth it for the price (which are also all net prices)! Chicken Katsu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, & the mayonnaise complemented it very well, it was awesome! My daughter super loved it. Both the Grilled Miso Chicken and Miso Salmon were seasoned just right and cooked very well, just so yummy and tender! The sous vide egg was very creamy and elevated the rice once mixed in. Lastly & needless to say, the Oyako-don was delicious, with the tender chicken, silky eggs and soft sweet onions. Totally wiped out by my 5 yr old son :) (except for the rice as it was really too big portion..) Oh and we added an order of Charred Broccoli with Ponzu dressing ($5.0) as I heard raving reviews about it. OMG, it was super good! Reminded me of those "lok lok" broccoli I had in JB. Definitely overate for this meal but no regrets! Will surely be back to try other items; I heard that the cold soba is very good too.. Next item to try! :)

Passby the shop and it was packed and we Singaporean likes to follow queue so why not try it out right? Haha. To my surprise the pricing compared to the quality of food they serve to be honest totally worth it. I ordered Angus ribeye don, Charred broccoli and Karaage. For sure the Don's sous egg is for instagram, poke liao waaa the rest leave it to social media liao. Beef was tender and no beefy smell then mix with the sous egg waa legit nice. Those who likes loklok kind de broccoli should order this!! Really charred but no bitter taste at all. Sibei good! 👍🏼 Lastly deep fried karaage. Freshly fried karaage can never go wrong la, juicy, flavourful and crispy. Overall its a good hearty meal to be honest and pricing wise worth it compared to other Don places i've tried because of the standard of their food. Will come back again for sure!
