Reviews of Kazan Japanese Cuisine
The katsu had a nice crispy batter and the meat was tender and tasty. The portion was pretty decent while the rice was actually a little less than a typical bowlful; more importantly I think the rice tasted better than average. I also liked the miso soup which was served piping hot and tasted quite good (exceeded my expectation for sure). For $7 I think it's pretty good value and I wouldn't hesitate to come back for more, especially since I've yet to try their best selling teriyaki salmon and chicken offerings.
This is one of my fave stalls in Chinatown complex. The prices have risen over the years (it’s around $7 for a set now) but it’s still very value for money for the sheer quality of the food.
I love their black pepper and teriyaki chicken sets, while the grilled fish set is the go-to for my friends. The sheer number of bento options is mind boggling, and all worth a try.
The owner is also super friendly, and always has a big smile. Do note that the stall only accepts cash though.
Amazing Curry Pork Katsu Rice Set (SGD6.5)
Freshly fried crispy pork katsu, sliced into thin enough slices for both the young and elderly.
Generous amounts of carrot and potato inside the curry with the typical delicious Japanese curry taste you are looking for 🍛
The kind owner even reminded me to not touch the hawker centre provided trays as they may be not the cleanest. Very quick wait today ☺️
Bought for young daughter and told her this stall is famous for teriyaki chicken.
She ate and gave 1.5 ⭐. 🙄 Best part she finished the entire chicken and rice. So it definitely can't be 1.5⭐.
Believe it gonna be worth 4⭐.
Finally got to eat this again after more than a year - my favourite San Sho Ki Teriyaki Chicken still tastes as delicious! ☺️ Friendly and earnest owner, best service! Rice looks slightly less cos I requested for less rice but portion is good! Do check them out!
Literally one of the best Oyakodon places (they serves other bento sets but I'm just an oyakodon lover). The Food and price point makes it just so good for value. The oyakodon tastes better than most restaurants out there, not gonna lie.
Such a amazing store to get your Japanese food quick fix! The meal starts from $5.50 but the quality of the meal is so good! Owner is also very friendly and willing to accommodate! Love this stall, would be back again if I could! Highly recommended to try it!
Delicious Japanese styled food. Reasonably priced. Cheerful, polite and humble shop owner even when swamped with orders. And he is not Japanese! He sets the bar for hawkers in Singapore. You will want to eat your food at the hawker center for the best experience of his dishes.
Really affordable Japanese food. Be prepared to wait for 10-15 minutes as you food will be cooked for you personally (but this is the point!). Fresh and tasty!!!
Go off-peak hours not crowded, food was great
After I moved house, I haven't eat here for a few years
Really miss the nice food and cheap japanese food.
I first tried their volcano style noodles back at Novena Square. However their unique wet Curried Rice on hot pot stone Really stoned me with perspiration and tongue wagging.
It's spicey hot yet the crispy tori karrage
Gives you the added Voom n boom.
Nothing to lose except you got to wait.
Too fast, unlike me without a picture and had already finish the food😅. Ordered Curry chicken cutlet on a raining day. Simply delicious 😋..thumbs up...
Super affordable and authentic Japanese food. Never fails and the shop owners have great attitude!
The male boss very friendly !!! He will tell you don’t out the utensil on the tray cause dirty !! Foods good and affordable place ✨✨
Reasonable price and tasty Japanese food
Food turns out better than expected😍😍
Especially their SALMON set and their KATSU teriyaki set🤤🤤 MUST TRY!!
Ordered the pork katsu rice. I got a thin piece of meat which is disappointing.
The curry and unagi is really excellent. Had to be patient with orders though
Really good salmon teriyaki with rice!
Good food at very cheap price. Sure 5*
Cheap fare and very nice food
讚讚讚👍
There are so many options on the menu, I was a bit anxious about the choice
The boss recommended the signature Japanese salmon set meal
The salmon was fried crispy on the outside, retaining the fat inside
The thickness was not too thin, and it was a perfect match with teriyaki sauce
For those who don't like salmon, I think it's a pretty good Japanese dish
Local Japanese food in Chinatown Complex.
The yuzu pork cutlet set was very cheap at 5.5SGD.
I thought the cutlet was huge, but it was mostly ham cutlet.
But the cutlet was fried well and not oily, so it would be a good snack to go with beer at a downtown izakaya.
The sauce that came with it was probably a pre-made product made in Japan.
The miso soup was a bit thickened, but it was okay.
The only problem was the rice. It was a bit inedible.
